1  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning]: Fake Uniswap apps on Google Store on: October 02, 2020, 02:28:56 PM
With the current hipe of DEFI and UNI tokens, I fear many have already fallen for this trap. There are already 63 reviews on it and a rating of 3.9 which is pretty good for an app. These are few things that will let users to download the app and give it a try.

3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Billion Dollar Company and Bitcoin on: September 21, 2020, 04:41:56 AM
After JP Morgan there has been a sudden and swift inclination towards Bitcoin by big corporate. I assume more to follow in the near future. In my opinion they will be somewhat able to control of the marketcap of Bitcoin after such a huge investment. Good to hear more and  more people favouring Bitcoin over gold now.

7  Other / Off-topic / Re: How would you give away as many free Bitcoin stickers as possible? on: September 20, 2020, 05:50:16 PM
Why do you want us to use those stickers?

What will we do with those stickers as they are not for a good cause but promote your website?

Why waste them device a strategy and then think of promoting them in the right way.

This cannot be true.

None of the MODs here are targeting you. If your post does not add any value then it will get deleted. Also please try to use Google translate if you have any issue in writing a post or a topic in English.

Language does play a considerable part.
10  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Wrong information about bitcoin on: September 19, 2020, 06:37:18 AM
This is why forums are way better than blogs when it comes to learning and getting accurate information.
On forums, users can interact with each other and whenever someone posts a wrong information you will see other members who will come and correct it.

Do not trust or believe everything you read online especially on social media platforms and make sure to browse more than one source when looking for answers to your questions.

In my opinion both are helpful.

An example why both are helpful:

A blog provides information about new technology to a user and forums help them in clearing the doubts. Information keeps on flowing without any issue. Hence both are needed for the information cycles to run smoothly.
11  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Perfect Money safe to store big money or not ? on: September 19, 2020, 06:32:52 AM
I think it depends on how long you are planning to keep the money in there, If it's for a very long time then i don't think it's a good idea. I am not so familiar with perfect money but in my opinion, I think it would be much better you buy one of those stablecoins like USDT, USDC etc if you are worried about price fluctuations of other cryptos like BTC, and then buy a hardware wallet where you can generate and address to store your coins so that you can have complete control of your funds.

Stable coins are scam do not fall for it. In my opinion the safest option would be to either store that amount of money in a Bank or Invest most of it into Bitcoin and Ethereum and transfer your crypto assets into a hardware wallet.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: USDT wallet on: September 16, 2020, 03:02:57 PM
In my opinion, the best wallet to store any crypto assets will always be a hardware wallet like Ledger. If you do not want to spend money on buying a hardware wallet then you can use a desktop wallet like Electrum. Atomic Wallet or Guarda wallet. Desktop wallets are also considered as a cold wallet if your desktop is not always connected to the internet. Avoid using a mobile wallet or web wallet as they can get hacked.
13  Other / Off-topic / Re: [GUIDE] How to get WHOIS information of a domain on: September 15, 2020, 11:59:49 AM
WHOIS information is only helpful if the owner is okay in displaying the website and personal information in a public domain. In general, this information is always kept hidden by the owners due to the domain service provider promoting privacy. If this information is kept hidden does not mean that the website is promoting scam.

14  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Start Using the BitCoin Lightning Network! on: September 13, 2020, 06:44:15 AM
In case if someone here is only interested in using a mobile wallet because of the ease to use it in day to day transactions then there are three wallets that I would like to recommend. All three are available for both Android and iOS.

  • Blue Wallet
  • Wallet of Satoshi
  • Breeze Wallet

Remember the above-listed wallets are hot wallets and are not meant to store Bitcoin for the long run. They are better for transaction purpose only. DYOR.

15  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to check whether your email address has been compromised? on: September 09, 2020, 04:35:14 PM
I have used these two websites in the past and they have been providing this service for quite sometimes now. They are not storing your email address when you enter it to check for breach.

The best thing to do incase if your email has been compromised by some platform is to contact the platform directly and question them. I did it in my case and found out that the information they are providing is correct.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Defi Effect - DYOR before Investing on: September 04, 2020, 02:39:31 PM
DeFi was never a safe heaven, some said it is bubble some said it is a scam. That does not matter as it has given a huge push to crypto ROI as many projects have generated ROI on the tune of 400 percent.

n my opinion it is awesome but it is too much hyped, such shit coin will stop this hype. We need to be very cautious and research new projects on DeFi before investing.

It is similar to what we used to do when ICO and IEO's were a hype and happening thing.
17  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to find Fake Giveaways or scam airdrops on Twitter? on: September 03, 2020, 06:38:49 AM
After seeing your reply I felt that you are one smart guy when dealing with airdops and giveaways. I also assume you have not encountered those scams yet. Till then remain smart and if something goes wrong in the future then remember these words

There some people in the world who are more smarter, intelligent and cunning than you.
No. I don't touch them because it is waste of my time. You have to search depend on luck and sometimes you have to promote scam projects when you do not realize they are scam.

I don't say I am smarter than scammers or anyone else.

Not all airdrops are bad you just need to find the right one.

For example BAT airdrop, Atomic Wallet airdrop, BTT airdrop and there are many others. You need to participate in airdrops for projects that are already established or being traded in exchanges.

What @pakhitheboss has suggested is another way to find out fake airdrops and giveaway scams on twitter.
18  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beware of Phishing Emails like this on: August 28, 2020, 01:31:15 PM
In my opinion in the initial stage when you open the email, if you check the senders email address you will get to know whether it is genuine or not. These kind of airdrops falls under Giveaway scam and it is always advised to stay away from any kind of giveaways related to cryptocurrency as most turn out to be scams.

Another way to verify whether the airdrop is genuine or not is to send a DM either to the sender on Twitter in this case Latoken exchange or to Stellar. They would generally reply to your query in couple of hours.
19  Economy / Services / Re: Roobet.com | YouTube Review Video | Earn up to $50! - Ends August 31st on: August 19, 2020, 03:18:33 PM
Hi! @Hhampuz

I really do not understand why the team is paying $50 for random videos on Youtube channels that do not have good followers? Why?

Neither will they get a backlink nor will they get a buzz from the YouTube gambling community. So, are they only creating a buzz to prove here in this forum that they can pay?

It is amazingly weird!

Please update.
20  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Clicking Google Ads can lead you to huge looses - Uniswap customers on: August 16, 2020, 02:25:23 PM
As I come from IM (Internet Marketing) field Iím not surprised to see google failing to stop such a scam right under itís nose, but then again itís not the first scam and it wonít be last one either which was executed on a google platform.

Iím currently referring to the scam which was targeted towards Uniswap customers, where an ad was created on google, and that ad was leading Uniswap customers to a clone Uniswap site.

Further that clone site asked users to input their seed, and I donít need to tell youíll what happens next when those users entered their seed details.

Lastly I hope that beginners and pros will learn from this and theyíll not let their guard down just because itís a google ad, and hopefully theyíll always remember that google doesnít verify these ads (for potential scams), as theyíre paid to display them and revenue from ads is all that matters to them.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/google-ads-is-failing-to-protect-people-from-crypto-scams

Okay! since, you mentioned that you come from IM, you will know anyone can create an advertisement using the Google platform. There is nothing like a filter to distinguish that this advert can result in a scam.

Google depends on its community to report those adv that are leading to a scam website. Unless it is reported Google will continue running the advert.

Rather than asking others not to click adverts, you should have informed every one here how to report such scam adverts.  Incomplete information will niether help the community not those who run genuine business like me and are depend on Google ads clicks for revenue.
