61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How I lost my coin. on: July 04, 2018, 11:46:55 AM
I have lost Hugh amount of bitcoin, and I believe some person's here too have gone through same. Can we please share our experience and lessons.

My story :My wallet was hacked, by God knows who. That was 2017 may. I logged in to my blockchain wallet to notice that 0.9  btc I have been accumulating Since 2016 has been taken. Leaving less than $5 worth of bitcoin for me.

My lesson :  don't trust anyone with your crypto, laptop or password. Because I believe someone close to me did that.

I would also recommend not to open suspicious pages and yes donít ever give your password anyone. When it comes to money, even friends can betray you.
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Where do you find your news? on: July 02, 2018, 05:19:29 PM
What websites (besides this forum) or other sources do you use to get news about your coins?
I read on bitcointalk but have the feeling that I miss a lot of interesting news about the coins I own (currently BTC, OMG, ADX, SUB, KMD, ARK, BLOCK, ETH) and would like to stay more 'in the news'.

Thanks in advance for your reply!

I like medium portal just to be tuned into crypto world. They have a lot of interesting articles, which I would like to read. I even have an email subscription and I always know about latest hot articles.
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Quit your job to promote bounty campaigns fulltime: unrealistic???? on: July 02, 2018, 05:15:23 PM
Last night I had a discussion with a friend if it's possible to quit your job and make a fulltime living of promoting bounty campaigns.
My friend thought you need to promote a lot of bounties at the same time (100 per week), to compensate for the
uncertain number of bounties that will never to lead to any income (coin cannot get listed, withdrawal fees of exchange is too high, scam, etc.).

So the question is: do you agree with this statement?

For me it is not the best option of work. Now I just have some free time thatís why I can spend it on bounty, but I am not sure if I would like to do it full time day by day.
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are bounty managers to be blamed? on: July 02, 2018, 05:09:05 PM
It is not easy for Bounty managers  to predict scam. It is better to talk to Bounty manager ad make a solution by which you can contact team of ICO , if it is scam then take help of bounty manager and raise voice against ICO team.

Yea, it doesnít mean bounty manager knew about scam. I remember one ICO, which was going okey and then manager made an announcement that he has some predictions it could be scam and then he was sure it was. So he really saved our time and I was very thankful to him. So there is no need for manager to hide the truth.
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should i buy ethereum with all of my money ? on: July 02, 2018, 04:43:09 PM
Investing ALL your money is always a stupid idea. Every coin can fall down, you can loose everything and you need some money to live on. But if someone is doubting whether to invest in ETH or not. Definitely yes, this is a promising coin and it can bring you money in future.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is altcoin is too riscky to invest now ? on: June 28, 2018, 11:30:51 AM
Everyone who purchase the altcoin at higher price are crying now ,Is altcoin become too much risky ?

If this is a good coin, then it is worth investing.  For example, you can invest in EOS and in a year to get a good profit.

Investing is always risky, I was sure everyone has known it. Donít invest too much money if you have some hesitations. Find good coins, which will give you some profit in future and hold till the time you will be ready to sell.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your plans with your Crypto Currency? on: June 28, 2018, 11:26:44 AM
I just wanted to  know what are your plans on your cryptocurrency in the future?

Do you plan to keep on investing?
Do you plan to exchange your crypto in fiat and leave crypto?

Yes, I will keep investing as long as I can afford it without damage for my finances. But I only invest in really promising projects, if I donít find any I will rather skip it. Some coins I will exchange for example from some bounty projects and so on.
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Uneducated people join Cryptocurrency? on: June 28, 2018, 11:22:46 AM
Everyone starts somewhere. Whether people lack technical knowledge, or whether they lack trading knowledge, or even whether they lack the knowledge of English that allows that to express themselves clearly on these boards.
What is a problem is if they come into this space and don't make an effort to learn or adapt.

Also... if you want the market to keep growing then where do you think that money's going to come from? IT nerds make plenty of money but even that is finite  Wink So if you want to see the value of your coins grow then I think you should be a lot more open and welcoming to newer investors. Just consider yourself lucky that you have the upper hand of more technical knowledge + an early start.

Yea, we should separate those who are newcomers and really want to learn something and those, who just spam here and make scam. But anyway, as it was already said we must be polite to everyone and even help newbies because we were the same at the very beginning.
69  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FUCK! The Bitcoin is dead again. This time for sure. on: June 28, 2018, 10:52:21 AM
Large groups of well paid, organized, funded professionals with clear objectives and good management - (like R3, hyperledger, ethereum, others) are sure making those Core programmers look like the silly little whiny bitches that they are.  Core is going NOWHERE and getting there pretty damn fast.  Meanwhile, very sophisticated advance is being done every day in other part of crypto/blockchain.

This is 100% the end of bitcoin as we know it.  Good thing too.  This 'open source', 'no leadership', 'no organization' thing was always a load of bullshit.

Nothing has changed. In 2016 people were in panic, the same goes with 2017\18. It makes me laugh. And the most interesting thing is that Bitcoin is not only alive, but still in top and number one. Just a nice picture that rumors are just rumors.
70  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto VS national currency on: June 27, 2018, 01:47:47 PM
It sounds nice and crypto has huge advantages against fiat money. But usually we use crypto in virtual world. We order something in the internet, transfer money, because we donít want to loose our money, pay too high transfer fee, we want to make our money safe. But when we are talking about buying a glass of coffee, you pay with cash because it is the easiest way and I am sure it wonít change in near future. Crypto is about something huge and important, we wont use it buying candies in the shop.
71  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is bitcoin lead cryptocurrency market forever? on: June 27, 2018, 01:35:35 PM
Bitcoin is the leading coin of the market. What you think about the future of bitcoin and others coin?
Bitcoin may comtinue to show dominance in the crypto market for the coming years but with the word forever I doubt it can sustain its position as the number one crypto coin. as many other coins who show competitiveness and anytime can burst and replace  bitcoins spot.

We can never be absolutely sure, but for recent years we can see BTC is still number one. I may suppose ETH can change its position or some new promising coins will rise up. New generation, more fast etc. It is something we all want.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Starbucks is accepting Crypto! on: June 26, 2018, 11:32:11 AM
Wow, sound like a really good news. I think a lot of people would be pleased. Hope, it will work good without any problems and cancelling transactions. This is just another step forward to success and universal accepting of crypto. Every time when I hear such news it is a hint for me to work harder in crypto world.
73  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: NEW! Bitcoin Smartphone Coming Soon on: June 25, 2018, 12:48:14 PM
I wouldnít buy it. I have my phone with everything I need and I donít want one more phone to take with me.  And I am skeptic whether it can be so good as Samsung or Iphone. From one hand It sounds nice, but once more, I wouldnít buy it even if it will be cheap.
74  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How foolish are people who invest in Bitcoin? on: June 25, 2018, 12:42:39 PM
I like this greedy, angry opinions so much. Shocked People just come here, in place where a lot of BTC fans are and start complaining. You just want some attention, arenít you? If BTC is not for you, just skip this topic and everything what is connected with BTC. No one is going to over-persuade you. Just waste of time.
75  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why do we complain when the market is down? on: June 25, 2018, 12:33:57 PM
Ever since bitcoin price started dropping, most of the threads i see here are : is bitcoin dying?, will bitcoin go green again?, should i hold or sell? etc. I laugh when i see such threads. Every business has a window of opportunity when the market is ripe to enter. This is the time to invest more in bitcoin. Every good investor see every dip as an opportunity to buy more bitcoin and hold. The weak ones see dips and they start to shiver; selling all their bitcoins, even including their altcoins. Please community members, the way we are handling this drop in bitcoin will scare new members from even investing in the coin which will cause a further decrease in the price and the unexpected might happen. Let's have a healthy discussion about our coin even in hard times, and it will attract more people to invest and eventually pump the price again. Friends what do you also think?

To be honest, I havenít companied even once. I donít see any point in this jus waste of my time. And now more and more people are interested in crypto, so for smart ones dropping is not a reason to be out. May be even an opportunity to invest, while price is low.
76  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Robbery on: June 21, 2018, 12:55:41 PM
Police in Dubai have arrested ten members of a gang who reportedly stole 7 mln AED ($1.9 mln) in an armed Bitcoin heist in Dubai on Wednesday.

If it is true there are two things to talk about. Whether the police is working really hard and has professionals on the board or these hackers were quite dumb because they are arrested now. Anyway, it is a good news, if it true.
77  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens if we die? on: June 21, 2018, 12:51:47 PM
Nope, this is no existential question (although...). Everybody's talking about "When will Bitcoin die", but what if you die, and your family don't find your key, or don't understand it, or think it's only a useless sheet of paper with some code on it, or simply throw it away... Does this mean the currency's gone forever?

I find the possibility of this event rather realistic (yup I don't believe in eternal life), so that means that someday there might be 21M BTC but only 18M (and counting down...) is left in the market?

Coins will be on your wallet forever if you wouldnít teach someone before your death how to use wallet/ And donít forget to leave the key and then rest in peace. Grin
78  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Panic sellers, please head for the exit (and don't come back) on: June 21, 2018, 12:48:14 PM
Dear Panic Sellers,

If the news about Google Ads and Facebook, as well as bubble-bursting warnings from "respectable" institutions such as universities, economists, banks, opinion makers, investors and governments have convinced you to sell your coins,

If you let yourself be influenced by the messages and actions from these corporations and governments,

You have not understood a single thing about Satoshi's libertarian dream of decentralization and liberty and cannot cope with the responsibility that comes with these liberties. You were only hoping for some quick profit to sell for fiat... Now that you're losing dollars, you are crying all the way... well... to the bank.

I hope you got out completely and never will return, because I am convinced you are as big a threat to Satoshi's dream as the corporations and law-makers that convinced you to panic sell.

PS: To my fellow believers: HODL.  Smiley

Yes, I get tired of all this panic about FB, Google and so on. To much talks about it without no need. Because mostly people know it is not the eng of the world. So better be silent or go away.
79  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can we make sure that our money we invest in Bitcoin is safe? on: June 21, 2018, 10:51:41 AM
As long as your wallet is safe enough, i do not understand why you should be worried about it, because it only depends on the wallet in where you are holding the bitcoins

Totally agree, you wallet must be safe and your computer too. So donít forget to download nice antivirus and choose reliable wallet. And just be a wise user, donít upload any suspicious pages or links.
80  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if someone forgot the key to their bitcoin wallet ? on: June 21, 2018, 10:10:40 AM
What are the measures to keep your private key safe and in memory ? Are there any alternatives to retrieve the key back ?

I would recommend old method, just keep it in printed or rewrited by hand version. Because if you loose your key, there is no way to take it back.
