241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee gives speech at the Barcelona Blockchain Week 2019 on: November 13, 2019, 07:14:33 PM
Simply too optimistic speech in my opinion, as you said his prediction is too bullish and the way he talk about avoiding tax as if it is nothing and the government will be fine by letting you avoiding taxes I mean i just cant imagine it will be that easy.
Yes, the wealthy people are always trying to find a hole within the taxing system however there is reason why they still pay taxes until now and one of them is to live peacefully not being treated as a criminal. You just dont outright believe what this man is saying.

Remember the Panama leakage? If you haven't heard of it, it was basically confidential papers belonging to celebs/football players/NBA Players etc. etc.. BILLIONS of dollars stored illegally in tax havens to avoid paying taxes.
Crypto makes it SO much easier for these guys to access their money! No longer do they need to fly down to these Islands to manange  their money, they can send MILLIONS of dollars through DEX's without anyone knowing.

You need to look at the bigger picture here man
242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you choose DEX? How to avoid scam? on: November 12, 2019, 07:57:38 PM
Big fan of the Blocknet DEX here.

Below is some of the most popular DEX's compared to Blocknet's DEX. You could argue that Blocknet lacks in volume though, which is totally true, but we need more volume on all DEX's for them to be worth trading on IMHO.

Made me chuckle a bit haha, it is true though that no mattet how best the DEX is the problem still remain they are lacking the volume to work properly as an exchange which should provide liquidation even not only Blocknet’s DEX but many of DEX aswell even Binance DEX which is far behind compared toits conventional exchange. I’d just use the most reliable dex since long wgo which is Etherdelta but only ERC20 token and the rest of coin I will use Binance DEX although it is not a true DEX but atleast it is safe alright.

You can "chuckle" all you want. It's true that most DEX's right now lacks liquidity and volume, but I think you're forgetting, that we're in a huge bear market still. Once the bull run returns, and a HUUUGE number of people returns, there is no doubt in my mind, that we will see a LOT of people using these DEX's. Especially those who wants to stay anonymous, and want to hide their trading histories from the tax man.

If DEX's had enough volume and liquididy already, Blocknet and a few other DEX projects would already be evaluated at 10x - 100x their current marketcap, hence why it's interesting to speculate on the price NOW, where these DEX's aint that popular yet.

Same logic as saying "Naah, man.. Binance is a SHIT exchange, Cryptopia and Yobit has better volume, so not buying this crap token BNB at $0,10" Wink
243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Making money through DEX fee's. The next big thing? on: November 12, 2019, 07:17:03 PM
the problem is that these DEXes that we see today aren't really "decentralized exchanges" in my opinion.

a decentralized exchange in its true form must not contain any kind of middle man whatsoever which means there is absolutely  NO FEES  involved when using a "true DEX". the exchange will only be between two parties through a secure channel using cryptography, hashed locktime smart contracts similar to what bitcoin has and the only fee is the transaction (aka network) fees.
with introduction of Atomic Swap technology which majority of altcoins (since they are copies of bitcoin) have this becomes an even bigger reality.

as a result i don't think there is going to be that much "fees" to earn from DEXes in the future as the current design will become obsolete eventually too. just like the centralized "altcoin" exchanges (not those that have fiat involved) will become obsolete too.

Blocknet, as mentioned by the OP, actually is 100% decentralized. It's a 4th gen DEX, check the pic below Wink

245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FINALLY- we can now exchange coins between different blockchains on: November 11, 2019, 07:14:16 PM
How is this any different as to use the Blocknet DEX, to exchange your funds peer 2 peer? A dApp that's been around for ages.

Nice seeing so much innovation in the DEX field, but you're promoting it as something "new" which I don't see at all.
Hopefully peer 2 peer trading will be used by more and more people in the future, since it's way more secure than sending your funds to a centralized hackable site, haha  Wink
246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: too many exchanges and will increase in the future, what do you guys think about on: November 11, 2019, 07:07:30 PM
Operating an exchange, even a small one can be extremely lucrative.
Crypto is a multi billion dollar industry, so it's no wonder that everyone wants to profit off of it. It's getting ridiculous indeed, but I'm sure that eventually we'll see a huge move over to DEX's since the vast majority of people wants to hide their identity when the tax man comes.
Only reason centralized exchanges is in business is because of FIAT-on/off ramps, and convenience, something a lot of DEX's is working on currently with implementation of stable coins etc.
I believe Blocknet will be one of the major players by next year when they allow their users to trade over a litewallet, making the actual exchange proccess way easier.
247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Huobi Global will freeze all US user accounts from November 13 on: November 11, 2019, 07:01:27 PM
Not a big deal at all, we're gonna see more and more big exchanges following the same pace eventually. The government in the US really wants to make crypto as bad as possible for their citizens. Hopefully there'll be a day where Decentralized Exchanges rule and dominiate our world, making these exchanges irrelevant to most of us. Accumulate DEX project coins while they're cheap might not be such a bad choice, feels like buying BNB at 10 cents when I buy BLOCK at $1 or less  Grin
248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee gives speech at the Barcelona Blockchain Week 2019 on: November 11, 2019, 06:55:59 PM
I would not be surprised to see that because mcafee even said the bullish prediction for scam token just like dent. if you are talking about the possibility of the dex to be shut down by the government and then what about etherdelta and idex's case?
Maybe IRS won't able to do that but yes for SEC. As far as i know what will be launched by komodo is a swap service. How much fees will be got by the platform depends on how much liquidity of the platform itself.

It's too early for dex to be like that,

You need to learn and understand what a TRUE DEX actually is.
"IDEX" enforced KYC on it's users, which means it's NOT a DEX at all. A real DEX doesn't use "Accounts". You don't need to signup to use it either. No personal details is needed, can be accessed from anywhere. You CAN'T shut down a DEX, it's the same as shutting down the internet, good luck with that.
249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / John McAfee gives speech at the Barcelona Blockchain Week 2019 on: November 07, 2019, 07:13:14 PM
Just saw this video on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yhJXIOEbvKY

I'm not a fan of the guy, and think his BTC price predictions is way too bullish, but he makes some interesting points in this video, explaining how you can't shut down DEX's, talking about governments and how the IRS wont be able to tax people who makes use of these.

I got goosebumps from just listening to this, and hope my speculations pay off. I'm accumulating projects like: Blocknet, Stakenet, Komodo, and a few others. If these projects takes off and get mass adoption, you could make a hefty amount of profit from the trading fees alone.

I figure a lot of wealthy people wants to get in on this eventually, as we saw in the past with the "Panama Leakage". The wealthy and powerful elites out there would LOVE to use this.

Thoughts?  Cool
250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Making money through DEX fee's. The next big thing? on: November 07, 2019, 07:06:23 PM
There's a TON of DEX's out there. Only the strongest ones survives. Same saying as only the strongest Altcoins survives basically.

I watched this video by John Mcafee yesterday, and he makes some interesting points on DEX use cases, even if you dislike him, he has some interesting views on the world, and I truly believe that his predictions is pretty accurate. His $2 million dollar BTC price by 2020 is a joke though..

251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Exchanges are not recommended. on: November 07, 2019, 06:56:55 PM
1) Don't use small exchanges with no reputation

2) If you can, try to avoid exchanges to begin with

3) Use decentralized exchanges like Blocknet's DEX, and you wont have to worry about losing your funds, personal details stolen etc.
252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Blocknet] truly decentralized exchange | token ecosystem infrastructure on: November 07, 2019, 06:53:58 PM
Are there any plans to add Ethereum to the Block DX? Surprised I couldn't find it Smiley

It's answerered in their latest AMA:  https://www.reddit.com/r/theblocknet/comments/dieqsv/blocknet_ama_thread/

It will hopefully get support eventually Smiley

I thought they were close with that quite some time back. Things move very slowly recently will all projects even the pretty promising ones like this. Let's hope the alt market picks soon and development drives forward at a more speedy pace.

I'm sure they have other priorities right now. Don't really think it's too hard to implement.
I'm seeing a lot of projects holding back on news and developments lately. Even projects I've worked with told me they are holding back, since it doesn't make sense to announce anything during a bear market, as nobody seem to care when the bear is out. Pretty sad, but that's the way it is I'm afraid.
253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The safest DEX exchange? on: November 06, 2019, 06:48:56 PM
It's a funny question when you think about it. One could argue that any DEX should be safe to use, but I'm guessing most people are unaware that a REAL DEX is owned by no one but the users.

Take a look at Blocknet, which released the first DEX on the market. Completely peer to peer trading, and with a ton of assets listed. Smiley
254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Are trading fees too high? Coinbase Generated Nearly $2 Billion in Trading Fees on: November 06, 2019, 05:14:58 PM
$2 Billion is an incredible amount. It's safe to say that 1% of that on any DEX could make those running them pretty wealthy long term. There's a few DEX projects out there that rewards people to run the DEX, which MIGHT be the one of the best opportunites in crypto right now.

I'm accumulating projects like Blocknet like a mad man, for this very reason  Grin
255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The best DEX on: November 06, 2019, 05:11:09 PM
I'm a big fan of Blocknet to be honest. Did some digging around like a few months ago, because I believe these DEX's will take off eventually, making DEX projects pretty good investments.

Saw the pic below, and decided to diversify some of my BTC into BLOCK. Dollar cost averaging is the way to go imho.

256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Blocknet - Established In 2014. First DEX on the market. Price predictions? on: November 01, 2019, 11:14:19 PM
Once the Litewallet is finished, it will be much easier to trade on Block DX, which should add a lot of volume to the DEX overall. The bull run next year will hopefully move people away from centralized solutions as exchanges will require more and more personal info, and quite possibly also share your details with the IRS.
257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Shill Me Your Altcoins on: November 01, 2019, 11:11:37 PM
Take a look at Blocknet. One of the oldest projects, yet still in active development. Insanely undervalued given the fact that they have a working product already. The Blocknet DEX has a lot of trading pairs, which makes it possible to trade anonymously. No accounts needed, no KYC.

Litewallet is under development, making trading even easier. Besides that their Xrouter services will run on their masternodes which will provide a lot of blockchain interoperability services as they are developed.

259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Huge Price Increase Following Stakenet's 2.0 Rebrand And Presentation Video! on: November 01, 2019, 09:52:18 PM
Stakenet launched their 2.0 Rebrand with a new cool logo, and a presentation video that explains what they do in detail.

Stakenet is probably the most innovating project out there on Lightning. Their masternode network is put to use and will be offering services, such as running the Stakenet Lightning DEX, Multi Currency Lightning Wallet, and route cross chain payments back and forth using Lightning, which allows unlimited transactions/s, with basically near 0 fees involved.

Check the presentation video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sXj3_qKSUBk&fbclid

The buy support has increased massively since they released this video, and I predict XSN will do a 3X - 5X in price before they release their DEX at the end of the year.

What do you guys think? Smiley
260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Will DEX's ever get the liquidity and volume of Centralized Exchanges today? on: October 31, 2019, 07:17:41 PM
Yeah, that's a question I keep asking myself these days. There's so many DEX projects, some of them not even being "Real DEX's" like the Binance "DEX". I've been wondering if another bull run could trigger a huge influx of new users towards these projects, since you don't need to own an account to use them.

Remember Q4 of 2017, when you couldn't even open a Binance account since they got too many registrations at once? With the recent influx of new trading options, some of the volume could be moved towards decentralized solutions such as Blocknet, just to name a project.

Another thing worth speculating on, is people seem to HATE KYC like the plague. Imagine all the rich and wealthy people, like celebs, and people with big time careers, they might not even want to risk disclosing what they hold should a centralized exchange be compromised, which makes DEX's the best solution.

Could 2020 be the year of DEX's? Just a thought... Grin
