I just don't get it. What puts such a intense hype on meme coins? What is the use case scenario for all this? I see a very interesting SOL project listing all these new Memecoins like Slothana or Dogwifhat and just dont get the actual use case for it? I mean, dont we have enough memecoins on the market already with DOGECOIN or SHIBA INU? I hope someone can help me to unterstand this Everything is quite simple. If you noticed, these tokens have only speculative value, the task is to buy as early as possible and sell with minimal profit or wait for your X to profit. This is very similar to a lottery where for a few bucks you can get several hundred or thousand. But it is important to understand that Not everyone will be lucky, but 5-10% of those who take part will have to pay for the entire “banquet” This is just another type of gambling, only now it uses cryptocurrency instead of tickets. Thanks, so it is exactly what I expected it to be. I still wonder how DOGECOIN can perform so well with this. It's around for quite a while an with all this, some leding figures even push this crap to the sky. Weird and creepy how this actually seems to work out.

Ethereum's alternatives and competitors. See how Ethereum compares to similar products. Ethereum's top competitors include Solv Protocol, Radix, and Avalanche. Solv Protocol operates as a one-stop platform and a decentralized liquidity infrastructure for creating and trading nonfungible tokens (NFTs).
Ethereum is one of the top alt coins so no doubt it can be invested here. Many people have made huge profits by investing in Ethereum, I myself have made huge profits by investing in Ethereum. So if you want to invest in Ethereum then definitely you can invest. Ethereum is the most reliable alt coin but if you compare it with Bitcoin the two are ruling the two places. If you are investing in Bitcoin, you must invest fifty percent in Bitcoin and fifty percent in Ethereum. Whether you invest in Ethereum or Bitcoin, you must have enough knowledge about the market before investing, and if you invest with a long-term plan, you can definitely benefit greatly from this investment. Sorry man, this is off topic. You're talking about ethereum itself as the main subject is an ask about a big competitor of ETH? I don't know what you are tyring to pull with your investment recommendation here, sry man

But why 50k$ or not 40k$ or 60k$? There will be no specific numbers when it comes to bitcoin because bitcoins fluctuations do not completely depend on supply and demand. Bitcoin prices are still largely manipulated, and the price of bitcoin is determined by market makers . I don't believe in supply and demand at this stage as bitcoin is still too small and too easily manipulated . But personally I don't think they will let bitcoin fall before the halving, the price will continue to increase and will reach ATH before the halving occurs.
From a historical, technical perspective it could drop down to 25k or even 20k, as we started a run up to 15k in the very beginning and reached a bearish position down to 3k, which is 1/5 from that first high. Another bull run went all the way up to about 57k and dropped back to 15k, which again is about 1/4 of the second reached high. So if we expect a new bullrun to reach ~200k, a drop to a max of 40k could be realistic. Should a bullrun end already on a 100k, then a drop as mentioned above (25-20k) could be an option also. IMHO after this halving we probably wont see anything below 20k again. And Im very optimistic that we will cut the 100k on BTC this upcoming halving with this extraordinary greed right now. Btw we have already reached the alltime high on BTC, correct me if Im wrong

One of Eth’s biggest competitors is Binance Smart Chain. BSC offers a similar decentralised platform for building & deploying smart contracts & decentralised applications (DApps). It’s gained popularity for its lower transaction fees & faster block confirmation times compared to Eth. BSC's native token BNB is used for various purposes within the Binance ecosystem. Eth and BSC have different design philosophies & target audiences they both aim to provide solutions for decentralised finance (DeFi) & enable the development of innovative blockchain based applications.
From a technical aspect, I think BNB is highly dependent on the actual exchange "Binance", which makes it not as decentralized and independent as maybe some others, even though their CEO seems to be quite skilful. Also their Token burn is a good possibility to reduce supply. ADA has almost no use case compared to BNB, which makes it hard to compete. I hope to see more development at a later time...

I can't find a lot of news about the Pi Network. Is it worth still mining Pi Coins? Has it been identified as a scam yet? It seems to be stuck at the Phase III (Enclosed) since December 2021 according to their roadmap with no further information about when it continues with the Open Mainnet Phase III (Open). Is there actually a community building apps and utilities on the Enclosed Mainnet for the network?

Im still buying altcoins to enlarge my portfolio. Altcoin season is most commonly behind the bull run, led by BTC. A significant amount of coins haven't reached their ath so far, even though they're performing quite well and experiencing a terrific development. There might be some coins that won't be able to compete with the developments of others, meanwhile some coins are highly underrated. I'm not putting all my money into allcoins, neither do I use big amounts of money at a certain time, even though this could gain even more. I personally prefer a savings scheme with a steady amount of Cash to put into, as I believe that growth will be happening in the long run also.

I personally think that there are a lot of competitors trying to compete with ETH. One of my favorites used to be ADA with it's scientific approach. With it's peer review procedure they want to create a scalable, efficient and secure platform for dApps and smart contracts. It has a quite similar idea as ETH, although Cardano was limited to about 1000 TPS, while SOL is way faster, not just the speed of transactions but also the block building. As SOL is still in the early ages of development it has outdated ADA with a few things. I think ADA still has great capabilities to catch up as it's development ist still not finished. IMHO SOL and ADA are the most optimistic candidates to compete against ETH.

I personally think Solana is still worth a buy. CCTP just started, so Cross-Chain functionality opens a huge perspective for more liquidity. Besides that, Bybit as one out of three of the biggest players (capacity) offers a Solana Option. Also the Neptune Digital Assets Corp. just acquired 26964 SOL. IMHO with its reliable infrastructure Solana has very big potential to continue driving north.

Same here. I had absolutely no problems getting my wallet synced. It definitely took it's time but I'm quite excited now. I have moved my coins to coinexchange.io. So, what is the roadmap for TIPS 2018? Are there any suggestions on this? Transactions seem to work fine and fast. Is it possible to get this big (again)? There are many alternatives out there...

Alright, I downloaded the new wallet, still have 2 000 000 TIPS in my old wallet.dat. I tried to replace the old wallet.dat with the new one and restarted the Wallet. Is that how it'S suppose to work? Yes but, you will have to wait for the new wallet to sync, takes a while. Might be a bootstrap file on the OP of this forum. EDIT: Looks like they are still working on that link. Just have to wait for it to sync... I will just leave my computer on tonight I guess. Hopefully wallet is up-to-date in the morning.

Hi guys,
I'll be reading the entire thread as soon I get the time to, but until then I was hoping someone could answer me on a couple of things.
While many believe in IOTA, I see others who are very critical to it. Things I've heard are the following:
- The developers have written their own hash, which is a big no no when it comes to kryptos
- There is no decentralized product
- The tangle technology isn't new and the big problem with it is to get it decentralized
If someone knowledgeable and a believer in IOTA could meet these arguments, I would truly appreciate it.
I was also wondering if there are any other kryptos in the making that could compete with what the IOTA team is trying to do. Lastly I'm curious to how much you think this currency can grow in value the next 5 years, should it turn out to be successful.
byteball has a similar DAG concept but decentralized from the start. It relies on 12 elected witnesses by wallet majority. It hasn't gotten the marketing attention yet I think it has gotten the marketing attention quite well. Or how does it come market volume is above 187M? It is even listed on more exchanges than IOTA is.

Im totally in love with IOTA, I really like the project. Only problem I see so far is the rare acceptance on exchanges. I'm not a friend of bitfinex, neither their high fees nor their QoS. I know that since everyone is hopping on crypts there are problems with traffic, that need to be solved. Same with security issues. Before I get started with IOTA, there hast to be an exchange that I fully trust and I can fully count on. I've made very good experience with bitcoin.de, even though their fees are high too. I just sold all of my bitcoins the other day, not sure about this hype right now, it confuses me. I read in the news that Bulgaria still keeps over 200k of Coins which they have seized from criminal activities. Maybe I was too nervous about having these guys satisfying the current demand of Bitcoins . I think in the long run, ETH and IOTA are futuristic and promising investments... I will keep an eye on IOTA and their trading possibilities for the future. Hope to see them soon on more exchanges. Keep up the interesting and great work guys.

Whatever, I really like this coin and the idea behind it. I don't think that 21B will kill it, even though it will get hard to raise in value. But in the long run and eco system of the future needs more than 21M Coins for daily usage. And if you think of world population 21B isn't that much.

HI guys If i understand good, my coins are bloked on coinexchange cause they re waiting the new wallet? sorry if my question is stupid
Correct...you understand it perfectly I still have my old wallet.dat and I'm waiting for the new Wallet to go productive. Can't wait to see how much I have staked

"... i think you got testing confused with finished" That was an Epic comeback... well played. it wasnt really a comback although it may seem like it. over the years I have found that a lot of people assume testing means done when it comes to programming just because we usually think of testing as the final stage before release. which it is, but that is only true if testing goes well. otherwise it loops us back around to the development stages ECC is not DEAD ! The Wallet is still being tested I assume, you guys need to relax
|
|
|
we should have a new wallet for everyone coming out soon
I can't wait for it to be released, it's gonna get big here
|
|
|
Awesome, I can't wait to sync my wallet again, it's been over 3 years
|
|
|
Same shit here dude, I think we need to relax and wait for devs to get things done. I'm inpatient too but this doesn't solve problems
