301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚡⚡⚡ [ANN] POPCHEST - An open platform for video distribution ⚡⚡⚡ on: April 29, 2018, 10:46:59 PM
There are so many digital distribution coins/tokens starting lately. My question is, why have a new coin/token if there is already a project working on this? Decent for example is already a year down the line. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1162392.0
302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] EngagementToken - REWARDING PUBLISHERS AND CREATORS on: April 29, 2018, 10:30:27 PM
I can understand the publisher/advertiser model, but it seems that tokens are used to reward users as well by the publishers. Does this mean if ordinary people engage on the platform/websites and view the adverts and interact with the adverts they get rewarded with Engagement tokens? If this is the case how will those users get their tokens and how do they give their address to the publishers to get their tokens? Also, how will users know that an advert will generate engagement tokens for them and distinguish an engagement ad from a non-engagement ad?

Hey JC, appreciate the question and interest! Publishers will receive a certain amount of EGT when they sign up with the engagement platform. They are free to distribute this EGT to reward users who deliver engagement on their content. It is not just/necessarily ads that allows the rewards, it could be, but the engagement platform is built to reward users for leaving comments and participating in discussions.

Only registered users of EGT will receive rewards for their engagements. Users will be able to set their wallet address to their platform account. This is also the way to withdraw from or transfer to the engagement platform. As for ads, I think you might be confusing BAT with EGT. However, ordinary visitors don't see a difference between ads, the ads are placed on the places where the action is - resulting in higher click-through-rates for advertisers (you can read more about this in the whitepaper, or if you'd like to learn more feel free to ask specific questions).

Advertisers also can use EGTs to advertise through promoted comments and promoted headlines ad units on publishers - when they do that publishers get their EGTs that they then can redistribute part to contributing users - closing the loop. As for exchanges, several community members are already putting effort in this, however I cannot comment on secondary markets from team's perspection.

Thanks for the clarification. Do you think it will negatively affect the project that users that want to earn EGT must first register? Lots of people from fhe public that will engage will not even know about crypto?
303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN: Belgian eFrank (BFR) on: April 29, 2018, 10:12:23 PM
100 billion is way too much. There will be no suitable market to match this apart from maybe a doge market.

What more is in this coin apart from masternodes? What will create demand dor this coin and what will it be used for?
305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | STRATIS | The first blockchain developed for businesses |Full POS on: April 29, 2018, 09:07:14 PM
Are you guys kidding me? I have never been more excited about Stratis then I am at the moment!! The tech is being rolled out slowly. There have been 2 milestones met already of the Q2 RoadMap. $500k PR marketing campaign is coming, EXPOs were a HUGE SUCCESS!! They have received great response and interest for the smart contracts! Jordan had a great talk and a great amount C# devs are hungry to start building with Stratis! We are witnessing the rise of a GIANT,guys! Don't miss the train! Wink

I hope we can find the correct market cap, like top 10 or even top 5, actually we can perform well, we are anonymous like XMR, and supports people easy blockchain solution, and ICO platforms, as well as sidechain and smart contract.

i doubt we'll end up in the top 5 but top 10 is definitely possible, stratis has all the features of an actual business when the vast majority of crypto companies are sloppy and amateuristic

Chris last year declared that any result over the Top3 would be a failure for Stratis.

The team has worked hard in the last year and now it's time to pick up many of those seeds.

Today, volumes are increasing ... maybe this is the day of the ascent to the top10-top5?

yes volumes are increasing and price going up as well nicely. It cant be more than a few months now for Stratis to take its position close to the top.
306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] DECENT Announcement - Decentralizing Content Distribution on: April 29, 2018, 03:45:17 PM
price dumping could mean we see price of few weeks previous 5k?  Sad

Team is so manipulated, they wrote "coming soon" for dumping more coins to you! Shit coin and shit project! Be careful with that!
Don't forget to buy their ALAX shit too Smiley

I'm glad there are trolls here or I wouldn't be as inclined to hold.

Dont let the trolls get to you.  Decent will just take some time to get there but they will in the end. I think their content distribution platform is a very good idea.

What is the purpose of the coins if you ask for donations? How are you going to make money for the animals?
309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Myetherwallet server hijacked on: April 26, 2018, 01:10:25 AM
MyEtherwallet might be hack but hackers cannot modify or sabotage the ETH blockchain. This news might be fake, or a part of whale price manipulation. Whales are getting richer by rebuying the dumps by weak hands.

People should just all get Ledger wallets. Then a hacker needs to press the button as well to send funds from your account which is more difficult than just to get a userid and password.

Thanks for the new thread. The new thread looks very professional and OP did a great job.
311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: (ICO) WELL - Airbnb of Healthcare powered by blockchain (25% Bonus) on: April 23, 2018, 07:10:49 PM
In theory it could be a good solution. However:

Healthcare is a business just like any other. How will the doctors make their money if there is up to a 30% reduction in medical fees? Medical services is time based and the best doctors will probably want to spend their time on higher paying customers? Is there not also a risk to miss-diagnose if a patient is at a remote location? Many times doctors have to see you, touch or examine closely to do a diagnosis.
312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | STRATIS | The first blockchain developed for businesses |Full POS on: April 23, 2018, 07:07:52 PM
That's pretty good coverage of the event, and of Stratis. It might help to clarify that Stratis allows you to write smart contracts in C# as well instead of Solidity, which is a new language to learn.

It is not every 2nd coin that gets mentioned in Forbes. Well done to the team for the exposure.

Yenten is dead.... no buyers, just miners... soon they will give up too.......

Yenten  is alive   Grin Grin Grin

No, dev hasnt been online since 9 Apr. There was a small window to sell Yenten shortly after it launched and before coinsmarkets died. If you didnt take that opportunity then you are stuck with a bag unfotunately.

can this coin be big?

No it wont. I wrote my remaining Yenten off. It is dead. Move on to the next coin.
316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]HashCard: Revolutionising HOW You Use Credit & Debit Cards on: April 22, 2018, 11:16:48 PM
Very interesting concept. After reading the whitepaper I have a few questions:

1. The cryptocurrency private keys are stored by you. Do you store the keys in HSMs?
2. The major switching networks will require a quick response time and merchants will also require a quick confirmation so that the next customer can pay. Do you foresee this having the required fast transaction times required by retail as traditionally crypto is not very much retail friendly due to longer confirmation times?
3. If you are keeping the crypto, how are you going to liquidate the crypto coins for a transaction if you have to send it to the exchange first and some exchanges requires many confirmations to reflect a deposit. What if a wallet is in maintenance on an exchange?
4. Are you perhaps using coinpayments.net or similar service in the background?
317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BLOX.IO [CDT] - Operating System For Crypto Assets on: April 22, 2018, 10:58:52 PM
CoinDash to the moon with +20% right now: https://www.coinranker.net/cryptocurrency/coindash

CoinDash has been rebranded to Blox.  Not sure when the Blox team will rename this thread so people are aware of the change.  www.blox.io is the official website and those wanting to use the app can try it out here:  http://app.blox.io
Blox will eventually make it to the moon.   Wink

I am very much impressed by the Blox app so far. It is a one stop view of a portfolio and has very handy features for example to see the dollar value of coins and tokens that would take some math to calculate. New items seems to be added to the app regularly. it is also easy to see the relationship between prices of BTC, Eth, Dollar movements like what is happening at the moment.
318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PRIVATE-SALE]NextPakk Blockchain Built for Last-Mile Delivery on: April 22, 2018, 10:17:39 PM
A few questions:

1. If someone buys from Amazon and it is shipped by Amazon to the user using their delivery system, will Pakka play a role here? How will you get Amazon to play along with you so that the delivery is done by the NextPakk system?
2. Can a user buy the goods with Fiat and have it delivered via the NextPakk system or is payment for the goods via Pakka as well?
3. Will a user have to specify to use the NextPakk system when he purchases online?
4. Where is the recipient's address stored if the package is label less?
319  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | STRATIS | The first blockchain developed for businesses |Full POS on: April 22, 2018, 10:02:47 PM
IMHO, there are no other crypto projects out there with a comprehensive set of features to use, when in use, introducing the true economic value to the token strart.
Why would someone buy a token to earn more money than pay it?

Yes but a lot of the other blockchain platform tokens, Cardano, WANChain, NEO, Zilliqa, EOS etc are currently doing a better job at telling their story and getting the wider public visibility than Stratis at the moment, even though I believe stratis has a better product and framework the visibility is not as good as some of the above mentioned.

One can have a better product but if it is not out there and adopted and used it doent mean much. A case in point is VHS vs Betamax. I believe that when Stratis do land its products it will be superior. I just hope that it is in time before another product is first to market and adopted. A lot of people are eagerly awaiting Stratis product launches.

Absolutely agree with you hence why they also need to do a better job at making the stratis platform more visible to the crypto community

Well, they did have the two conferences back to back in Delhi and London. Lets hope that it reached the targeted audiences as planned. From the recordings and feedback it seems that things went well.
