Dear Bitcointalk community First thing first: we apologize to you for leaving you with very little communication during these past 4 months. Yet we thank you for your support during that time, and your faith in the DTube project. We owe you some explanations
Launching 1st Round of DTC sale finally gave us an understanding of how big the demand for the DTC would be. We quickly noticed that the current fundraising situation would never give us the financial means we needed to achieve our ambitious goals in the whitepaper. Why?
IEOs require heavy "security deposits" that we can not afford with current Round 1 funds. Our STEEM income from the 2M SP delegation has been going downhill, and we are unsure what the new delegation committee wants, and whether we can actually rely on this income. Programmatic DTC dumping on markets was never an option for funding our company and hiring staff, since this model had already been tried without success by SteemIt Inc. Obviously after more than two years of work on this project, it was a hit to realize that we had to tune down our ambitions by a lot. We took advantage of this period to re-think our long term strategy on how to make Dtube scalable and sustainable with limited resources. After all, Dtube's end goal was never about making money and giving people jobs, but about building a libre alternative to YouTube that would resist censorship and stand the test of time. Mainnet Launch Adjustments Given new circumstances, DTC's mainnet is scheduled on the 10th of May 2020.Round 1 will be our first and last funding round for DTCs original supply, for reasons mentioned above. The DTube Coin initial supply will be 4 millions DTC instead of the original 100 millions. Effectively, DTC will be 25 times more scarce than what originally planned. Initial supply ratios we announced in the whitepaper will remain the same: - 50% to the community through an airdrop (unlock mechanisms will be explained in the next blog post): 2M DTC - 25% to Round 1 investors: 1M DTC - 25% to Team and collaborators (core team, github contributors, curation team, translators, etc): 1M DTC If less than 1M DTC are sold in the token sale on 10th May, the remaining tokens will go to the @dtube account and will be sold on the d.tube website at markets prices after the mainnet launch. What should our users expect and what we will be working on until the launch of the mainnet ?
Implementing different upload methods (BTFS, WebTorrent). We need more people to start self-hosting videos and the upload page will finally start reflecting that Polishing the sign-up process and more instructional information in the UI to make Dtube more user-friendly and easier to get started with Coding and testing the airdrop mechanisms Preparing for centralized exchanges listings Creating DTC-pegged tokens for decentralized exchanges such as Steem-Engine More documentation to experienced users willing to run a DTC node More documentation for new users coming from outside the crypto-sphere A new improved homepage What will happen after Launch ? No matter the financial situation, we still want to make Dtube a fully complete scalable product which can thrive in a decentralized way (i.e. without corporate funding). Round 1 funding and our STEEM stake will be used principally to keep our infrastructure running for the years to come. All other expenses will be put on hold. Development will continue at the same pace than before, with major patches coming in once every few months, introducing important features that already exist on popular video platforms. I've never heard of it, but judging from reviews below it's something worthy of attention. i mean, blockchain youtube, it's awesome, isn't it?

I believe that until the cryptocurrency is approved by all states around the world. No one will need these services where you can earn money, since there will be too few users and accordingly the earnings will be small, now you have a youtube and nobody needs anything else!
Well that is your opinion and we respect it. A few remarks though: 1. every product started with a few thousands of users (even Youtube, as surprising as it may be). Rome wasn't built in a day. 2. a lot of users care about privacy and no ads, which is our key focus at DTube 3. We are not forcing people to abandon their general stream (if any - and statistics aren't great about average Youtuber revenue by the way), but adding another stream in a matter of seconds 4. If nobody would need it, there wouldn't be such a row both from viewers and creators about demonetization, lack of trust in algorithms, too much ad pressure. Yet, DTube is only 2 years old and in an early stage, you are 100% right. Regards, The DTube team |

Though top 10 coins are profitable, but we should bear in mind that we can not more profitable from them, because maximum trader or investor invests these coins. So we should more research for more profit. Now I suggest few coins such as Binance coin, Dogecoin, Huobi token, waves, Nexo, Mb8 coin, Dent, Ark etc. That's a fair point. Now do your research well over video streaming platform (80% total Internet traffic) based on open-source blockchain and hopefully you may consider DTube. Dear doesntmatter, Of course not. Why ? Because token already bear a utilitarian value since DTube has been a live project for 2 years now. We are not in mainnet until end of Q4, but this doesn't mean you can't use the token to promote content, vote or tag people. Before, only Steemians, users from Steem could create a DTube account. From now on, it's open to everyone. Yet, you can still use DTube without being logged in if you wish, or wait for mainnet to create an account. For the past 2 years, we focussed more on building up a great product rather than communicating over it. Some would have done the opposite, and build an ERC-20 token to raise funds asap and see how to use them. That's not the way DTube team works. Is DTube_Official legit?

I actually want to try the same thing like that, but because of the time that may be quite a bit to fulfill how our performance to reap the results by playing my friend's video in a way to earn this $$$. Thanks thesosorr bringing this article too. Technically though, main concerns should have disappeared since June 2019. Let me explain why: - DTube USED to work on STEEM blockchain, where monetization windows allow for 7 days only. - DTube USED to work only on IPFS, and video were not running after 3 months usually Since June 2019, there have been major changes for DTube DTube runs on DTube Blockchain, Avalon. We have enabled the possibility to upload a video from a URL, and extended time for IPFS video to run. What does this implies ? 1. Token distribution isn't based on 7 days anymore. If you're content is great, it will receive rewards with no time limit 2. You video will still be able to charge after 3 months, if you uploaded them through IPFS and url. The DTube team I don't think this will have a success like all the other video monetization sharing sites in the internet, they have a very bad implementation I have a steem account and automatically registered here using my Steem keys information. Fans to shoot and upload your video may be worth a try this service. Will professionals who earn on their video but on more popular sites go to DTube? Perhaps they need to compare the possible rewards.

Adding major altcoins will boost the portfolio in the bull run, the other top 500 altcoins will also add value if the Bitcoin dominance falls under 50%. The reality is different but it teaches us the same valuable lessons in every bull run. The top coins I prefer are the BNB, LTC, XRP, XMR, XLM. For researching the whitepaper and team experience is required, not everyone has a such willingness to spend time for checking the profit rate of the investing. ICOs are not the priority for the small investors and new IEOs took the market share. Fraud is unavoidable in the online businesses and blockchain technology is not bulletproof.
You're completely right. One important things when considering portfolio is what are you objectives, and what do you value? They can only be personal. For instance - Do I want to back-up protocols, or blockchain that have end users? - Will I pick-up only live projects with already achievements, or ERC-20 based projects? - How risk-adverse am I? - Do I focus only on making a profit, or do I want to back-up very early stage projects that matched my values? DTube for instance target people that want to earn utility token and are fed up with lack of privacy and demonetization. For that purpose, we intend to give fun to our users when voting, posting or uploading a video. We will attract people who share our values, and value the fact project has already been live for 2 years, as opposed to a lot of hit-and-run ICOs. So yes, building a portfolio says a lot about what you are. I would add Steem to that list. For me the most valuable cryptocurrencies are those that people use to do things. Steem is one of the most widely used blockchains with the Steemit blogging platform being the most popular use case. But they are also used to run other popular platforms like Dtube (a blockchain version of Youtube), Magic Dice (Gambling) and DrugWars (Game).
Thanks for mentioning DTube. We have come a long way since May 2019, together with Steem but also building up our own blockchain (DTube Blockchain, Avalon). Yet, it's the beginning for decentralized applications such as DTube. In a nutshell 1. I am also in steemit.com but to be honest I don't understand how they share the tips. I will even post articles and have over one hundred vote but yet the tip given to me is less than 10 cent. At times I will see people having less than hundred vote but they are given up to $4 and this marvel me some times but no one to complain to.
I has to do with the distribution system and the stake. All votes aren't the same in terms of rewards. People can decide to "weight" their vote, depending on how much influence they have and how much they want to give. Being on Steem, have you already claimed your DTube account (video streaming platform based on Steem DTube Chain? Distribution rules are a bit different. The only way your post is going to get noticed and upvoted on steemit is if you have met the following criteria: • You have bought a significant amount of STEEM • You have invested that STEEM into "STEEMPOWER" and locked it up for 2 years • The more steempower you own, the more people will see and upvote your posts. A better place to tell your story is right here on bitcointalk. Why? Because whether you are rich or poor, if you have a halfway decent SUBJECT line, you are guaranteed to find readers. I personally have ONE bitcoin in savings right now, and I would rather hold it than invest in ANYTHING - steemit or ether or anything else. Bitcoin is the ONLY currency that has debit card and merchant support. The rest are all speculative bubbles. Also, note that there are already over 9000 social networks. Vegeta would be furious! We don't need any more... I myself am working on a different kind of social network. It will be the opposite of ALL current existing social networks. 2 sites, both under massive construction, www.d3fc.me (the dividend awarding democracy) and www.freedomnetwork.me (the network for the people) will work in tandem together. Once I am up and running, each user will get visitors to their profile daily, and no amount of money will increase or decrease the # of visitors they get to their profile each day - ALL users will receive an equal distribution of traffic to their sales pitch or whatever they have on their member profile. BOTH of my sites will be bigger than steemit in 5 years or less. and BOTH will always play and pay in BITCOIN (unless something tragic happens to bitcoin that is.)
