Hi guys, I will try this again when i get home. I think my biggest issue is i don't know how to work around command prompts or terminal in Mac and windows... I have always used windows and am used to the simplified versions. i.e selecting the folders in the preferences...
I will try and work this config file option tonight.. I know where all my bits and pieces are i just don't seem to be able to get Amory to point to them correctly...
Stand by for an update....

Hi guys, thanks for the help, I think i have come to the conclusion that this is all a little beyond me. I have tried for hours on end to get this thing to work with no luck.... I can't for the life of me figure what i am missing but it seems the mac does complicate things somewhat. Although i have also tried on it 2 other windows platforms with no joy... Anyway thanks again for the attempt at helping the helpless  |

Hi guys, I have installed bitcoin core and Armory on my Mac, Bitcoin and Armory both open, I cannot however point Armory to my external hard drives which is where all my data is stored, they simply are not an option to pick form the drop down boxes when trying to select "Bitcoin Home Directory" & "Armory Database Dir" in my preferences...
Can anyone tell me how i achieve this... I can see the external drives everywhere else on the computer....

Version of Bitcoin Core is 0.18.0
All my bitcore Core files are in E:\Bitcoin\Bitcoin core

Upon more testing i can open the offline version but not the test or online versions

I've done that, now i can't get Amory to open at all it just sits on the startup screen with the logo and at the top says loading 100% but hangs there...

Hi, and sorry i know this has been asked a thousand times but I am not really that computer savy, i think i have set up Amory and Bitcoin Core correctly but for some reason i cannot get Amory to get past preparing databases... I have been mucking around for a few days now trying to get the databases to read from the correct area as they are on my second hdd... I have the following log files that i'm hoping someone can look at and point me in the right direction to get this resolved... I'm sure I've stuffed up something simple....
