@jc12345 Better now then later  Are you saying that it just need to release forks to kill ""Bitcoin""? Maybe you should sell your bitcoin just now. Maybe all the next altcoins will be 1:1 forks of Bitcoin All alt-coins have the right to existence (including BCC) and it is anyone's right to attempt something new. Even BCC has the right to fork off as an alt-coin. It brings innovation. Sometimes one has to look at the bigger mile high view and the virtual currency ecosystem as a whole though and take a risk based decision on what to support. Personally I just think that there are other less risky ways to do innovation than to try and impact/capture the main chain. Block size for example has been addressed previously, it just needed 95% to support it. If that is afterwards not sufficient size there can be a plan B again. Forcing things becomes dangerous and we are all in this with the same goal to have virtual currency succeed. We cannot afford uncertainty/failure and Business hates uncertainty. What I am saying, is that all big pools should look at the bigger picture and not split up again and go on a different route come 1 Aug. BIP91 was forced in, lets stick to that route now and see how things work out and not mess around and take unnecessary risks on 1 Aug. |

nice work, unfortunately it is doomed to DOA  . reason : Waaaay to slow retarget. initial dump , huge hash power swich + auto swiching pools + hashpower renting = infinite years waiting for retarget. why do You try to reinvent the wheel? simply use every-block,exponentialy-weighted moving-average and it will work. or at least something simmiliar used in tens of altcoins. that can work below 1% of global sha256 hashpower .what is here proposed will die very quickly, instantenously to be precise. You commented without reading the whitepaper though. The retarget is addressed, so this is not an issue. Second, there are already futures markets trading this coin and so it will have value. As it has value, it will have hashrate. Also, replay protection has been added. It will definitely not "die instantaneously". But it remains an alt-coin and many alt-coins are listed on exchanges as well. Any hashrate taken away from Bitcoin will damage it and the whole ecosystem. If everyone just carries on with the chain as is the blocksize issue will be addressed through the normal course of business. Why risk it all? |

In essence then if this guy is behind BCC then supporting it would be to "give away" the ideals to one guy. Interesting that BCC is posted in the alt-coin section. That already says a lot. There have been thousand attempts to create alt-coins to Bitcoin, each one with a promise to be the "de facto" Bitcoin if adopted. The principle objective and approach of alt-coins should not be to take on BTC directly, but to provide some kind of a niche in a certain field. Taking on BTC should be secondary or a bonus should any mainstream adoption occur. Splitting the hash power of PoW can cause more harm than not but in the end miners have to follow the direction that will ensure their own survival and income model. It is like two cars racing at each other head-on. They could be hard headed and crash and maybe one or both survive, maybe the airbags deploy or maybe they both die. Or one could give way and keep the ecosystem intact. |

If you want to invest long term this is a good starting point to grab coins. It's close to 5k, that's almost half the ICO price. I don't know why would anyone sell their coins for loss. Project is going steady and growth is real. It should go over 10k sat any time.
I agree with you. now the value is incredibly cheap. so I don't know why it has been selling. I guess the team I didn't have time. he was impatient of investors, and sold it. Now GUP Price: $ 0.155172 and 0.00005631 BTC Marketcap Rank 154. Since June 9 is sold. it falls. hopefully , the new bullish trend with the support of the news begins.  Park your GUP long term and remember about it again in 6 months +. Just forget about the price. There is a big market (as old as the mountains) for matchmaking so that is not an issue. The trick will be to create an easy to use platform that is adopted. |

now there needs to come a hard fork to give that coins back it has been said that the three addresses affected were addresses related to an incoming ICO ! Does anybody know what project token or ICO was effected by this attack? A hardfork isn't the solution though....sloppy code will result in a messy outcome, so the solution is to not take risks with unproven code. This isn't the type of stuff for which a chain should be purposefully forked, right? The Eth developers set a principle when they fixed the DAO mess. Once you decide to move down a slippery slope I think it becomes difficult to operate in God mode to decide who gets saved and who not. It would have been much easier if the DAO hardfork never happened. Who knows going forward when Eth transactions will be safe and when they could be rolled back. How would the Eth team decide if they will save a situation or not? Maybe it depends on whose coins get hacked? Who knows what will come of this? |

No NNT will be swapped back for NNC The swap for NNC to NNT was an option presented that you have chosen to exercise https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1802657.msg19786990#msg19786990due to cryptopia list fee of 2 million DOT. After swap ended cryptopia made it's decision to lower their fee to 200,000 DOT. Swap option was presented weeks ahead of swap dates to allow NNC holders time to decide what action would be best for each person. The swap was very successful with the exception of 1 single person claim of 1.2 million NNC being stolen from them by the dev which is very false and our systems was in fact attempted to be hacked by this person from multiple IP address throughout swap and prior dates as well, simply georgyous looking to scam us. People should be given the opportunity to swap back if NNC gets relisted. A key part of this is the misrepresentation of the swap value at a price way more than its value. Thise "sells" were probably fake to get to the value and there are absolutely no trades since and sell offers are fraction of the "swap price". The lack of token verification is also an indication that NNT was probably created as a worthless token to trick people to swap to NNT portraying NNC as a bleak future. Please answer why you are not verifying NNT token. Is it co-incidence that the relisting should happen now after swap closed and you own a ton of NNC? How could NicNacCoin score any gains from NNC when this coin even wasnt an ICO. He might want to swap because of his internal mental problems that threaten to disrupt the integrity of his mental and physical state. Sure he will not tell u anything until the swap is finalized. If you followed the thread, NNC got delisted, then there was a swap of which now seems worthless NNT tokens for NNC at a what seems like a arbitrary fictitious swap ratio. The swap means that the dev now has most of the NNC tokens and users out there sit with NNT for which there is no market. Then NNC gets relisted shortly after the swap ends and dev can now sell NNC tokens at higher prices if/when he wants. I might be wrong but in crypto world this story line could be co-incidence or not. Also, 1) not verifying the NNT token. Verification means confirming the dev's identity by the Waves platform, through a similar method that Polo uses to verify an identity for increasing withdrawal limits for AML purposes. This enables the the dev to be traced in the case of a scam. That is the biggest value of verification. Why has it not been done for several months? 2) not being willing to swap NNT back to NNC now that the mist is lifting and things are clearer to see that falling for the swap was big mistake or worse. 3) why should the dev swap back as he also has 365billion NNT and most NNC. Lesson learnt. |

It seems too convenient that after the dev swaps out NNC to NNT suddenly the decision is made to list NNC again. This seems fishy as now those NNC will be able to be dumped. NNT looks like a dead horse as there are only buy orders at 1 sat and the dev continuously fails to verify NNT to have a tickmark. It all looks dodge. Was this just a plan to get hold of as much as possible NNC berore a re-listing or not? If NNC is to be listed again, then worthless unverified NNT should be swapped back to NNC.

Hi,
Part of my coins have been swapped, but just part.
I had about 2 million coins, although I finished sending them on the 6th late on my timezone, I only received around 800 NTT and the last NTT transaction was somewhere in the middle of the day.....
I would have sent them sooner but the swap system was down as we all know...........
Almost all of the coins were sent to the same NNC address and payment id as the dev instructed me over PM because the system was overloaded on the 6th......
To be honest all of this begins to sound to me like a big scam..........

I got all mine swapped in time, but I dont know yet if it was the right thing to do or not. |

I am not a tech guy, but i know it's a good news for stratis .This coin is in my buying list for its large potential.
It is (I'am a tech guy). It is very good news, indeed. Unity is an extremely popular game development platform, and many, many mobile games have been developed with it - for example Angry Birds. Unity uses C# and therefore it's compatible with Stratis libraries. For example, think mobile games and Stratis sidechains for in-game tokens. Next logical step is to collaborate with Unreal Engine (which is also very popular game development platform) How does this compare to Gamecredits and MobileGo? |
