Regarding the Arizona bill, Governor Hobbs is known to veto most of the bills, let's not get our hopes up there.
Nvidia is new to me, do you have any sources?
The US selling gold to buy bitcoin -- I believe it when I see it.
Hobbs is an incompetent idiot, but she won’t alienate Bitcoiners by vetoing this bill. It’ll pass automatically on Monday. That’s what I’m expecting. The Nvidia rumor is all over X. If there is no truth to it, they got a lot of folks to repeat it. The rumor I’m reading is that the United States will revalue their gold to current prices giving them a $900 billion dollar increase on their books, which they will use to sell off $100 billion and invest in Bitcoin. I think the old multiple of an investment’s effect on market cap is 15? If so, this sends us to $170K this year by itself. Add in $10 billion in short covering, $50 billion in buying from Strategy, potentially $100 billion from other large companies, billions from other governments, retail, banks… You can see the path to $444K beginning to materialize. You crazy bastards are going to get rich! Thanks for your insight. I've read up on the Nvidia rumors, that's huge if true. The US, even bigger. Interesting times.

So Nvidia is buying Bitcoin for its balance sheet and the United States is selling gold to buy Bitcoin. Arizona will create a strategic Bitcoin reserve in the next few days to start stacking Bitcoin, we’re 5% away from liquidating 8 billion dollars worth of shorts and GameStop is still accumulating their Bitcoin purchase. Sounds bullish.
Wait, what. This is extremely bullish. Regarding the Arizona bill, Governor Hobbs is known to veto most of the bills, let's not get our hopes up there. GameStop I agree with you, Ryan Cohen has been hinting this a long time. Nvidia is new to me, do you have any sources? The US selling gold to buy bitcoin -- I believe it when I see it.

I also can't believe that I'm seriously considering switching to Knots. Considering the goofy number of nodes that I run, it's going to be a pain in the ass.
the luke-jr version? i can see this may cost me a rabbit hole or two to figure out. Yes, that version. I used to run a knots node a couple of years back, but I switched back to core later. A bit worrisome running a node which code is only maintained by one(?) guy.. I'm a bit out of the loop, but I've seen this discussion taking up some of my X feed lately. I need to read up what this is all about.

The past few weeks in the LN space have been out of the ordinary, the forwards have been on steroids. Here are a few examples from the past couple of days 💰 Forwarded 0.20000000 bfx-lnd1 → fixedfloat.com. Earned 0.00055900 0.28% (2795) 💰 Forwarded 0.33503586 Kraken 🐙⚡️ → LOOP. Earned 0.00117028 0.35% (3493) I'm over 1M sats in profits over the past 30 days, f*cking crazy. edit: here it is

Yeah, I was following this story through @ZachXBT on X. Really sad story, I feel for the elderly couple. Zach also mentioned the btc originated from "interesting" sources. Intriguing, I want to know more.

Today we celebrate a European Holiday. By Lighting a bon fire to remember the wars against Muslims. We lit the bonfires on top of the hill to warn others of an oncoming fleet of Muslim Barbarians so the troops could get ready and repel the enemy invaders.
It is because of our past heroes that we have a developed and such an sophisticated world. Therefore i thank them for all they have done
What are you talking about? We celebrate today as the beginning of summer.

My LN node has been very active today, no idea why. I usually see these movements when the price is fluctuating heavily, that's not the case today though. I had my 2nd biggest forward ever happening today as well. Here's the notification from my telegram bot 💰 Forwarded 0.41071514 bfx-lnd0 → LOOP. 110k sats in profit today. I wish I could keep that pace. Normally, my monthly profits varies between 200 to 300k sats. well 3300k sats vs 300k is a nice goal. for a months earnings. Yeah, I wish. Now, most of my expensive sink channels are drained and need to be rebalanced. Take that ~0.4btc forward to LOOP that I mentioned earlier. Now my node will try to rebalance that channel with a max-cost of 85% of its profits, every 5 minutes, until all the sats are on my end again. How much BTC do you have in your channels over all ? At the moment, 11 btc. A year or so back, it was over 20 btc, but I've downsized it lately. I try to keep my node fairly balanced, so half the btc or so belongs to me. This is all public information btw, you just need where to look. Anyway, I keep most of my stash in cold storage, away from prying eyes.

Today it's exactly one year since the last halving.
Happy easter and happy 4/20 everyone.

The seedlings sprouted and popped out on 4/20. How fitting is that? lol 8 out of 10. That’s fine. "Well hello my little “Apple Fritter” cannibabies. Welcome to this fucked up world. But no worries my new born friends…I will be your caretaker." GO BITCOIN That looks great, good luck with your grow. I really miss growing. Unfortunately that's out of the question now, since I have a family and I don't want to get into any trouble. Sadly, the country I live in doesn't look lightly to this harmless plant. I even served time a decade ago for growing cannabis. Fun anecdote. The police seized all my digital assets during that bust in search of any illegal online activity, including my computer where I had bitcoin core installed and all my bitcoins on it. It was later returned to me since no such activity could be proven. But it was a few nervous months while I was locked up and the police had access to all my coins. After that incident I got myself a Trezor wallet and securely stored my coins.

I think you mentioned you tie up some coins doing all this.
But if you really want access back to the btc how fast does it take to get it back?
All it takes is an on-chain transaction. Closing a channel and get those funds to your wallet with 3 confirmations takes maybe 30 minutes, depending on the fee you choose and the mempool activity. Opening a channel is the same, it's an on-chain transaction. Let's say I open a 0.1 btc channel with peer A. Now those funds are locked up and free to move to my other channels for a small fee, set by me. The channel is free to be closed at any time, by either me or my channel peer. After that, the funds will be available for me again. So I don't risk losing any funds, but they are all tied up as long as I keep the channel open.

I think there is no one here. But I am a little confused, you may not have been with him on WO or BTT Forum. Because if you observe your history. Your Registration Date: August 30, 2017 r0ach Last active : August 24, 2017 That's wild. r0ach was last active 8 years ago, he made a satoshi more or less. Speaking of old users, Ibian was well to crown r0ach's legacy, but he just disappeared from the face of the earth in the beginning of the pandemic. I wonder what happen to him.

BTC is shaking today, just like my guest bathroom in Bangkok (sad day).. Dude, I hope you and your family are ok. I've got family there too, thankfully they are all OK. Bangkok is my second home, our condo is not too far from where the building collapsed in Chatushak.

OT: I am off to the DataCenter where some of my servers are living, gotta replace some ageing SSD and SAS Drives.... Last time i was here, i made the decision it is time to call it a day!.. The stress and anxiety was not worth it anymore... or is it?... Anyhow, wish me luck, hopefully it will be a more pleasant experience.... or maybe I'll have some fun and just unplug a some servers that belongs to Google... Speaking of aging SSD's. That's the task of the weekend. goblin-no.de need a new ssd. Just come across an issue with my LN Node... Can not upgrade bitcoin core to the latest... Binary will not run on CentOS Stream release 8... need to compile from source!.. Bloody annoying! I am thinking of splitting the box... One for lnd (2x2TB SSD Enterprise) and another for bitcoind (Single SSD Drive - maybe 2TB or 3TB)(current growth, the drive should fail first) I've taken the route of trying to make the Node somewhat profitable... got the inspiration from you!.. your 680,000Sat monthly profit was amazing! Although i haven't opted for onchain opening and closing to balance channels, everything has all been done via lightning... Started working on some new tools to automate the channel management... (I needed a better overview of what is happening with the routing, in real time and change channel fees and monitor and compare that impact of fee changes over the last few weeks and move up or down if needed, try to find the sweet spot and maximize the channel) I also lost some fairly large channels recently.... over 1.2BTC closed from LNBig (Not that there was much traffic from them)... LNNode dropped down to 10.5BTC... Not sure if i want to throw anymore SATS at it just yet... How's goblin-no.de tracking? My node is humming along nicely. The profitability is back to more normal levels. Last month profits was 170k sats. December month was out of the ordinary. For some reason my channel with fixedfloat.com kept routing out at ~5000 sats ppm (more than twice than my 2nd most expensive channel LOOP) while I was able to rebalance it for ~3000 ppm. It was like an infinite money glitch.
