Were they talking about the node the coin or node.js the programming language? I have talked to a few other devs about the node.js the programming language and they think it will be great for a crypto.
The coding language, for some reason a lot of people don't think node.js is a good language for crypto coin. No one explains why, just that it's not good.

I'm going to give you guys the side of my story:
I stepped up when I noticed that node was losing ground. I really did like the idea behind node and what it could bring to crypto scene.
A lot of community members wanted to start a reward program, at the time I had some extra money to spend so I decided to use it towards node. There was a lot of "we should" but not a lot of "let's do it", so I said to myself "let's do it."
When the BTER scandal happened, I was the one to contact Alcurex and convince the dev to list node. No other exchanges were willing to do it, but I did receive some info from one of the active participants on Poloniex that node's node.js coding was not good for a crypto coin (no other explanation, just that node.js was a bad idea).
Silkk did pay me at one point 150k node for helping out, but after that any questions I had were just basically the same thing he answers with on this thread.
Then the questions of what happened to the rest of the team, NodeClub's way of talking even seemed like he was a payed hype man to get everyone on board but I thought to myself "maybe he's just really excited about the project."
Fast forward a few months, koop4u shows up with his MLM style scheme and here we are today.

Your communication is one of the worst I've seen and the community is dead at this point because of it
There is still no real technical document that explains how POA is supposed to work (don't link that pdf that explains POA in a POW context) or how instant transactions are achieved (first you said fully connected network, next there was talk about a neural network).
Litereally everything you've done so far was half-assing every step of the way (releasing software that wasn't ready, releasing a "whitepaper" that's not worth the name and really didn't explain anything, using an algo that wasn't ready, then deactivating it because of it, coming back with some investment/trading scheme). Sorry to say this so bluntly but it needs to be said.
And now you come to tease the few people that still watch this thread with a reward that isn't even worth reading your post for ?
How about I give you 25,000 NODEs if you guys show us even the least bit of progress ?
Well said. Some of us tried and some are still trying to help. The devs lack of participation slowed down the momentum of this coin. Maybe they never intended for node to be a real thing, oh well.

No wonder NEM is da deadeds, this thread right now is just Punky whining about having to spend $5000 to do his SuperNodeMajigger and then Mr. Portland offering some kind of weird ponzi chyieeet... Probably time to sell the XEM and buy back when it hit 60 satoshi... TaunSew, thanks for the summary. Its weird, I kind of appreciate your posts sometimes. The only way I can describe it is like this.. you know when you're taking a shit and you need something to read while you're pushing a log out, you don't really care what it is but its better to have something there in front of you. Your mind kind of goes into an auto pilot kind of state, its quite pleasant. TaunSew is quite knowledgeable about crypto. When he's not out trying to lower a price with FUD, he actually has some good comments to make. He has his method down that's for sure.

How about instead of "Silver NEM Coins" (I sure could care less for this), just redistribute the unclaimed stakes amongst the original stakeholder list.
Problem solved.

it seems like he just come here to collect his salary Silk find someone else for the job.If you need an example then see how patmast3r work for NEM, you will see him always there answering questions. None of them have stepped up to answer everyone's concern, it looks more and more like node was just to line their pockets. Oh well, so what's new in crypto world?

The price is really low. 40 satoshis. koop4u's post was worse than never coming back. That would be my guess. If his intention was to drive the price down then it was a success. Maybe P&D in the future? The price, if anything, is high. Fast transaction speeds isn't marketable by itself. The only thing marketable about NODE is when they finally complete NODEbank / NODEpay and the amount of USD and EUR displayed on the NODE address is 100% backed / fungible by a bank in Ukraine (or somewhere in Europe). Especially when that is completed and it is marketed to people in Europe, NODE could very well be a Ripple or even BTC killer. If they can pull it off then it means they're billionaires. Blockchain integration of real fungible currencies could be the game changer, in my opinion. The two problems are here: we are skeptical about whether they can actually partner with an Ukrainian bank and second: we were supposed to get this in February 2015 but it has been delayed to September. Nothing is really happening, in cryptocurrency, in the meantime but 6 months is an extremely long time for most people and only the most dedicated people (like those who us who have stuck around since February 2014) will hold out and it may not even happen if they can't find a bank to work with. Otherwise once the coding is done, and you're partnered with a bank, then people will be motivated to help market it and we can take it pretty far. The NODE bank / NODEpay concept I feel is stronger than anything NEM, NXT or any alternate is offering and few people can actually do it. The only places in the world where it's probably legal is Eastern Europe and Central America but I'ld think Eastern Europe is a better choice due to the proximity to a potentially large user base (VK / Telegram and a lot of the Germans and Dutch who are interested in cryptocurrency). Question: What incentive do banks have to partner up with a crypto coin from some corner in the world when they already have systems such as swift or they can just fund their own cryptography/programming experts? edit: Just to clarify, this is aimed at all alt-coins, not just node. I just don't see the logic behind all these coins thinking they can partner up with multi-billion dollar institutions.

Maybe P&D in the future? A lot of people kind of figured out what is going on, the team forgot that there is a lot of smart individuals posting on bitcointalk. Bitcointalk is not like being outside of a store's parking lot trying to sell watered down perfume or trying to convince them to buy into timeshares.

The new wallet doesn't even connect any peers and it shows I have a zero balance. Fix?
Follow the instructions.... To participate in our public testing phase join the shadowtesting channel on slack. You will be given more instructions on how to connect to testnet once on the channel. How about pointing out where the instructions are?

My wallet stops syncing at block # 419887. I have been trying to have it sync for 2 days.
Try going to help, then debug window, then type command "rewindchain 1000" and press enter, and it will rewind the chain back 1000 blocks, hopefully past the troubled block, and fix the issue. This worked for me in the past on a similar issue. I think it happens if you get on a forked chain on your client. Also you can try deleting peers.dat as you may be connecting to a bad node. this worked, thanks. the rewind blockchain, this is a great feature

Nostecin was a Scam from the beginning.
Are you saying that the code Node take from the ceiling and you have not received your coins. I always do what I write about and NodePay no exception. @ Update Reporthttps://nodepay.com/ (test version) 1) Ability to connect online stores for receiving Node 2) Direct transferred on the seller's purse 3) Callbak notification function 4) API requests 5) SSL security 6) Google Authenticator 7) Support module The first part of the made to integrate the website, no one even tested this functionality. I am sure you too He has a point there, dev made it seem like NODE was way ahead than it really is. He shouldn't have said NodePay was being launched, all we got is a simple website template.
So basically dev has nothing but a few algorithm changes to the wallet, and even the wallet needs huge improvements.
I apologize to anyone that might have been misled by my attempt at helping with marketing, I didn't know how far behind all of this was and that we are not even close to what we were led to believe.
I see that you are the same thing did not even try to test Website NodePay, before saying that this template. Earlier you said something quite different Good job on NodePay, is more than I expected.
Could you post more details about the plan and what is going on?
I'm curious, will NODE have its own debit/credit card type system with NodePay?
I don't want to offend anyone , really, the project is progressing slowly as we wanted. But a lot of bureaucratic processes occupies our time. What we planned integration of the EUR and USD at the White Paper contradicts the legislation. I am grateful that you have made awards to users. But I can't give You any results because I just haven't got until we complete the legal part before the end The problem is you're not being more open with the information. You are being very secretive and now you are trying to turn around my words, I am human and I am allowed to change my opinion as new information arises, critical and realize where I am wrong. If you can prove you are actually working on what you say you are, then I will retract what I said but so far you have not given any real information. Just speculation and that is not good enough because a lot of people are putting real money into this project. All everyone is asking is for openness about what is going on, nothing else. I don't think that's hard, you have yet to answer why the original team disbanded also. edit: I will stop being critical of the project. It would be good if there was more transparency since this would build confidence for NODE, if you want to answer go ahead but I am tired and I have better things to do than do this.

You are unlucky. Exocoin, Nodecoin, tell me what else you invest for me to get out.
Not really, I made my money back plus extra on top. Just not millions, but I haven't lost yet. The scams I lost BTC in were not much and the profit I made off other deals more than made up for it.

This is too much "rumor". A lot of people thought NODEpay was further ahead than question of legality (which should had been in 2014). What was the point of NODEpay.com so soon if NODEpay will not be fully functional until September or later?
It's fine - a lot of us are patient but I'ld be embarrassed to try to advertise this to others or buy anymore of it. I'ld consider telling CryingMidget to postpone his campaign until NODEplay is fleshed out and PoA is fully working. Maybe that won't be until September 2015 but even Bitcoin took two years before it started going somewhere.

The biggest bank in Greece will adopt some obscure cryptocurrency? This seems more like fake information to pump a dead coin.
"But we tend to" = speculation, they won't return your phone calls or emails. No point in mentioning any of these hypothetical or speculations or desires until you got results to deliver. Don't pump and dump. Don't turn NODE into scam.
Many of you did not notice that Node will be divided into two parts, one part of the banking system, the second Cryptocurrency - these two parts will have its legal purpose. And also that the legal part is based on Ukrainian by legislation, and the banks are selected on the territory of Ukraine By about Greek bank, it has no relation to the state of the Greek economy, and is a leader in our country and other countries, read more carefully Wiki We are risen and job entry for other banks in the other jurisdiction, at this stage we are preparing documents to send. Very many are waiting for an instant solution, I wrote earlier that the process will take about a year. Everyone decides for himself to stay with Node or not. Seems to be a year of work has been done all that was promised to the community How Cryptocurrency Node, will be further developed on the test network, we will be releasing more regular updates. i would like to take part in testing also what has changed in new version? Now this revised version, updated many modules, configured POA algorithm. On the basis of this version already will be released new updates. Needs thorough testing A lot of devs have promised the same things just to bail out once they couldn't squeeze any more BTC, I know because I have been there and BTC has been stolen from me. Please show tangible evidence of the work that has been done and paperwork filed for such requests to banks/municipalities. And also where is the rest of the team? You have yet to answer those questions with the correct information. edit: I will stop being critical of the project, if you want to answer go ahead but I am tired and I have better things to do than do this.

Post the actual contracts and applications sent to the bank and how this is going to work out. The software is ok, where's the paper work though? Contracts not yet concluded, and will be made before the end of summer At this stage the reformatting of code from the old system which we wrote and split the Node into 2 parts. In legal terms we decide which Bank to work with. But we tend to https://www.piraeusbank.com/sites/ukraine/ru/Pages/default.aspx (wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piraeus_Bank) but this is still under consideration. We also viewed the option of working with the system http://moneypolo.com/. The legal part is we have a lot of time and hinders technological process. We want to make the right decision that would then not be altered. We also study the principles of Western monetary systems, Leader, Contact Still not a lot of patience and everything will get more information The biggest bank in Greece will adopt some obscure cryptocurrency? This seems more like fake information to pump a dead coin. "But we tend to" = speculation, they won't return your phone calls or emails. No point in mentioning any of these hypothetical or speculations or desires until you got results to deliver. Don't pump and dump. Don't turn NODE into scam. I agree with you here, not to mention that Greece's economy is not doing good at all. This makes no sense.
