poolwafle : do i need to tweak my expiry setting to avoid stales ?
do they mean any kind of loss when if they are accepted ?

on another topic

with all the extra server capacity : what u think about seting up a scrypt-n based "altpool" on a different port ?
or the current sever already capable to handle scrypt-n ?
is there actually ANY scrypt-n based multipool around ?
could it be a possible direction for WP to evolve , or pool mining those would simply destroy that market ?
or its just way to early to work on or even to think about the implementation ?

yeah i suck at english but i think u might get my point

is it actually normal ? Shocked

also 3-4 % rejects on eu , last 20+ hours wu is 90% + still tho
Looks like you have expiry set too low.  Try scan-time 4 and expiry 8.

No more listings of blocks solved?
Hm, looks like Worker stats replaced individual block finder stats.

@PoolWaffle:  can we get blocks found back on the personal stats page?

with the exact same settings i had <0.5% rejects until 2-3 days ago

Hash Rate: 0.00 kH/s
but my miner still works

same here.

If you were connected to the EU server, we just switched to our new servers.  You may have seen a minute or two of downtime.  Can you confirm that everything is back to working correctly? (assuming you guys were on EU, if not, please let me know)

still getting disconnects from eu pool.

ed1 _restarted miner 3 times in 30 minutes , now restarted rig aswell just to be sure.

ed2_ by 19:33 gmt seems to work fine

Perhaps slightly off topic, but just wanted to check if anyone's come across this...

My main PC (this one I'm reading this forum from) uses Windows 7 SP1, and cgminer 3.7.2 with CGWatcher.  It all works fine, but recently I switched to using Chrome (having used Firefox before), and have now noticed that whenever I maximise (or have it open in a window - not maximised) Chrome, my hash-rate drops significantly.  Normally, it's at around 745 Kh/s, and with Chrome on top, it drops to about 680-700.  Minimise Chrome (or shut it down) and the hash rate goes straight back up, nearly instantly.  It's repeatable, and it's definitely Chrome affecting the hash rate.  I haven't noticed this with Firefox, but the reason I switched to Chrome was my tabs-fetish was getting out of hand (I was using groups in Firefox, and had something like 40-50 tabs open per group and about 5-6 groups, yes, I know, insane  Roll Eyes).  So now I'm trying a tab-diet, and have only about 20 tabs open in Chrome, but it's doing this weird thing.

Has anyone come across anything like this, anyone here specifically uses Chrome and CGWatcher/cgminer, and can perhaps do a quick test?

Weirdly, I googled this, and found a couple of threads on other forums where people were experiencing THE EXACT OPPOSITE issue, in that their hashing rate INCREASED when they had Chrome open, and would drop with it minimised or closed.

 Huh

P.S.  Waffle, you rock. Smiley

If your intensity is high you will see a drop doing anything, If you want to use it while mining drop the intensity.

Or you can use the integrated graphics. I use my work computer that way with 2 amd cards mining on I18 and my system is still snappy. I put a dummy plug to one of the AMD cards because you can't control the cards without it (only stock clocks and fan speed). On win8 it is more of an issue. Win8 won't load the driver if you don't have a monitor (or dummy plug) plugged in.

or u can use an amd based system , and it loads all its drivers w/o dummyplug + u can even use the IGP for mining , not like thats really worth it  Grin

u can see the earnings , just be aware that had some unexchanged piled up on MC when i started mining with Waffle

what helped me with rejects and WU was
--queue 5
--scan-time 1
--expiry 1
--gpu-threads 1 (with 500 or lower khs i strongly suggest this last one)
--I 18 ( ofc its faster with 19 or 20 but  MORE rejects)

495 khs with each cards

MC   GF: 1     A:600064   R:9216 (last 22 hours) WU:467.5/m
WP   GF: 205  A:1347584  R:2048 (last 48 hours) WU:470.9/m

( i didnt had this many GF since i started a few days ago , still its nothing to realy worry about as i see)

payoutwise MC is not even close to what u expect based on the front page stats
WP brings what it shows .

and yes a few weeks ago i was happy with MC but i prefer WP now as it is a lot more user friendly  ( full respect for that !! )

I like Wafflepool but despite all that bashing on MiddleCoin, could anyone explain these number to me?

Does anyone have any accurate measurements? No different days, no 4-minute switching but just identical rigs mining different pools for say a week?

-xJx-

I actually mining on both since 27th of feb 18 GMT
http://www.middlecoin.com/reports/159gu6Gme6PsRK6Y4v243dR4N7xYKJ4skX.html
http://wafflepool.com/miner/159gu6Gme6PsRK6Y4v243dR4N7xYKJ4skX#
with the same address on the same pc with two identical cards (amd 6970 - 490-500khs/each)
159gu6Gme6PsRK6Y4v243dR4N7xYKJ4skX on eu servers  0.5-0.1 % rejects
feel free to check the stats
