There are still over 11 Mh/s pointed at KMC.  That's a continuing investment of 40 USD per day in energy and opportunity cost.  There may not be much chatter here, but the hash speaks plenty.  We will pump when inflation is declining.  Now is the collecting phase, if we pump now the difficulty will rise and we won't collect as many coins.  We're just getting started.

Search the 365coin thread for "mingopool", TONS of complaints.   He stole 0.38 365 from me.  On the day I discovered it that amount was worth USD$352 !  Other complaints of him using miners credentials on other pools and changing the payout address.  Stupid to reuse credentials, but still NOT COOL! It's amazing the pool ops can screw over the community and continue operating under the same name.

From his site: "We recompiled the cpu and gpu miners with a few fixes for our stratum. They will improve your hashrate 5% ~ 30% depending your hardware."  How much do want to bet that if you run his binary next to your wallet that your coins will mysteriously go missing. 

Really don't get this memory thing.  I have eight rigs, each with four cards, all running (linux) with 1GB.  Vertminer never uses over 250mb, including caches.  Adding unused ram isn't going to do anything.

It's a good point.  Better to be a big fish in a small pond and be a little bit rich.  Pretty sure when I make my first trillion I'll know I'm rich.

Yeah, based on his posts in the Italian thread, it seems that the larger orders didn't ship.

Hey guys, I just got a PM from forgetme.  He had a good explanation of some personal issues that will demand his attention for a couple weeks.  If his story is true, and I have no reason to believe otherwise, then it's really not his fault that he's been gone.  He asked me to "Just tell that i've contacted you to manage the thread for a bit."  Whatever that means.  He also said that the store orders have already shipped, but if anyone wants a KMC refund, to just ask me, but that we would need to wait for the package to be returned to sender.

Honestly, I don't know what to think.  I want to believe that this guy is a committed dev--and the story does seem to add up.  At this point I think we'll have to wait and see if anyone actually gets their shipments, so please post here if you do.  I'm going to keep mining and buying up KMC from the weak at Comkort.  I think we all realize it's a bit of a gamble, but this has been a really fun coin and I'm certain that together we can make it work for the long-term.

Furthermore, based on his response I do get the feeling that he would turn over the github repo and control of the project if he were unable to maintain it long-term.

Unfortunately I don't know much about Windows.  I would suggest running linux in a VM, you could use virtualbox which is free.  You wouldn't need much RAM as there's no need to install a full desktop.  A minimal Debian or Ubuntu install would work well.  Though I suppose if you aren't familiar with Linux it could add a considerable amount of learning and time to the process.  Let me know if I can offer any non-windows specific help.

Thanks for mining at my pool.  I'm thrilled that you want to set up your own node, then we'll have a proper p2pool.  Are you having trouble compiling kimocoind?  The p2pool script doesn't require compilation and those are the only two parts that you need.  I could give you my compiled one, but I'm on Debian and the compiled wallets are picky about libraries, so I find it's usually best to compile on the target system.
