My node client gets stuck at block 3528 and won't start anymore
Code:
Height
3527

just close and reopen until it opens. had this issue yesterday

I'm still stuck. Where can I find the downloaded blocks so I can delete them and see what happens when they get downloaded from the beginning? Can't find them in the roaming folder.

Edit: I guess it is "C:\nxtl\db"

363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency (mandatory upgrade) on: November 12, 2014, 01:49:08 PM
I've been mining using cryptonotepool.org.uk pool.
Now I try to open my wallet.
Seems like the simplewallet.exe just created a new wallet.dat for me. Anyways it asked my password correctly and the address is the same. But how can I access my funds. The monerod.exe just hangs forever and almost freezes my whole computer (v. 0.8.8.3). And the wallet complains that "Error: refresh failed".

Upgrade to latest version 0.8.8.4

It is working now Smiley

If I want to transfer money, what is the mixing_count? How can I paste address into the console window (on windows)?

365  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Leaked document - Bitcoin over Tor Isn't a Good Idea on: October 24, 2014, 05:47:05 PM
Intresting document on Cryptome bout how Bitcoin over Tor Isn't a Good Idea: http://cryptome.org/2014/10/bitcoin-tor-nope.pdf

Bitcoin is a decentralized P2P digital currency
in which coins are generated by a distributed set of miners
and transaction are broadcasted via a peer-to-peer network.
While Bitcoin provides some level of anonymity (or rather
pseudonymity) by encouraging the users to have any number
of random-looking Bitcoin addresses, recent research shows that
this level of anonymity is rather low. This encourages users to
connect to the Bitcoin network through anonymizers like Tor and
motivates development of default Tor functionality for popular
mobile SPV clients. In this paper we show that combining Tor and
Bitcoin creates an attack vector for the deterministic and stealthy
man-in-the-middle attacks. A low-resource attacker can gain full
control of information flows between all users who chose to use
Bitcoin over Tor. In particular the attacker can link together
user’s transactions regardless of pseudonyms used, control which
Bitcoin blocks and transactions are relayed to the user and can
delay or discard user’s transactions and blocks. In collusion with
a powerful miner double-spending attacks become possible and a
totally virtual Bitcoin reality can be created for such set of users.

So what is the problem currently?

How can I install the XC TOR Stick to usb stick so that it is bootable?

you need to make a bootable USB drive with the tor stick Image and then boot your pc from the USB you can then choose if you want to instal the OS in the system or just go in as a trial. if you go in as a trial every time you will need to downoload the whole blockchain of the wallet again.

I would intall it so in a partition or a second HD of your system. The OS in the torstick is LUBUNTU and it will start automatically TOR and the XC app on your Boot each time

I can't get the Wallet or Tor to work.

Tor says: Connection to a relay directory failed (no route to host)

The Qt says: 0 active connections to XC network

Thank you to all the users who sent donations, we have received 10k in Ruble donations the last few days and this paves the way for funding future development.

We would like to ask everyone for suggestions for what features they would like added to Ruble. This will allow us to plan them into our current features we are writing.
DarkCoin seems to be completely open all source.
What things can add to Ruble

DarkCoin doesn't have any features other than anon, so there are plenty of features that can be added.  Besides, DarkCoin's anon isn't the best solution.  Plenty of things can be improved and added. Let's expand our minds a little.

Darkcoin will have instant transactions very soon. Hard to beat that.

Wow, managed to win some coins on the wheel. These games (especially the upcoming black jack) have huge potential.

How can I deposit coins to play the games?
I get the unique address: apex-wheel.com/?unique=OSX...
Am I supposed to put the OSX... address (without URL) into the "Pay to:" field?
Because I am even unable to paste it into the field.

Trust involves a venture; so too—it is widely agreed—does faith. So, if faith is trust, the venture of faith might be presumed to be the type of venture implicated in trust. A venture is an action that places the agent and outcomes of concern to the agent significantly beyond the agent's own control. Trust implies venture. When we trust we commit ourselves to another's control, accepting—and, when necessary, co-operating as ‘patient’—with the decisions of the trustee. Venturing in trust is usually assumed to be essentially risky, making oneself vulnerable to adverse outcomes or betrayal. (Swinburne makes the point this way: ‘To trust someone is to act on the assumption that she will do for you what she knows that you want or need, when the evidence gives some reason for supposing that she may not and where there will be bad consequences if the assumption is false’ (2005, 143). Annette Baier puts it somewhat differently, taking trust to involve ‘accepted vulnerability to another's possible but not expected ill will (or lack of good will) toward one’ (Baier 1986, 234).) Accordingly, it seems sensible to hold that one should trust only with good reason. But if, as is plausible, good reason to trust requires sufficient evidence of the trustee's trustworthiness, reasonable trust appears both to have its venturesomeness diminished and, at the same time, to become more difficult to achieve than we normally suppose. For we often lack adequate—or even, any—evidence of a trustee's trustworthiness in advance of our venture, yet in many such cases we suppose that our trust is entirely reasonable. But, if adequate evidence of trustworthiness is not required for reasonable trust, how is reasonable trust different from ‘blind’ trust?

Why did this get suddenly disabled on bittrex?

Adding something like [JBS] into the forum thread title would be a good idea IMO
