41  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin exceed 20k this year like in 2017? on: May 14, 2020, 02:10:22 PM
Bitcoin price is far from reaching 20k in 2020 and the year is close to ending, If bitcoin stood still at 10k this few days then the possibility of exceeding 20k would be one but for now i will say it's zero. Because most investors are not working out money at the moment. As we know about the crisis in the world, so the fate of bitcoin is in the hands of traders and miners for now. we need more investors to see the next bull run if that doesn't happen anytime soon then we should focus on bitcoin exceeding 10k.
42  Economy / Speculation / Emphasis of true decentralization on bitcoin on: May 14, 2020, 01:25:36 PM
They are so much importance of bitcoin working on a decentralized network. I will write a few things on decentralization.

When something operates on a decentralized network, it is prone to hacking, open-source, and low risk of system failure.

Bitcoin is a decentralized currency,

The principal aim of bitcoin is decentralization, to enable a friendly transaction module between two people. Without the presence of a middle man or a third party like the bank,

they are over 10,000 nodes in the bitcoin network each node records the network data and helps to verify transactions, Bitcoin is among the most decentralized currencies but not the best, they are other currencies that stand ahead of bitcoin in decentralization in this article https://www.quora.com/What-is-the-most-decentralized-cryptocurrency

Benefits of decentralization in bitcoin

Open source:
Bitcoin decentralized network known as blockchain is accessible by anybody that wants to build anything on top of it, and also integrate bitcoin as a payment method for the project; with its proof of work that shows the consensus between those nodes, that proves every transaction legit,

Low risks of system failure:
A centralized network can be faulty through the central computer that serves all other systems causing a delay in every transaction. In decentralization systems, a node that goes offline passes their workload to other nodes, so that applications can keep processing transactions without any delay.

Disadvantages of decentralization in bitcoin

Hacking: As I said, hackers can penetrate any network and have access to people's money and relevant online assets.

Fraud activities: The decentralized network of bitcoin tends to be untraceable. Unless your exchange wants to be part of the investigation then you can get back your funds but in most cases, the fraudulent act comes up every day regarding the blockchain network.

In conclusion, they can only be one currency that will take over bitcoin in the future, a currency that has a blockchain that tackles those disadvantages above. If users Can have a decentralized network that can provide them with sufficient pieces of information. About their activities and how to trace their money back then people can trust them better than they have done to other cryptocurrencies.

Thanks

Just like the common saying by Christians, God will provide, Yes but we have to provide for ourselves before he does. Everything is in our hands because we operate in this world, so God can intervene at will when it is due. The prayer of every man is to be among the chosen people by God.
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Remove the bad influencer from your life! on: May 13, 2020, 03:48:58 PM
That kind of person is not on my target list. I focus on people that are desperate about bitcoin. The bad influencers will get desperate soon, not until then I won't listen to them anyway.
45  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you feel this pressure on physical gambling? on: May 13, 2020, 03:42:56 PM
The feeling is natural especially when you are losing, and your competitor has their friends close to laugh at you when you quit.
46  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee says he received call from Satoshi Nakamoto asking not to be reveal on: May 13, 2020, 03:38:42 PM
John McAfee is a know clown on twitter that replies to a tweet on his comment box. The last time I checked he said something about how many times he has gone to jail and the countries he has been convicted. So he just wants to trend, I don't think Satoshi knows him he is focused on virus and internet security. He just acquired a little knowledge of Bitcoin invested and wouldn't let people rest.

49  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Life will most likely never return to normal, or at least in a very long time on: May 13, 2020, 03:16:08 PM
Time flies, changes, and things cannot be the same. I grew up to not see those events OP listed above as a prevail edge but now I can see that clubbing and meetings are things to appreciate. Took them for granted but it is now a feeling to see a crowd of people reciting a song at the same time dancing. Those feelings are gone and I won't say forever because nothing will last forever not even the social distancing. Here in Africa people are stubborn and can't be controlled like people in the first world. Most of these activities have been banned but still, go on daily. I am saying this so that you will know that they are a high possibility that life will still get back to normal.

I disagree with you, I still saw many users with high activity is still spamming, cheating, etc in this forum. (it means high activity still doesn't know rules)

Okay saw your emphasis they are all accurate, but an active users that has a different purpose of spamming the forum will learn faster still.

Don't forget about this user, they have excellent contributions in this forum. All of them is Sr.Member, but they qualified become Legendary (zasad@ still 907 merits, but I think he will get 93 merits soon)

These are the kind of active users I didn't state in my posts because they have no lapses. I am illustrating things to brand new users that seem not to understand how activity works that is why i made those examples and didn't bother to know why and how they managed to be in that situation. I hope they will understand after going through the article than being misinformed.
51  Economy / Speculation / Re: The excitement is over, what's next? on: May 13, 2020, 02:42:12 PM
The next is watching how the market will perform, so it will serve as a lesson to newbies that will flood this forum with questions by next four years about bitcoin halving.
52  Other / Politics & Society / Re: is there such a thing as healthy person? on: May 13, 2020, 02:34:19 PM
It is normal to find a sickness after each test, the body system is not perfect. Something must be wrong one way or another, Varying from how you think, and stress your heart that may result in high blood pressure to how a body can be infected by not washing their hands properly and staying indoors So the doctors as you said to know all this, that is why they are doctors, if you are sick you meet them that is when you are unhealthy but it is unhealthy to meet a doctor when you are not experiencing any symptoms in your body system. Because the doctor will find out a new sickness in your body that may kill you. why? Because you are hearth broken and think a lot of what the doctor just told you.

Many of them needs the approval from religious leaders to invest in crypto
I don't know how real this is, but to Op so many things are compared to the price of bitcoin. Before halving we saw topics like what happens to bitcoin price after the event. Bitcoin price can be affected by the Chinese "New Year" I experienced it in 2018 February but for Eid I am not sure how big the event is to affect the price of bitcoin. Just like what i quoted.

If you look at the merits that OP received, you can say that he is more likely to get a higher rank in this forum. I see his rated posts. The only thing I want to wish is not to set a goal, constantly focusing on the request for merit. Just being helpful for a forum is a more convenient position. If we go to knowledge with an open heart, then, of course, they will be visible to people, and your posts will be appreciated soon

Thank you for the acknowledgement. It is a thing of joy to see some other people appreciate your work. I think it's one of the benefits that i will include in this thread, Acknowledgement enables a users to see that he/she is not just working alone for themselves. You are very correct when you said

55  Other / Beginners & Help / Better clarifications on the "Activity" function for brand new members on: May 13, 2020, 01:51:24 PM
Greetings to our brand new members they are lots of topics in this section about what I'm writing about but. I made this article very clear for you to understand in a way that you will see the differences between users and their activities in this forum,

How ranks work with activity

Check this link it states the rank and how it corresponds with activity and merits. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2534500

Just like in real life "not every soldier is a hero and not all heroes are considered soldiers" This quote will help you understand my Examples below,

Lists of  Users with high activities but low ranked.

Username: Nicecrypto
Activity: 882
Merit: 15
Position: Member

If you checked the link above you will see that this user is qualified to be a Legendary member from his activity in this forum, But his merits number is lower than required to have that rank,

Username: Leonardo7
Activity: 560
Merit: 13
position: member

From what we have here this user, is qualified to be a Hero member from his activity in this forum, But his merits number is lower than required to have that rank,

Username: sayma83
Activity: 252
Merit: 11
Position: Member

His activity on this forum would have gotten him to the Senior member rank but has barely 11 merits which qualify him to be a member-only,

They are plenty of soldiers like these users above but are not considered heroes. It could be a result of how they focused on their activities, how many lives they saved etc.

These users have been active for more than A year in this forum but channeled their activities differently maybe they didn't help other users to get merits (not sure) or their activity on this forum isn't interesting for other users to learn,

Lists of usernames with high Merits but low ranked

Wenbing
Activity: 56
Merit: 15
Position: Junior Member

Wenbing has several merits that qualify him to be a member of this forum. He has a lesser activity that will get him to become a member,

Lucifer_8
Activity: 19
Merit: 24
Position: Newbie

The above user is a newbie but his merit can qualify him to become a member instead his activity is lower than required,

seabits
Activity: 42
Merit: 14
position: Junior member

These users possibly are considered heroes that are not soldiers because they know how to get merit regardless of their activity in the forum.

For instance, A person with good information about cryptocurrency registered into this forum as a brand new member doesn't mean he/she is a newbie to bitcoin because he is new in the forum.

Advantages of Activity over Merit

Active users tend to learn faster and know much about the forum

Active users are chosen in campaigns

Active users are strong enough to participate in what they signed up for like, posting threads, commenting, etc

Advantages of Merit over Activity

Most newbie accounts with plenty of merits are owned by top-ranked members

They rank faster if they work harder than a user with high activity and lesser merits

They are considered intelligent

To round up, You signed up into this forum to be active, working to see that your place of learning is in good shape. So make it a duty to make yourself seen by other users. Your activity depends on you and the administrators while merits are given by other users to you for a job well done.

Thanks

57  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is consensus? on: May 12, 2020, 01:25:09 PM
This link will help https://www.investopedia.com/terms/c/consensus-mechanism-cryptocurrency.asp

Just like we know the definition of consensus to be as a general agreement. In cryptocurrency, it is used for record-keeping and the various participants of the blockchain must agree that all transactions are legit. They are different types of consensus like the ones above including POC proof of capacity. This allows for sharing memory to the contributing node on the blockchain network.
58  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Great news sources about the crypto world. on: May 12, 2020, 01:11:55 PM
Coindesk and Coin Telegraph are a good source of news about cryptocurrency, but beware sometimes because they have some posts in their social media that is sponsored by some altcoins, but nothing is wrong, I still follow them.
I am just more updated on their social media accounts, especially twitter: https://twitter.com/CoinDesk, https://twitter.com/Cointelegraph ,
once they share some of their articles, that's the time I check the article since I am more active on Twitter.

I prefer going through the information shared on twitter, Checking the comment box for relevant contributions and arguments. And also most of the tweets come from famous cryptocurrency Influencers so they are trusted information.
59  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help for use multiple bitcointalk account. on: May 12, 2020, 01:04:16 PM
Account farming is a great venture in this forum. You can have more than one account instead of having 2, It's better to have more than that and post a lot of services on the marketplace. Make sure you render those services, maybe resell them, focus on ranking on google and this forum ranks fast on google. So if you have lots of accounts that list the different services that you provide then you are good to go rather than breaking the forum rules by joining a bounty with multiple accounts.

PS: I know it is possible to edit your topic "U" should be in place for "A"
