101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how to avoid fraudulent projects? on: July 25, 2020, 07:22:16 AM
Be willing to learn, be willing to be hard working, don't keep things you don't know unknown to yourself, this forum for example has everything a newbie can ever need to know about crypto and how to be on safer side, crypto is full of risks and to manage risks you need some knowledge
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty or Airdrop kill project? on: July 25, 2020, 07:19:21 AM
I dont know what you think guys but i think airdrop and bounty kill the project let say after the project finish the ico all the bounty and airdrop hnter sell their coin/token , this make te price go low.Since all of bounty and airdrp hunter did not care about the project.
Really? Do you know how many crypto projects are standing strong after bounty hunters sold their own tokens? When dumps happened because bounty hunters sell coins it means the project have low volume and low liquidity, who is to be blame for that?
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fill your bag with caution on: July 20, 2020, 07:14:44 PM
Watch out for things like
1. Utilities
2. Popularity
3. Team experience with blockchain
4. Top exchanges for IEO
5. Ask very good questions, if answers aren't neat enough pls avoid

The most important part is real use case, top exchanges and team experience, do this research and the chance of choosing wrong will be very limited
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounties managed by team themselves on: July 19, 2020, 09:17:59 AM
It's dangerous to promote projects that's been managed by team themselves, they can break their rules themselves, we noticed something like this with first round of Oikos bounty where the manager almost ruin everything, few members almost create a scam accusation about the project before the CEO fixed things himself
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEO might soon become an history in crypto world soon on: July 19, 2020, 09:13:20 AM
It's only something that doesn't work becomes history, IEO works better than ICO through top exchanges and I'm loving it, right now I don't even pray for another ways to raise funds, quack new projects are the only projects that will have problem raising funds through top exchanges
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Ampleforth be a better Bitcoin? on: July 19, 2020, 09:06:59 AM
It just broke the top 50 cmc. You might not of heard of it but simply it aims to be a non inflation crypto with elastic supply. It targets a 2019 CPI so it's not really a stablecoin.

https://youtu.be/Mmr47bji50c

4:00-9:00 one of the devs explains the concept.

Ampleforth use case is very promising but comparing to what Bitcoin have achieved is night and day, ampleforth will still have to go through alot to have a place in crypto space like how ethereum did, the difference is big presently, anything can happen in future but don't expect Ethereum and Bitcoin to stay same way for ampleforth to be better
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Newbies are safer with top altcoins on: July 19, 2020, 09:04:30 AM
Agreed but non top altcoins have better return of investment, it's better to advice newbies to start learning so that they can take advantage of new coins with interesting utility so that they can make good ROI holding such coins, top altcoins are safer but I am on here for better ROI, I'm holding some top altcoins but I have more new altcoins
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sometimes late bounties can still pay rewards on: July 18, 2020, 03:27:06 PM
When you finished a bounty Campaign don't look back, you can check telegram group for updates but don't rely on the project, this is crypto space where anything can happen to a project, I waited for a project to pay after a year and I got denied of my reward, that's after a year, what if I waited only for this project
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to know if the project is fake? on: July 18, 2020, 03:21:55 PM
I easily spot kingcasino as a scam project because of their team, they used fake identities on their website and also claim to have raised millions of dollars through a private investor, something that's too good to be real, it's all about been smart, that's how you will get good result
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Altcoins Failed To Win Over Bitcoin on: July 18, 2020, 03:16:50 PM
Do you know the type of coins I like investing on? Those who don't have anything to do with fund raisings or IEO, the reason why I decide to stay like this is because of new projects developers, they only aim to make money.

Altcoins can't win over bitcoin and it will always be the best for many years to come, the fact that we don't know about Satoshi is what makes Bitcoin more decentralized
111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OneCoin scam promoters found dead! on: July 17, 2020, 07:17:52 AM
Of all places in the world they plan to settle down in Mexico? That raised an eyebrow seriously, it's either these brothers are into drug cartels shit or they works for a drug cartel network or they played a member in the drug cartel ring that got them killed, I don't feel any pity because these guys ruined the lives of many and they felt no remorse
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Decentralized Cloud Storage: Is it worth it? on: July 17, 2020, 07:13:43 AM
I've stumbled across many decentralized cloud storage platforms like Storj, Sia, Swarm (ETH blockchain), and IPFS. They seem to serve their purpose well, providing an "alternative" to existing cloud storage services which are utterly centralized. Technically speaking, everything is "reds and roses". But as far as mainstream adoption goes, decentralized cloud storage solutions are "left behind in the dust". Since you'd need to use a token or cryptocurrency for most decentralized cloud storage platforms, you're exposed to volatility risks. It's not the same paying for cloud storage with a volatile cryptocurrency than with Fiat. Maybe stablecoins will prove to be useful for both the "renter" and the "user"?

Of course, storage platforms like Sia and Storj are often much cheaper than their centralized counterparts. But for some reason, people seem to trust services like Dropbox, AWS, and Google Drive more than these projects. I'm starting to wonder if decentralized cloud storage will prove to be successful in the long run, or simply an idea that will fade into oblivion.

Do you think decentralized cloud storage platforms are worth it? Will centralized cloud storage services continue to reign supreme in the digital world? If not, why? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance Smiley
If I have to compare Dropbox and Google Drive services with that of any crypto cloud storage projects it's certain that Dropbox and Google Drive will win because too many people at using these centralized cloud storage more than any crypto cloud storage platforms
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Decentralized Cloud Storage: Is it worth it? on: July 17, 2020, 07:11:58 AM
Decentralized cloud storage is a good idea and it's been in existence for so long now, I won't advice a dev to build a new project base only on this use case alone because there are already too many competitors available in crypto space e.g storj for example
114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Back then and Now, lesson learnt on: July 10, 2020, 10:30:46 AM
same happen to me when i was starting my career on crypto . i got interested of mining on my own using only the gadgets that i have because they say its possible but idk why i never proceeded . it automatically written on my head that ill only got crap coins so its not worth it  .  now you prove it here that my decision back before are correct . mining is a waste of energy if if your mining a bad coin , next time if we want to mine we should get the right equipment first to be able to mine the best coins  only
Mining is a waste of energy? Many people probably said the same thing when you can use a Pentium 4 Computer to mine 10 or more Bitcoin per day in 2010, it was the same story with ethereum, many become a whale today because the mine Bitcoin and Ethereum when they are easier to acquire, mining new coins is not a waste of energy, you just have to figure out which coin is good enough to mine
115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people still fall victim to obvious scam? on: July 10, 2020, 10:25:08 AM
Not all scam are obvious but you are right that people still fall for cheap scam tricks, I believe the reason behind this is lack of knowledge, those who put learning aside will fall for cheap schemes in crypto space, no where is safe online if you don't seek for knowledge
116  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Useful tips I've learned so far, might come in handy on: July 10, 2020, 09:59:35 AM
Just want to add for points 5, Diversify with only on altcoin can also be a mistake. Most coins are following Bitcoin, when bitcoin goes down, everything goes down, actually losing bitcoin can be less than investing in an altcoin. If you really want to invest in altcoin, in my opinion, the only thing done is 40% in stable coin/token, 30% in Bitcoin and the rest is up to you (you can change the portions as you wish).

Yes Bitcoin is the safest but we all know that altcoin brings the biggest ROI than what you can earn from Bitcoin, I'm sure 90% of newbies will choose to invest in altcoin still even if they have Bitcoin, every one have the dream of catching gems while they are still young you know, I'm hoping the same thing too that's why I have few altcoins in my wallet
117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tecra is thinking about changing the hashing algorithm on: July 10, 2020, 09:54:29 AM
Will the hashing function used on address/transaction generation or as mining (Proof of Work)? If it's used as mining and you wish to build "ASIC-resistant algorithm", you better use another method such as ProgPoW.
In general our changes in hash function impacts the first one - address/transaction not mining algorithm
Then build your own tecra Algorithm, I've seen few projects did this in the past, you don't have to use other coins Algorithm, after Monero built RandomX algo many cryptonight coins opt into RandomX, if you have good devs who are experts in this area it's better they built a separate algo from scratch only for tecra coin
118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Always look at the coins MAX supply on: July 09, 2020, 09:14:26 AM
Only projects with shit use case will have to worry about its max supply, it's why new developers have been warned many times never to develop repetitive projects and nonsense use case projects, max supply isn't the culprit here it's lack of good use case
119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stable coins for bounty hunters on: July 09, 2020, 09:09:54 AM
OP where do you expect new projects that haven't raised any funds and not listed on any exchange get money to pay bounty hunters? That's why they paid in their tokens because it's easier this way, it's the best they can do, any new project that haven't raised any fund but paid hunters with BTC or USDT are well funded, the money must be from the team or a private investor
120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: should i invest to this project ? on: July 09, 2020, 09:06:18 AM
Hi , I have never invested for a project , i need to invest for a project and i have an idea to invest on this project - https://curioinvest.com/car/4
But i need your opinions about this project ? Is it a Scam project ?
Will it be Profitable for me ?

This project is mediocre, it's still in development but I'm not sure about the team capability, mind checking that out first and also invest very little on this project, just my own advice, find good new altcoins that are well supported, there are many, just do good research
