661  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: My altcoins are down... by a lot on: November 29, 2018, 11:59:26 PM
I think that most investors are currently experiencing hard times due to the general fall in the cryptocurrency market. But I would not buy coins now.

As you said. Most of ICO have problems now, and of course their investors also. The problem is that we still don't know when will come price stabilization, so decision about waiting with buiyng coins is very good. First we have to be sure that bear market is finish.
662  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Open your eyes! on: November 29, 2018, 11:40:51 PM
Don't you feel like once the bitcoin price goes up, the main holders will be the banks and large financial institutions?

It is very likely that it is through banks, investment funds and other whales that the price is now falling so that they can buy coins at low prices. The problem is that nobody known what "low price" is ...  Roll Eyes
It is good, that now Bitcoin is more popular, so comes more whales. This will probably mean that the next bubble will be much larger than the previous one.
663  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did Bitcoin actually died ? Yes, more than 320 times already on: November 29, 2018, 11:04:54 PM
And this is the truth that has happened a great number of times:

https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-dies-for-the-300th-time-trading-at-7300

I am surprised that people are so surprised that the price has dropped by 80%. Just look at the historical charts to see that it has happened several times and I am sure that it will happen many times more ...  Cool
664  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH to 80$ on: November 29, 2018, 09:25:37 PM
ethereum prices will not fall as cheaply as that, I'm sure there will be good news at the end of this year and will make ethereum prices very expensive, so be patient waiting for prices to rise again.

Unfortunately, it all depends on what happens to the price of Bitcoin. If what we see now is only temporary increases in prices, then in December we can enjoy small increases, but moments later we can see ETH even for $50. Nothing will surprise me in cryptoworld.
665  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it Game Over for Bitcoin? on: November 29, 2018, 07:46:02 PM
Those who were smart enough to buy Bitcoin in the last days are truly happy now  Smiley
Never say Game Over for Bitcoin
However, it's not late guys. Buy Bitcoins Now and enjoy Xmas like this Smiley

I completely don't understand why you are so happy ..? At this point the BTC chart on Coinmarketcap is red. Probably it was only a temporary increase in price, and it is not the end of price drops.
I hope you are right, but in my opinion it is still too early to talk about long-term increases in cryptocurrency prices.
666  Economy / Economics / Re: Blockchain technology in election polls on: November 29, 2018, 05:19:37 PM
I see that a few examples have already been mentioned, I will give the most recent:

https://www.ccn.com/south-korea-to-test-blockchain-based-voting-prior-to-integration-with-online-voting/

I think this is a great example of how blockchain can be used for important purposes. Whenever someone asks me about its use, this is my favorite example - voting!
667  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is Satoshi Nakamoto? on: November 29, 2018, 04:32:41 PM

I don't think that there are people who know this for sure, he is the founder of the most popular coin - btc but there are so many versions who is he and what country he is from that i don't know whom to believe.

There is many theories about that who it is. Unfortunately, I'm afraid we'll never know who it really is. Revealing now would be too dangerous for him. Many governments are quite angry at him and it would probably end with arrest and many problems.
668  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: My Ether Wallet on: November 26, 2018, 12:30:01 AM
I do not quite understand what value an old ETH address can have..?
I heard once that it was possible to get a small amount of some other coin from the old BTC addresses, but now I don't remember which one it was.. maybe here is similar situation.  Roll Eyes
What is the value of an address that is only affected by airdrop dust? Maybe it is possible that it has some collector value?  Roll Eyes
669  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Ethreum bounce back ? on: November 26, 2018, 12:09:19 AM
Unfortunately, the ETH price is still dependent on the BTC price. On the historical charts (and on the % calculations) we can see that the price of ETH fell much more than the BTC price. At the moment when the bear market ends and the trend changes, we can expect that the price of ETH will start to grow much faster than the BTC price. So if someone is considering buying and thinking about these two currencies (BTC, ETH), I would give most of the investment to ETH. Ethereum, in my opinion, has greater growth potential.
670  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How do you find good ICOs? on: November 25, 2018, 10:33:54 PM
A good team, the vision and the twitter/telegram activity is in my opinion a good indicator for a good ico. Have a look at https://evoai.network or their bitcointalk-thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5054554.0, then u will see, what I mean  Grin

A good dev team is the basis, but I can not agree that social media activity is in the second position. The second most important thing is whitepaper and accuracy in the roadmap. Of course, any calculations related to it and the problem that solves this project.Activity in social media can be bought by hiring bounty managers and supporters, so this activity can be made in not exactly real way. It is also very important whether the idea of project brings something new to the society. It is quite huge puzzle to complete before we can say that project is worth of investment.
671  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: we are going to - NEW PUMPS. on: November 25, 2018, 09:56:10 PM
i think now is good period for investitions.  in crypto and in ICO, becouse when market will start grows, all ICO and coin will grow, 1/2 X minimum. and now is best period for buy cryptos with ETH, becouse now price is near 100$, and when some ICO will finish after 2-3 month, and them want 10000 ETH for soft cap, and this 10 000 ETH will grow in price, you will got guaranted bennefits in your token.

#changemymind

The same opinion as you had many people two -thre weeks ago and earlier. Everyone who bought it at that time lost almost half of their investment. The cryptocurrency market is in a moment of panic, so it is impossible to predict how it will behave. Your investment decision is comparable to black / red betting in roulette. You'd better think again ...
672  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to survive on: November 25, 2018, 09:43:08 PM
Best is to go offline and focus on any offline business for the meantime till the market pick. This to avoid frustration and more loss through holding

For this reason, everyone explain to new users to invest only small amounts. Because in extreme moments - as we can watch right now - for someone without experience it is very easy to lose control over emotions and get in to panic. On such an extremely risky market as cryptocurrencies it is equal to lose everything.
673  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Bleeding Again on: November 25, 2018, 05:18:36 PM
In my opinion, it is the confusion of the whole community that allows even small (relatively) capital to manipulate the market. Only when people understand that it is only fear that directs their decisions, they will start to re-believe in potential of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. I am sure that this trend will change very soon.
674  Economy / Economics / Re: China is Back to BTC Business on: November 25, 2018, 04:03:52 PM
It looks like a very good news, the Chinese are certainly already preparing for the investment ... and certainly not just them.
But is the BTC mining still profitable at the current price there? In other words, is anyone able to count whether the costs of electricity do not exceed the profitability of mining in China?
675  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcon tulip bubble bears unite here! (CluckCoins are a joke) on: November 25, 2018, 03:32:21 PM
I'm not sure if what you wrote is just a trolling, or really your knowledge is so little..  Roll Eyes
Adoption Bitcoin is constantly moving forward and developing, every day new websites and ground-based points accept BTC as a form of payment. Bitcoin is still far from the mainstream, but we know very well that the adoption process is always very long.
When it comes to the last price drops, you should know that Bitcoin has already "died" at least a dozen times. So this is not the first, and not the last time when we will see similar situations.
Replacing of fiat currency probably will never happen - on financial market is enough place for fiat and for digital money.

Take it easy Wink bull run sooner or later will come Wink
676  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: It's a period of accumulation... Not a period of FUD on: November 25, 2018, 02:41:03 PM
Those who sold a few months ago now want the price to go down as low as possible to buy back the previously sold coins as cheaply as possible. So they are spreading FUD, because it will help them earn more in the future.
Those who do not want to risk, that they will not be able to do shopping right after the end of the bear market, they start to accumulate.

So i will say that it is priod of accumulation and period of FUD.
677  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: High fees on some exchange! on: October 25, 2018, 01:25:46 AM
Fees are still fine for me, though I tend to consolidate all my funds into one or two withdrawals twice a month or so from the exchanges I use to minimize fees. Like adaseb said, exchanges raised their fees during the transaction count hike a few months back and didn't put fees back down for whatever reason, though if you only withdraw in medium-sized sums, fees should be under control.

The coinmarketcap top exchanges list doesn't list the respective fees of each exchange, and it's pretty well known which exchanges are most popular.

It all depends on what amounts of coins you are traiding. With big amounts you don't feel that, but with little trades it hurts. For people that are starting adventure with cryptocurrency this fees are really not so low. But in my opinion it all depends on bitcoin price and on fees form miners - that they take for keeping network. Everything will change when Lightning Network will be implemented.. Wink

Awards for participating in the bounty campaign are calculated until December 27.
