Works every time.
762  Economy / Speculation / Re: Automated posting on: February 17, 2015, 04:33:38 PM
It's gone up at least 10× every year so far.  Don't see any reason why 2014 will be slower.  Based on the adoption curve and where we are on it, it should be FASTER.   Shocked

LATE EDIT: Forgot to guess: $45,000

Lots of good reasons to be buying BTC at the moment...

Best time we have had to buy in a long time.

Price @ time of post: "Over $1000"  Sad

i don't want to jinx it...but it is so dead around here these days...are there holidays or what?

Chinese Kwanzaa ("2015 Spring Festival (Lunar Chinese New Year) falls on Feb. 19 and the holiday starts from Feb. 18 to Feb. 25, 2015.")
Bitcoin don't dare move without Chian!

i propose that we let companies that specialize in construction do these things and charge a fee on their use.
that way you have a market for the best roads and you vote directly with your wallet instead of being stuck with the useless roads governments build with no consideration for demand and price.

You got your wish.
Teh Gubermint doesn't build roads--companies specializing in roadbuilding bid on contracts and, having won, proceed to build roads.
That said, let me feed your paranoia: You know who else built excellent roads?

Hitler!

Quiz:
Name the most convoluted and drawn-out way of buying a pair of socks ever.  Bonus points for shadiness and potential criminality.

[SPOILER!]
me - 'Hey, I fancy some alpaca socks. Let me get some coins from a guy via localbitcoins.'

More interesting news:
771  Economy / Speculation / Re: We are going downwards. on: February 16, 2015, 06:29:02 PM
This is not fud, This is a warning. Over the last two weeks the trend is slowly downwards. This means sentiment isn't good and we could see another dip in the next few weeks.

there is no downtrend, all i see is an uptrend since btc is born
...

When you start at zero, the only way is up Smiley
Then pick $1 or $10 as your starting point. It doesn't matter you'll still see an uptrend. In your face teddybear  Cool

Not $1200?

its composed of the same general public you consider to be too imbecilic to do the job...

Brain surgeons aren't superior aliens either.  They are a bit better at brain surgery than you tho.

If they don't, buyers of shares now will get 18 days of dividends at the beginning of March and a stable share price.

Confirmed by Havelock, or by wishful thinking?
