What are your thoughts let learn together.
If he needs the money for an emergency, then you may consider giving it a second thought. Otherwise I think that it's just fine. I will start with the fact that in my early years of having a job, most of the friends I've lost by lending them money (and, in the vast majority of cases, never getting the loaned money back). Sounds bad, but this is the sad reality. I will add that it's your money, from your investment, by your decision. Plus, if you feel bad because he did you valuable lessons: giving advises is in most cases easier than following them. Most people try to share ideas and advises. That doesn't necessarily means that you have to repay them for that. And as I said about advises, I'll continue: nobody knows the situation as good as you do. We here can say a lot of things (free advises, heh), but we may miss details and it's ultimately all up to you.

Dupa cum ziceam, in principiu par oameni OK in spatele eXch. In realitate.. un pic de paranoia este necesara in lumea Bitcoin.

This made me think... what if I manually send notifications about big yearly events to the users using my telegram notification bot (~1000 users)? For exemple, icopress' yearly Bitcointalk Community Awards, the Bitcoin Pizza competition etc... I could send a one time survey asking if they want to know about these big events (which happens like 3-4 times per year, nothing too spammy). But then, which ones are "worthy" a notification? Maybe you want to know about the yearly community awards but not about a prominient member leaving the forum (because you might not care, etc...). It can be even 1 notification per month. And people can subscribe to that separately. Or even easier: somebody could maintain a thread (write and lock) with not more than one post/month, with worthy events and links to them. And people can just add that to tracked topics - with or without the bot. And a post can house much more info in case there is that much worthy info. I would be interested in getting such notifications.

Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Can Bitcoin save a nation that owes a lot of money / Debt

Usually Bitcoin price doesn't really rise when you want and as much as you'd like (although now, fueled by ETF, the rules may change). However, buying Bitcoin costs money, so the country may have to get into more debt and also the money will be locked in bitcoins, not fueling the economy.
But from what I know, El Salvador has pretty much done the same: bought bitcoins, although their economy looks bad. And obviously, IMF was far from happy. This for us, bitcoiners, may look like a fun fact, but if the country needs more money afterwards, the standard banks borrowing more will not give that. So it may be more than tricky to solve this just by buying some bitcoins. Plus it depends on luck and also how fast they'd move. Because buying near ATH is another problem.

The COPA vs CSW trial is something I don't consider as any news, since the truth is crystal clear
The truth was crystal clear from the beginning, but the fact nobody stepped up for real has allowed CSW bully a lot of honest people simply for being honest and bitcoin supporters. The current trial, apart of being quite a show, it should (I hope!) mark the end all that mess.

Is the halving good in Bitcoin? What is the main benefit of it? It becomes more expensive (2x) to mine Bitcoin (one gets half of the amount for same effort and electricity). And as the miners tend to be the ones selling the bigger amounts of bitcoin (to support their business' expenses, for example), it translates sooner or later into an increase of the price. Many consider the price of Bitcoin as made of 2 components: the price of mining it and the speculation related extra. I agree to them. This being said, on the long term the ETF may be the one that could reduce the volatility. But that will happen only after some rounds of competition in accumulation (i.e. possibly even wilder volatility for the first 4-years cycle). But I am no expert, I just express my logic and expectations. I may be right, or I may be wrong. Time will tell. PS. In the "what's new", it's not just the ETF and halving. I would add as kind of news the ordinals (kind of NFT on Bitcoin blockchain) and COPA vs CSW trial.

The question is: can we check the restoration words on Ledger Live or, if we've lost them, do we have to send them to another wallet and write down the new words? I assure you that there are many more distracted people than you think... Not to mention forgetfulness, moving house, unexpected destruction, etc. etc. etc.
If you can check that on Ledger Live, maybe Ledger could also get those words. It would be incredibly unsafe! Checking on the actual device - let's say it's okay - but leaving the device is a very bad idea. And if you lose your seed you can still create a second wallet and send your coins there. Of course, it's advised you create the second wallet in a safe environment (possibly another HW!). However, it's an unnecessary headache imho. Keeping physical seed in a good place is the easy approach. (If you forget where, that can cause a couple of hours of panic, but in most cases you will find it).

I don't know if it counts, it has happened for me with an altcoin (Monero), many years ago. I've put the seed words somewhere safe (heh, not sure why, since the amount were not that much) and after a couple of months I've forgot where that was. I've found it eventually, but I don't remember if that was in the same day or not.
The more interesting part is that I still own a small amount and, since I don't actually use them and I don't have them in an active wallet, the risk to get in the same situation again is actually quite real.
But with Bitcoin? Nope!

I haven't tried every wallet on the market. According to my latest tests, you can't check your seed with the ledger, for example, but you can with a bitbox. (handy if you've lost the words, for example, but have access to your wallet and want to write them down somewhere). It seems to me that being able to review restoration words is very important for a beginner, as you don't always have the right reflexes at first. What do you think? This information (whether or not recovery words can be accessed) is never found in wallet descriptions. (unless I'm mistaken)
I think that this "lack of a feature" can be seen as an extra security measure. The first thing that comes into my mind is what if somebody has multiple wallets, based on the same seed and very few standard English words. While, if knowing the PIN, only one can be emptied, with this "feature" and a dictionary based attack, all the wallets can be emptied. But maybe I am thinking too far and was just seen as an unnecessary feature, since people should properly save their seed words somewhere else.

Visit It's a very nice feature. I always had a weakness for custom, better looking QR codes. I will add a request though. @dzungmobile has a very valid point. Never trust any website. And my request is to add a step to your tutorial: Scan the resulted QR yourself and make sure it contains the data you expect.

just we can not find the problem if for all other users it works fine, unless somebody will cooperate with our support and show his issue. Maybe you are using bad proxy or something.. maybe old browser with turned off javascript.. Maybe cloudflare blocks your ip.. It could be anything. just for all modern browser and internet our website works fine.
Latest browser, javascript on, but also some extensions (Decentraleyes, ClearURLs). No proxy. I don't know how to check about cloudflare, but since clouflare leaves me be on bitcointalk I'd say I'm fine.

Ok, and then how do you get the money out of your wallet? Just click on the "send" option and enter my exchange address and then withdraw?
Yes, one option is to send some coins to exchange, exchange there back to fiat and withdraw you your bank. Or you can get a Bitcoin card - a VISA or Mastercard debit-like card that you can top up with bitcoin and spend in shops like any other card (of course, it's recommended to not keep that much bitcoin on such cards, the hardware wallet is much safer)

I think we need to have as much tools as possible to achieve better privacy with bitcoin transactions. Completely agreed. Whoever keeps millions on a centralized exchange is an idiot, period. All big traders are holding coins on centralized exchanges, and if you didn't notice Coinbase exchange is custodian for most Bitcoin ETF's so far https://blockworks.co/bitcoin-etf Coinbase is probably acting already like a bank. And businesses keep billions at banks. I hope that Coinbase are not idiots and have those coins in cold storage and also insured. Of course, examplens is also 99% correct. Most exchanges cannot be trusted (I would not trust Coinbase either, but that's me). For us, here on Bitcointalk, self custody is the best option. For the big companies there's no difference they keep their wealth in a bank or at Coinbase.

We already got hundreds users from whole world. So probably issue in your side. You can text to @paywithusnet to find out what is going on in your side
No offense, but 99.9% of the websites that interest me work perfectly. Imho it's in your interest to find out what odd scripts, cookies or applications try to embed in your website and adjust/fix, else you will lose potential customers with same "issue on their side".

And allow me to be a bit mean: maybe he confused it with Ethereum. I'm pretty sure that he knows exactly what he's doing and saying, he's just saying stuff in his own interest, that is the difference. Indeed, his confusion is almost certainly intentional and possibly just faked, so he can confuse others. I completely agree that his statement is in line with his interest, not with the reality. I've said it many times that we should never trust personalities' declarations.
