PIII motherboards would only support AGP graphics cards as far as I know.

It would obviously vary, depending on whether or not we were using gold-plated monster cables, Samantha =)
Of course! I always use the highest quality gold plated $200 HDMI cables.  Wink
4  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Is anyone running their Mining Rigs in an Oil Tank? on: June 22, 2011, 10:09:19 AM
Can you buy kits/cases for setting up an oil tank PC ?

If so, then can you tell where, especially if there are any vendors in the UK ?

Just use an aquarium tank if you want it to look pretty. Otherwise a plastic storage container will do.

How many FPS could we get if we used the Bitcoin network to run Crysis?  Cool
6  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Is anyone running their Mining Rigs in an Oil Tank? on: June 22, 2011, 08:18:36 AM
nope, but I thought about it, but came to the result that it is just to messy if you have to exchange a part of the computer.
Adding capacity wouldn't be a problem. Just drop in another rig.
7  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: How is this address possible? on: June 22, 2011, 08:16:13 AM
So does someone actually own the 1BitcoinEaterAddressDontSendf59kuE address?

If so, how hard is it to make your own address like that?  Huh

I am sure nobody owns that address, but people have generated simpler vanity addresses.

See http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=1387.0
Thanks. I was thinking the encryption was broken for a second.  Cheesy

I see. I wonder how people will adapt to accepting .002 as something valuable when we are currently used to paying 1.00 or 100.00 for something.
I agree with the idea of breaking the coin down, but will the common folk accept .000025 for a t-shirt one day.

You need only change the interface to read in a smaller unit.
10  Bitcoin / Mining / Is anyone running their Mining Rigs in an Oil Tank? on: June 22, 2011, 07:33:50 AM
Some people are having problems with dust, noise and heat with their mining rigs. Running your rigs in a tank of mineral oil would eliminate all three of these problems. You could even cool the oil with a radiator if you wanted to run it hot.

Is anyone doing this already?
