The NFT notes are already on KnownOrigin and OpenSea,... and the physical notes are available to pre-order now! (there's a link contained in the brochure, alternatively visit bitcoin-banknote.com).

The pre-order price is $250 for the first 25 notes. The price is fixed until the 8th September, then the remaining 25 will be auctioned individually, as and when - only 50 pieces will ever be produced... so its quite limited!

The digital artworks have been selling from 0.5 eth to 2.9 eth ... so we decided to set things at $250.

Anyone who pre-orders gets:-
1) ...a 15% discount on the next in the series
2) ...an invite to a forthcoming London gallery show later this year, where this series will be showcased.
3) ...entered into a lottery, where they can win the next release, which will be even more of a limited edition (only 40 expected to be printed).

Very nice...when will they be for sale and what will be the price per note?

Yup!
It's all focused around ETH because ethereum dominates digital art platforms and opensea... stay tuned for bitcoin!

Bitcoin Banknote domain and your first release is a digital (then physical) ETH Note?

When Bitcoin? Smiley

Hi Everyone,
Its been a long time. Well, I've been very busy. For one thing, this website now exists:

https://www.bitcoin-banknote.com/

...it showcases a few designs.

I'm here to give people a heads up on some exciting news: the first legitimate collectable series using Central Bank level design has arrived!

The series was originally released as an NFT - digital artwork. The digital versions were quickly snapped up, so there's a lot of demand expected for the physical versions.

A brochure explaining everything can be found here:

Thank you!

Definitely passionate about banknotes.

Soon, I'm going to open up my archives and make some new banknotes available. These are designs that have taken years to make, and have been waiting for the perfect time to see the light of day...

As an experiment, I made a >>dangerously realistic<< £100 note - some of you may have seen it at Coinfest.

Someone convinced me to put the £100 online for people to buy. Begrudgingly, I put them up for sale... and they've almost all gone!
I decided to limit the production to 100 pieces. It was just an experiment. So now I know there's some interest, its inspired me to see what else I can pull out of the vaults that people might enjoy.

Welcome to the collectibles section!   You will find other note collectors here for certain.

I have a few crypto currency notes.  My favorite is my Bitcoin Suisse AG 1 Bitcoin note.  Pretty rare, quite attractive, and has the private key to 1.0 bitcoin under tamper proof seal.

Wow - love the old-school aesthetic!

Thank you everyone for a warm welcome. Nice to meet all of you !

This is an example of what Tom does (If I got the right guy)
We met at CoinFest.

Hi Everyone,

I'm Tom.
I'm a banknote collector, designer & cryptobug. I wanted a place where I could go for information on my favorite niche: collectable banknotes... more specifically, I'm interested in the growing area where cryptocurrency and banknotes meet.

Maybe something like this thread already exists - if so, I'll join that thread and redirect people there.

A little more about me:

1. I was born with a pencil in my hand, drawing. 30 years later I was head-hunted by one of the big 4 banknote printers in the world, to design currency for the world's central banks.

2. For most of my life, I've collected banknotes. My strongest areas are Bank of England, US Banknotes, European, and Commonwealth.

3. For a short period of time, I worked in a collectables auction house in London, in their banknote department. This gave me a lot of insights into collecting trends, and I had direct access to a treasure trove of some of the world's most expensive banknotes, as I helped catalogue everything that was consigned to auction. I appeared here and there in the media, talking up the exciting auctions I had helped to catalogue.

4. I both trade and hodl crypto.

5. I'm a designer and design strategist. As well as banknote-related projects, I also get involved in more 'every day' design activities - branding, logo design, packaging, portraiture, and so on. Basically, I live and breath design in all forms.
