I wanted to buy the blizzard at 1.2mh/s but the company wants you to send money overseas a big no no. if something went wrong you have to go there to straighten it out. so i had to buy a junky one at 1mh/s. overseas banking no no no

A junky one?

yes i mean less hash per dollar

Well, those 1+ MH/s miners are essentially rebranded Zeus miners and will probably achieve the same speeds as the blizzard provided there are no issues

Are you sure they are rebranded Zeus Miners... From what I can tell everything is different maybe except for the ASIC chips...

Also Hashra is much cheaper per MH compare to Zeusminer.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Which ASIC hardware are you backing? on: May 15, 2014, 04:40:09 PM
Hashra all the way, just because the Customer Service they provide... and prices are getting more affordable and inline with other manufacturers.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: 130mhs 150Mhs scrypt miners A2 terminator on: May 15, 2014, 04:38:07 PM
hi all!

link about the factory visit:

http://youtu.be/V4N34DMRf1w

http://youtu.be/waG0AvMDgnA

http://youtu.be/nLLFe7E5w6M

picts of visit http://accesminer.unblog.fr/2014/05/14/visite-de-lusine-des-a2-terminator/

so now it's also possible to have 130Mhs and 150Mhs. also A2 terminator!

Price for this $16600 for 130Mhs for 1050W and $19200 for 1350W

For a builk price or if guys you group your order i can get more cheaper!

If need more proof let me know wich one ,

you know where can find me, contact@yubo-trade.com  or yubo-trade for skype.

So by the time you will receive this miner they would have been pre-mining for a while and difficulty would be up too... not cool
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: $/MHS for Asic Miners is finally coming down on: May 15, 2014, 04:08:59 PM
the Hashra unit is Chinese made

I doesn't matter what country the product is made in if the people running the company are a bunch of scammers.
Now I don't know if Hashra are scammers or not. But there website display a lot of "concept" miners.
That's a warning sign to me. It's really not about US made or not, KNC is from Europe and lately there customer support have gone to shit.

So my point is that if you are looking for ASICs don't blindly pick & chose the miner with the best hashrate/USD. Rather investigate and see if the company is trustworthy or not.

Simon from Hashra has been a Gridseed distributor for a while and I've bought multiple items from him. He decided to have his own miner built because he knew all of the designers and manfacturers in China so he's there right now. Check out their Facebook Page - he posted a video of his new miner yesterday and he's at the manufacturing facility right now monitoring the first batch being built which will ship before the end of the month. Simon is based in London.

he's def not a scammer!

Well, I can definitely say he is not a scammer... I had issue with my Gridseed Blades and Gridseed refused to replaced/repair the blades. Simon was kind enough to offer me replacements...

It is a shame that people whom never dealt with them calling them a Scammer...
7  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: AntMiner S2 1TH/s SOLO MINING on: May 15, 2014, 01:58:29 PM
Ok, I have a 1Th/s S2 Antminer and while I am enjoying its returns currently, I want to enter the lottery and solo mine bitcoins and other coins from time to time.

Q - Has anyone to date, been able to configure this mining machine to solo mine?  I have tried every combination I can think of but to no avail.  I can get it to go live on my local IP connecting to Bitcoin-Qt but it does not hash and the beepers sounds after about 1 minute.

I have even contacted Bitmain but they have not been helpful at all.

Any advice appreciated at this point (APART FROM POOL ADDICTS WHO WILL ADVISE NOT TO SOLO MINE)

Buy a few s-1's .  with your risking taking set of courage (ie balls) it is a good idea   you can get 2 for .92btc  if you have coupons 2 for .82btc

if you undervolt and under clock them to 150gh and 200 watts.   you solo mine with 300gh.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=526060.0

this is the under volt under clock thread.

if you do take this on  and get the s-1s working as solo miners please let us know.

I have 7 s-1's I do not know how to solo mine them.   I would not mind running 1 or 2 as solo miners.

An easy way to solo mine is point them here:

http://bitsolo.net/

You know what I might just point one of my S2 to BitSolo or Solopool - I might get lucky or not... probably not...

Hmm: http://bitsolo.net/pool-stats/

Found Blocks
None. Currently, no one on Bitsolo has found a Bitcoin block ...

The pool is merge mining NMC coins and has currently found 1 NMC block

Yep... I have seen that still... I want to losing anything other than paying for the electricity considering S2 I will be using already paid for :-) Bought 4 x Batch 3 S2 and sold 3 of them on eBay to cover for the 4th miners :-)

Pool or solo mining still contributing towards network... If I get very lucky, my Las Vegas trip will be paid for

Exactly this.

But it is strange, when you know exactly the total cost of your product, when changing the final price, means:

-Cost changes on daily basis
or
-Markup on cost changes purposely on a daily basis

I cannot believe that their cost changes on a daily basis.
I think it is most probable that they decrease their markup daily.

I cannot understand , though,  this strategy.

They are reducing the price gradually... I rather see the price drop slowly overtime...
Considering the price of SP30 - $11,995 was sold $4,995 per unit in RoadStress' awesome group buy... that is a difference of $6,000... Right there is a huge profit margin...

These guys are running a business and not out to do you a favor... So I don't blame both of the companies, if there is a demand people will pay for it... Welcome to capitalism...

Bitmain should take care of the last two posts.

They normally should answer.

Is not acceptable for costumers to take the money and time (so other money) loss for an RMA shipping. And no, coupons don't help in these cases.

Right, there should be some escrow service for all the manufacturers.

We are helpless otherwise.

Well pretty much...

Latest announcement from Hashra
------

LUNAR LANDER SPECS UPDATE, NEW PRICES, NEW VIDEO & PROMO!
Hello Dear Crypotonauts!

It has been a pretty busy week for us and he have some big news to announce.

As you all know by now we are now producing our own hardware and to kick things off we are very shortly shipping out our Lunar Lander ASIC Scrypt miners.

SPECS AND PRICES:
We have been testing the case design this week along with the Apollo Module that powers the miner and have been calculating the perfect balance of power, hash rate and clock speed.
Right now the hash rate for one Apollo Module has been from 12MH up to 17MH.

Despite reaching such highs as 17MH we are reluctant to sell you something at a speed that we have yet to confirm for ourselves is rock solid stable.
Because of this we are revising our quoted hash rate estimates from 15MH+ per Apollo Module to 12MH+.

The Module does in fact sit stable higher than 12MH but as we have always done in the past we promise lower and deliver higher.

Of course because of this we have now revised the prices of our Lunar Lander range to be as competitive as possible.

New Prices are as follows:
APOLLO MODULE - UPGRADE KIT (12MH+): $1750
LUNAR LANDER WARP 1 (12MH+): $1795
LUNAR LANDER WARP 2 (24MH+): $3395
LUNAR LANDER WARP 4 (48MH+): $6350
LUNAR LANDER WARP 6 (72MH+): $9195

LAST FEW "COMING TO THE MOON" PROMOTION:
Ok, as we are in our final week of sales for Batch 1 of our Lunar Lander we decided to give you a discount for the last few that want to come to the moon with us! For next 50 orders we will offer you 10% off your order if you use this coupon code: moonrock

VIDEO:
Here you can see our latest video and even get to witness me (Simon) mumbling about how great the case is. I promise next time I'll work on my presenting skills. : )

I am guessing most people have spent their money on Sp30...
16  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: AntMiner S2 1TH/s Miner Batch 4, Price changes daily, now 2459 USD for 1TH/s on: May 12, 2014, 11:02:52 PM
I have to say Batch 4, definitely an improvement from the other batches... not to mention brand sparkling new PSU suggest it was not pre-mined like the S1s.

I have 4 x Batch 4 S2 running - totalling 3.99 TH/s with 1.3% reject rate... Each miner is pulling 1040W from the wall. Board temperature between 41C - 51C.

So far so good...

17  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: AntMiner S2 1TH/s Miner Batch 4, Price changes daily, now 2529 USD for 1TH/s on: May 09, 2014, 05:16:04 PM
I cannot understand why the reduce the prices every day?

That way, everyone would wait to buy until it gets stabilized.

You will lose minig profits if you wait.. it makes zero sense to wait.  The price isn't dropping fast enough to justify waiting nor should it drop that fast.

The reduction made in 2 days is 2599 - 2529 = $70.

With a single Terra you will not earn $70 in 2 days. You will earn $54 minus the electricity, making it less than $48.

Where am I wrong?

The price the S2 is at is too high - Bitmain is focused on bringing it down to reasonable prices 1 day at a time, just like when they jumped the S1 price down from 0.8BTC to 0.6BTC to catch up to the difficulty trends.

The S2 has 10x the chips and 5.5x the speed of an S1, but still costsa about 11x the price of an S1.   That makes it less appealing as a purchase

There are 640 chips on S2 and 64 on S1...right?

So... if 64 chip S1 = 0.45 BTC (with coupon)... 640 chip S2 should be 4.5 BTC .... Current price of S2 with coupon is 4.695 BTC --- I am sure the additional 0.195 BTC covers the PSU cost.

It only makes sense to purchase multiple S1s if you have access to very cheap electricity in this case 10xS1 at $0.1 kW/h will give you better profit margin then just having 1xS1... Majority of us unfortunately pay anywhere from $0.15 - $0.3 kW/h for this reason S2 makes sense for some people. Obviously there are other issues like having enough room for 10xS1, or the amount of power it is required, heat issues etc...

Only way I can see it making sense is that Bitmain Tech to release a smaller power efficient chip.

But heck I could be wrong.
18  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: AntMiner S2 1TH/s Miner Batch 4, Price changes daily, now 2529 USD for 1TH/s on: May 09, 2014, 12:34:02 PM
I mean, that the reductions they make each day is higher than the profit from mining.

Why should I buy knowing that the reduction is running faster than my ROI?

Do you just complain for the sake of complaining... We get it, you are a SP10 fanboy but stop trolling.
19  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive Bitmain AntMiner S2 Setup [HD] on: May 09, 2014, 11:37:24 AM
This is bit of a stupid question, I want to replace the S2 PSU and I am thinking of getting "EVGA SuperNOVA G2 1300W"

http://www.evga.com/articles/00755/images/univ/1k_Mod_Face_lrg.jpg

My stupid question is would I be using the VGA ports and using the provided cable marked VGA (https://www.moddiy.com/product_images/uploaded_images/dual-6-2.jpg). Just want to be 100% sure before I plug anything.

Thanks
20  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain S2 vs Spondoolies SP10 on: May 08, 2014, 04:29:43 PM
My only worry is summer time... at 30C ambient temperature I believe SP10 will perform better compare to S2 (please correct me if I am wrong please correct me)

Can you imagine if all of these companies delivered on time, we would be having a discussion about SP10 vs S2 vs Neptune vs TerraMiner IV vs CoinCraft Rig etc but sad thing is there are only less than handful companies deliver quality miners on time.
