21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Lightning Network - Thoughts? on: June 09, 2020, 01:54:59 PM
Who is hating Lightning Network? when we can save a lot of transaction fees although it has some limitations. But it could really help in a way, specially if we go on another parabolic run choking the network.

So if you wanted to pay someone, you can take advantage of LN, open a channel so that the other party can issue the payment without adding congestion to the network, p2p, off-chain transaction.
As mentioned the only issue with me is the limitations and trusting a random channel expecting that i could trust them. We are seeing the adoption for a while but for a major adoption we need to have a friendly interface and i expect electrum or similar companies to come up with Lightning Network integration that could help anyone to start a channel easily.

Right now the bitcoin transaction are congested and it is taking several hours to get a confirmation. I hope majority of the exchanges starts accepting LN to avoid the delay.

[..snip..]

That's awesome news, wasn't aware of that. Definitely good news whenever I see the Lightning Network intergrated in blockchain projects, wallets etc.

Electrum devs have been working since last year, and this is very much anticipated event specially if they can release and go live this year.

Regarding trust, well we can also say that to exchanges and wallets that we used. Can we trust a fully DEX exchange like Binance or Coinbase? Another good news is that Kraken, one of the biggest exchanges out there, has plans to roll out LN as well.

https://twitter.com/pierre_rochard/status/1265835635862093824

It will be huge for crypto community if this plan push through as well. And I'm sure other crypto exchanges doesn't want to be left behind and this will be the new norm in the future.

That's pretty dope man. I know Bitfinex also plans to support LN payments, if they don't already.

The Binance "DEX" is not decentralized, I hope you're aware of that by now, otherwise now you know. Truly decentralized exchanges doesn't need to be "trusted", since they are trustless.

I'm pretty excited for the release of the Stakenet Lightning DEX, I'm sure it will be a huge success. Been beta testing it for awhile, and it looks like it's ready for public release within a week or 2 max..

Yeah, it's going to be big if they can roll it out this year, and for sure many DEX will follow on their path and implement LN itself. Binance DEX? I agree they are not that decentralised, they just put it up to attract traders, but a wise and intelligent traders knows what they are doing from behind.

Will keep an eye on the Stakenet Lightning DEX and do hope that it will be a huge success. It is very different concept (LN + MN), for sure everyone is excited about this one.

It's indeed a very interesting approach they've going on here, and from the tests I've seen on the DEX itself, I can safely say that it's going to be a game changer.

Anyone will be able to trade freely, instantly, and with very low fees, between all their favourite coins and tokens, doesn't get any more convienent than that!
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Stakenet - Next short term 10x - Here's why. on: June 09, 2020, 01:52:05 PM
Usually small coins that their only advantage is "high income with PoS mining" are only pump and dump...
Lightning Network didn't prove itself as a game changer until now... too much hype in my opinion.

Where are you seeing "too much hype"? The Lightning Network is constantly being worked on, and the Stakenet team being in the lead on dApp developments on top of this tech is pretty damn cool. Nobody uses the Lightning Network because it's for NERDS, Stakenet makes the Lightning Network easily accessible for anyone.

If you like DEFI, Stakenet is probably of your interest.

23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Stakenet's Lightning DEX In Action Arbitraging Straight From Binance! on: June 09, 2020, 01:48:12 PM
ARB is a pretty good trading method and it only requires us to work hard to find exchanges with low prices. Stakenet does have users selling coins at a low price but the volume is very small. After clicking on the link and watching the video, I found that only a few people traded in very small quantities. Once bought, we can only buy from 4 - 6 $ and absolutely no available sell orders. So trading ARB is quite difficult when using stakenet. The team should promote marketing to gain more users and increase the volume of exchange.

The video shown only show cases a BETA. The DEX itself is not even out yet, and the DEX Aggregation implementation will pull order books from other DEX's inside the Stakenet DEX, which will make sure there is LOADS of liquidity Wink
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Blocknet's DEX and Xrouter. Might Peak Next Bull Run. $100 Blocknet Speculation. on: June 09, 2020, 01:40:46 PM
Blocknet can potentially reach $600+ why? Well...

Here's a scenario:

ETH charges gas per tx on the chain, giving it utility. ETH gas price right now is around $0.12 and there are about 900,000 tx's/day which brings us to $108,000/day paid in gas. Now let's toss in ICO buy pressure which raised $371M in 2019 (and let's assume it's all on ETH)... that's $1M/day, bringing total pressure to $1.11M/day on ETH. As a result (among other obvious things that don't need to be explained for the sake of the example) ETH is currently at a $22B market cap

Now let's conservatively talk Blocknet usage throwing in some fun numbers. Infura sees about 15 Billion calls per day. Checking out their pricing this comes to about $3.75M/day. Let's say we're able to do only 5% of that, that's $187,500. Now let's say the DX will do only $25M/day at 0.15% (not official, just using as an example), that's $37,500. Combine the 2 and that brings us to $225,000/day or about 20% the "pressure" of ETH (and $563/day income per Service Node assuming there's 400 running.). If you slash ETH's current cap by 20% you get $4.4B... which is $647/BLOCK

But to achieve ETH utility, you need all of those apps/dapps that need executions to create that demand for gas,,, therefore the utility and therefore why ETH is so popular. It is not just about ONE app with a lot of us but a LOT of apps with growing demand and use. Which is why ETH is successful and not really Cryptokitties (which dies after a while).

I believe most people are unaware of the centralized data being broadcasting on the Ethereum network.
To put it simply, they want to build their own Infura solution, Infura is used by Ethereum today, to broadcast transactions on the network.
The easiest way to view Infura is a centralized data source
And so many of the biggest names rely on this source, whether it's many of these ETH DX's or Ledger/etc - Blocknet have the infrastructure to decentralize the data source, meaning you could be asking for an ETH transaction from "service node 1", or "Service node 2"or "Service node 3"  etc (Service nodes being the masternodes).

If 1 goes down there will still be access to another one... the other benefit to the end user is they can verify truthfulness based on decentralized consensus
meaning if you call 10 snodes and 9 of the 10 give the same result... the chances are those 9 are correct and the 1 is incorrect

Thanks for your input. This team is really working on a lot of useful needed tech, yet still go unnoticed most of the time. Once they land partnerships with bigger corporations, I'm sure people will pay attention to the project again, haha.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The next 10x altcoins ?..... on: June 09, 2020, 01:35:47 PM
WRX, ONE, BTT, Matic .. these are projects I'm investing in. Its price is currently very cheap and may increase several times during the next bull run. Also these are projects run IEO at Binance, which means these projects are very good and suitable for long-term investment.

True, but there are hidden gems out there, with INSANE upside potential, which I guess most people are missing out on. One of them is Blocknet - Blocknet works on decentralized infrasctrucue, everything they work on is decentralized.

Pretty cool thing they are working on is a decentralized "infura" solution. All ETH dApps (tokens) relies on Infura to proccess data back and forth on the network. Blocknet is building their own version, but decentralized. It's pretty cool.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The best time to buy is NOW!!!! on: June 05, 2020, 09:18:00 AM
Bitcoin
Ethereum
Neo
Cardano
Chainlink

And very few other altcoins are very bullish lately, hope the altcoins you choose are on this list? Don't pick altcoins just because the market feels bullish, crypto market is still unpredictable, anything can still happen, know what you tend to keep

Great picks, I'd leave out NEO though, don't believe it will rebounce, but who knows lol.

I'm personally picking up some XSN as well, since they solve a huge problem in the crypto world. They are trying to enhance BTC, rather than trying to replace it, which is pretty damn cool. The Lightning Network is what makes BTC scale ultimately, and Stakenet aims to build dApps on Lightning.

Here's a quick overview of their upcoming Lightning DEX, which makes instant trading possible.

is the team  of  x9 the same   of  XSN?

The X9 team founded the Stakenet Project.

XSN's solution is capable of effectively solving the Lightning Network's current liquidity problems

Here's the MNs running a DEX that natively executes instant BTC/LTC swaps!  Grin
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wSNFhFBKmsc

Imagine when USDT (Tether) implements Lightning to their chain. You'll be able to tether up in seconds whenever you see a massive BTC pump. As this will be available as a phone app, you'll be able to tether up while on the go. Absolutely mind blown!!

can't  this  already be  done  now  without  XSN? ''theterng up in seconds''

Sure it can, but ONLY on centralized exchanges such as Binance, Coinbase, Bittrex etc.

This is a decentralized way to tether up. BIG difference.

XSN's solution is capable of effectively solving the Lightning Network's current liquidity problems

How?  With Masternodes?  But they are  centralized..  masternodes make  the coin centralized

Masternodes is NOT centralized, as they are hosted by different people all over the world. You don't get a more decentralized setup than this, as if one node goes down, another one takes over in seconds.

Here's the MNs running a DEX that natively executes instant BTC/LTC swaps!  Grin
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wSNFhFBKmsc

I'd love to see actual trading bots executing orders on the DEX itself. Since we'll have a DEX aggregator combining DEX order books from other DEX's (such as Komodo), liquidity will be of no problem if you want to do some arbitrage. Pretty exciting to see how it plays out

As  far  I understand... only  orders  from decentralized exanges  can be taped into XSN... this  thing can not  compete with the  liquidity provided  by centralized  exanges

You can arbitrage trade from the DEX straight to Binance. Meaning you can buy from the DEX, and sell on Biannce for a profit in mere seconds.

Centralized exchanges will be beaten, just a matter of time.

Bitcoin transaction is congested because of the drop of the hashing power due to the block halving. That's why we need to check for the fee estimator like https://jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#2h. But I'm sure it will normalised though.

Here is a thread as well, Some exchanges accepting Lightning Network.

Electrum developer have confirmed that they are building Electrum supported LN payment that will be included in the next release. https://twitter.com/ElectrumWallet/status/1183706431473815552

30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Big money moving in next year, means greater demand for DEX projects? on: May 31, 2020, 06:37:53 PM
Big money is already here! Wall Street already own more BTC then Satoshi!
https://newsblockchain.io/news/grayscales-continuous-growth-hitting-38-billion-usd

This is only the beginning. We need venture capital firms, and millionaires to enter the scene, which will make the whole market boom yet again. Once we break $20k alt's will likely surge once more.

There is no definite movement about this, I am waiting but it seems to be ignored and come back when there is big news. At present, they only have fake volumes that are moving for popularity.

DEX's are being worked on constantly, and they get better and better. The growth of these DEX's (in volume) has grown into the millions already.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: DEX's with MILLIONS in volume, COULD make you stinking rich, here's why. on: May 31, 2020, 06:32:57 PM
Decentralized exchanges are non profitable exchanges so users trade between themselves without any third party like service provider so you are not going to pay any fees but do you think which could make you a millionaire?

And many newbies shilling for Blocknet recently. Roll Eyes

Some DEX's runs on a layer of masternodes to enhance decentralization, which benefits all parties. The node owner can make thousands of dollars monthly with a enough volume. Coinbase, Binance etc takes a LOT of fees, in this case the fees are shared among way more people, investors actually, which is pretty smart.

I don't particularly like DEX exchanges, they are capitalist and annoying. They ask for a lot of costs to make sales, deposits, cancel orders and make withdrawals. This costs me a lot.  Angry

Which DEX's have you tried? Because typically DEX's has lower fees than CEX's as far as I know.

True, and while these numbers seem unreal it's definitely not impossible to reach. Blocknet will create the infrastructure for developers to make use of their oracle network, which can be accessed at any time as soon as it's live. Currently XMR, and NEO is being integrated. Wink This means that you can make extremely flexible dApps gathering blockchain info from multiple chains at once if that's what you wanted to do, even communicate with real life applications through SPV calls.

Blocknet will be extremely flexible, dApps will run smoother, AND cheaper.

You forgot:

Binance wont list their competitors

Here's the full story behind Blocknet trying to get listed on Binance, but was ignored and even questioned about how their DEX works (before Binance launched their own  Roll Eyes)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JSCAelH_iuk

Binance is a decent exchange, but it's leader CZ is a crook, who cares about NOTHING but money and power. He's creating centralized networks, which is completely against what we want, yet people follow him like sheeps.

Binance only made their (fake) DEX because they KNOW competition from DEX's will be tough in the future.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you trade if you won't leave your coins on exchange on: May 21, 2020, 04:08:10 PM
We are told several times on this forum never to leave your coins on exchange, well I know the difference about low rated exchanges and high rated exchanges and I know that many traders prefer high rated exchanges for trading because of volume and Liquidity but my point is there is no way to be a trader without your coins sleeping in exchange wallets, why? Because sometimes while you are asleep bitcoin can hit a new price target.

For example BTC is trading at 8000$ and I put up a sell order at 9000$, most times this won't happen in an instant, sometimes you wake up the next day and your order became successful isn't it? Now for those saying 'don't leave your coins on exchanges' how do you trade?

The answer is VERY simple. Make use of a DEX like the Blocknet DX platform.

You don't need to transfer your coins anywhere, you're in complete control of your own private keys at all times. You can make both buy orders and sell orders without risking your security.

It's THIS easy, yet the vast majority of people refuse to even try it.  Cheesy
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Which trading platforms do you use? on: May 21, 2020, 04:04:41 PM
Former user of Binance, but after the recent scandals with CZ I refuse to ever enter their site let alone Coinmarketcap again. Call me a hypocrite all you want, but what CZ and Justin Sun did to the Steem community is outrageous.

I refuse to submit KYC as well, as I actually care about my privacy enough not to do so. Which left me with some dodgy exchanges. Through research I stumbled across DEX's to be my solution, and have recently made a few profitable trades on the Blocknet DX Platform., which I can recommend, as it's 100% trustless.

IDEX was a good one as well, until they enforced KYC, which meant they never where a real DEX to begin with, sadly. There are just way too many fake DEX's these days, including Binance's which isn't even remotely decentralized  Roll Eyes
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ALTCOIN to the MOON on: May 21, 2020, 03:55:45 PM
There are tons of promising altcoins out there, including tons of useless ones. Whenever you choose an alt to invest in, you need to do your due research on it first. Investing blindly can be real damaging to your portfolio.

Look at market trends, what's hot?

Here's a hint: Decentralization - DEFI, DEX's dApps, Smart Contract solutions..

This is the very reason why I'm choosing to diversify some of my BTC into Blocknet, as this is one of the few projects that has it's legs in all areas mentioned above.
First project to launch a DEX, from which you can profit passively on if you run a node and collect trading fees.
Building their own Infura solution, and oracle network, which can handle billions of requests/day.
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Any new promising Masternode coins? on: May 21, 2020, 03:40:56 PM
Blocknet is one of the most promising ones I know off due to the fact that their masternode network is actually put to use. Most masternodes prooduce NOTHING for the project itself - That's not the case with Blocknet's vision.

Masternodes controls their DEX, and take the trading fees whenever someone trades on their platform. These nodes will also benefit from their upcoming oracle network (XRouter), including their XBridge and XCloud tech.

Do your own research, the yearly ROI from these nodes, and anyone staking is about 16% which is pretty decent for a project of this age.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Big money moving in next year, means greater demand for DEX projects? on: May 21, 2020, 03:37:17 PM
we are already in Q2 2020, and no Big Money has yet arrived,
and no DEX project has gone up to All Time High, maybe not this year, still seeing  Smiley

The altcoin run has only just started, slowly but steadily will BTC lose it's dominance, trust me. The market moves in cycles.

DEX's will be used by millions of people in the future, why else do you think Binance made their own (fake) DEX? They are afraid of the competition. It's that simple.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Blocknet's DEX and Xrouter. Might Peak Next Bull Run. $100 Blocknet Speculation. on: May 21, 2020, 01:14:58 AM
Blocknet is definitely being under estimated at this point, and I completely understand why.

1) Low volume
2) Old project (most people are looking for brand new projects)
3) Hardly anyone understands the tech

What most people don't realise though, is that Blocknet's soon to be released Litewallet will make it WAY easier and more convenient to trade on their DEX. Their XRouter is being worked on as well. NEO has been implemented, and XMR is currently being worked on as well. Eventually you'll be able to access blockchain data from multiple chains as you feel like, which is really damn powerful. We've got so many blockchains, yet they can't communicate.

Through SPV calls, Blocknet will also be able to connect to real world applications - With a marketcap of $10 mio. the upside on this one is truly massive. Time will prove me wrong or right, but I'm sure Blocknet will be a good performing project as soon as they start doing partnerships with other blockchains and real world organisations.  Smiley
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: DEX's with MILLIONS in volume, COULD make you stinking rich, here's why. on: May 16, 2020, 05:32:20 AM
Some Dex requires you to import your wallet keys to send coins and tokens, for example idex, you are still giving away your details this way, the last time I used idex exchange I created a fresh wallet address on the exchange and send my coins into the exchange wallet address.
Definitely, right. That is why we should be careful when accessing their site and it should be the legit one.

For many times that I've using DEX exchanges, I've never been experiencing being hack. Maybe I was lucky but I think because I was not careless enough to access my wallet, sending keys using another computer. And it much safer if we don't keep our money in any exchanger for a very long time.

A real TRUE decentralized DEX wont ask you to "import your wallet keys". A true DEX is simply a dApp that you use to transact with while being in complete control of your own private keys. Never liked IDEX.

Try the Blocknet DEX, and you'll see how easy it is to trade. It's one of the only true DEX's out there with no centralized points of failure.
