testing whether or not censorship is evident.
Of course censorship is evident, this is a privately run forum.
I knew that the moment I signed up years ago.
Didn't you too?

I meant censorship in the form of suppressing anti-bitcoin views. As a Bitcoin forum staff must stay neutral in this respect. Other topics is a different story.

Well this a bitcoin forum, so a neutral stance is never going to happen is it. Maybe this isn't the place for you.
You are certainty free to start your own anti-bitcoin forum, but of course naturally that won't be neutral either.

antibitcointalk.org is available

who wants to buy the domain and hosting? ill do the rest

7  Other / Meta / Re: Petition to unban dank on: December 22, 2014, 09:24:25 AM
dank should be allowed to post here. he didnt do anything wrong and doesnt afraid of anything.
Apart from his fear of reality.

Again, watch what people do, not what they say.

Thats a real phobia? fear of reality.

Interesting saying by the way.

Never roll your own crypto no matter how convenient.

Wait a minute, I support fully what OP is doing here.  He seems to be taking an opportunity to dig into the technology and learn about it.  Rolling your own __ is the best way to learn about __, imo.  Of course, if you're new, you need to be careful, but that's what OP seems to be doing.

I wish I was savvy enough to comment on the particulars of this method/library, but alas...

For learning, yes, but it's easy to introduce a bug into crypto take a look at what happened to blockchain.info. So you shouldn't use stuff you wrote yourself for important purposes unless it's been analyzed and tested by millions of people.

Tables are looking pretty empty, anyone wanna join me?
15  Other / Meta / Re: Full time trash posters on: December 22, 2014, 09:03:04 AM
Just report posts or users if you think they're making shitposts, but merely making a lot of posts isn't a valid reason unless they're half-assed and unconstructive.

I somewhat suspect that some of the shit posters are using some kind of script/bot to post, although I do not have any evidence (it is just a conspiracy theory). I think people do this in order to get their post count (and rank) up, probably as part of an account farm.

It's unlikely or very rare that people currently on sig deals are using bots or when they do they usually get caught pretty fast. We do occasionally get hit by waves of newbie spam bots that I can only assume are trying to build up their accounts for whatever reason but most of the bots recently are just from scammers, trolls and fudsters like Marinecoin and falling etc.

Ok I will report them from now on. Hopefully it will stop them.

Uh, I think you missed the part just about about how certain types of criticism belong in certain fora.  Ie, this is meta, and a critizism of "bitcoin as ponzi" isn't a comment on the forum software, so it's in the wrong forum.

It is related to the topic of this thread which is censorship. I was testing whether or not censorship is evident. Now we wait for the results.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to Find Identity of Satoshi on: December 22, 2014, 08:58:11 AM
I figured out who he is. It wasn't that hard.

At least give us a hint: Has he or she been known to don facial hair?

One of his eyes is way bigger than the other. He always wears a kilt and is married to a pornstar. It wasn't hard to find him he's a pretty unique guy.
18  Other / Meta / Re: Full time trash posters on: December 22, 2014, 08:56:46 AM

20  Other / Off-topic / Re: Amazon Coin. Just had to laugh when I saw this. on: December 22, 2014, 08:51:01 AM
We should relicence Bitcoin and sue them for copyright infringement.
