Necroing this thread because postmortem dissection is teh best way to learn (and remember) how shit works Smiley

Did you have a point or....?

I guess not.

An untrusting shithead might point to you keeping an eye on this thread for a year without posting on this forum even once, but hey, that ain't none of my business Smiley

@Benny:  Why did you delete this?  This info is publicly available through Havelock's API.  My script simply cleans up it up to make it readable.

Another post of mine that was deleted by another totally legit guy, Mr. Kenneth Slaughter of Active Mining, in HIS self-moderated thread (just noticed it in my messages):

That is what you should see, this is our first prototype board off of the line.  We are building more.
Post some pics.  Tell people whose chips you're using.  Thanks.

@NotLambchop:  I can vouch for Mr. Casco, he's totally not anybody else and exactly who he pretends to be, I'm super srs.  He and I get drunk and go out investing all the time together.

Warmest regards,

Get drunk and go investing lol How does that turn out for you?

Pretty much always like this Sad

Look, if you're Ken why would you keep this company going?  He should pay off the refunds, follow the MSD instructions, and then liquidate the rest of the company.  Shareholders will get nothing because they are only supposed to get profit shares.  There are no profits.  Ken will take what he gets from the mining farm and liquidation money and retire on that...

Ken was instructed by MSD to refund his shareholders.  It's irrelevant what the (illegally issued) shares represent.
Not sure if some sort of civil case (exposing Ken's personal assets) could be built on top of the MSD ruling, and doubt that Ken is foolish enough to have serious assets on paper, but worth a thought.

If it’s not possible (and please tell me if it’s not) then why is ANYONE still mining?

Because large operations have an electricity cost that is at least 5x lower than Cryptx. Because KnC, Cointerra, cex.io and several others dont buy their hardware at market rates, but produce them for a cost that is by my guess, around 1/10th of the market price, and get even that subsidized by retail customers paying far too high rates,  like Cryptx . And because many are as clueless as you and will buy miners no matter what.
...

All of the above, plus the ASIC lag--miners have pre-ordered the hardware looooong before starting to mine.  When the hardware arrives, the only remaining option is to immediately toss it into the trash (total loss), or mine with it until (worth(coins mined)) becomes < (cost(electricity to mine those coins)).
Don't know why all the above isn't obvious.

inb4: "lol I sellz teh minerz!!1!"--not when everyone else is trying to do the same thing.  Greater fools have dried up substantially.  Still a few left, judging by this thread, but nowhere near enough to absorb this fail.

+1!

Just pawned grandma's wheelchair and wired the profit to cryptex.  Grammy's a tough old bird and PETA could put the money to better use.

Gentlemen, we're the new moneyed elite!  Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more!
12  Economy / Securities / Re: Which stock securities do you recommend ? on: June 20, 2014, 08:43:11 PM
...RENT currently has ~25% more value in holdings than its current list price, it would be pretty difficult for shit to hit the fan considering that RENT owns several properties, and if one of them were to have a fire (unlikely scenario) RENT would still have more value in holdings than its current list price.

I think RENT is the safest investment in cryptoworld currently

RENT is currently trading @.0045, that's .001 lower than its first IPO price of .0055, and .003 lower than its SECOND IPO price.  All this while Branny is trying to solicit loans @loanshark interest rates.  With no one biting.

TL;DR:  If the best investment sux, don't invest.  Simple Smiley

I think you really all need to think about 3D SPACE as a resource along with power efficiency. The SP30s is just a single blip on the evolutionary chain of miners. There are already designs that are evolving that plug and play box on top of another plug n play box. I am keen on seeing how much mining you can compress into the smallest space possible the SP10 and SP30 are the right direction but it will not stop there. Cases, heatsinks racks take up a lot of valuable space imagine how to shed all that. As for reselling the datatank? You could use it for a lot more than mining and anyone looking into the Datatank should be looking at supplemental income beyond mining for the space.
...

Hi guise!  Just putting the finishing touches on my nanomodular hyperconducting personal miner with liquid helium phase-change cooling.

When the hardware becomes inefficient (lol, never happen!), the cryochambrer will be repurposed for cryotherapy.

Here is an email header from "Tom"@coinreturn.me
Code:
Received: from localhost ([127.0.0.1]:34460 helo=coinreturn.me)

Aha!  Localhost  127.0.0.1 <==Satan's house
Now all we need to spring the trap is someone posting the headers as a hex dump, and, of course, pagelong whois queries of coinreturn.me and localhost.

^Stop being insulting.  Do I suggest that you enjoy getting repeatedly raped by the issuers of various "securities"?  Don't think the thought hasn't crossed my mind, but proper etiquette dictates I keep those suspicions to myself.

Besides, had I ulterior motives for educating you, I would say "no, I do not invest."  If I do not invest, I would also say "no, I do not invest."  So your question is rather unenlightening.

Lol, just stop.  You bought some crack from a skeezy finance crack dealer, got burned, and now you run to the cops.  This is exactly the sort of embarrassment Bitcoin doesn't need, exactly the thing I try to prevent by asking you to stop sending coin to every scammer who promises you the world and a ring on your finger.

Really, stop.
Stop embarrassing yourself and Bitcoin by association.  Pool's closed.  Everybody go home.
18  Economy / Securities / Re: [Active Mining] The UNofficial Active Mining Discussion Thread [UNmoderated] on: June 05, 2014, 12:52:23 PM
Talk about shutting the stable door after the horses have bolted...

Unless Ken is as clueless as some of his suckers, his assets are not in his name, not in MO, and, most likely, not in $$$.  His house (on record) is a worthless shithole.  Don't know about his car, but my bet is it's leased or a beater.  I'm certain his bank account is uninteresting, so going after his personal assets is pretty much pointless.  The real money is gone.  Ken did this sort of thing for a while, he knows how it's done.

Re. your reimbursement:  Most will get *nothing*, hence the sub-penny CT prices.  MSD are not working for you, their job is to keep MO rat population down and help MO finance.  Not to help Libber Brits and Aussies, who don't even thank US for pwning Ken Angry
19  Economy / Securities / Re: BMF has lost access to it's wallet on: May 29, 2014, 02:28:28 PM
you didn't have any backup wallet backed up locally???

No, I had paid for remote backups on my KVM.

Don't these "remote backups" have a long and storied history here in Bitcoinland?
They're more dangerous than those homework-eating dogs...
20  Economy / Securities / Re: Lab Rat Data Processing, LLC (LabRatMining) Official Announcement on: May 29, 2014, 02:23:50 PM
Glad to hear things are improving.

Why was grnbrg not permitted to simply say you were occupied moving equipment to deal with a hosting problem??  (That would have substantially reduced the stress levels of no-dividend combined with no Labrat present and accounted for...)

How to make shit news seem great:

1.  Stop communicating, let everyone fear teh worst.
2.  Return, deliver shit news.
3.  Everyone's psyched, shit not as bad as feared.  Very joy.  Such exalted.
4.  ? ? ?
5.  PROFIT!
