Wondering i bought coins on the exchange, when i put it in my wallet will i earn 10%?
yes on Days 8-17 (POS): Nominal Stake Interest: 10% Daily 1000 4320 4320000 25919 4000 103676000 Total 107996000 Day 8 118795600 Day 9 130675160 Day 10 143742676 Day 11 158116943,6 Day 12 173928638 Day 13 191321501,8 Day 14 210453651,9 Day 15 231499017,1 Day 16 254648918,8 Day 17 280113810,7 They are saying Total of coins: 1,000,000,000 Now after 17 days we have 280,113,810 coins and 3.65% yearly Sorry, but how many years do we need to wait to reach 1,000,000,000 coins? I just did the calculation 100 years before we reach 1,000,000,000. This is ridicules. I would suggest to the owner of this coin to put REAL numbers in it. If investors see, WHAT!!! 1,000,000,000 coins then they will say this price looks high, but when you dan check, what a minute. After 10 years we still only have 400,000,000 coins, so this price is cheap, very cheap. I don't think you are taking the effect of compounding into your equations. After the minted coins mature, you earn interest on them, as well. I don't know what the interval is for earnings. But if they are paid once a day, then after 100 years there would be more than 10 billion coins. But they pay 3.65% yearly, so when we have 280,113,810 coins after day 17, then we will have on day 382 280,113,810 * 1.0365, no? To get the exact number, I need to know how long the average payment interval is. C = total number of coins n = number of years If it pays only once a year, we have C = 280,113,810 x 1.0365 ^ n If it pays once a day, we have C = 280,113,810 x 1.0001 ^ (n * 365)

I have problems with Proof of Stake. Not all incomes are correct and accepted by the network.
What is this?
Send me your coins and I'll take a look at them to see what's wrong....

one concern as to whether or not I stay in your pool the other pool I was in mining YC showed me as getting a lot more YC per day than your pool jjj092353 14,764 hash 9,763.334 yc/day why is yours so much lower? I hope this corrects soon or I'll have to go back to the other pool you guys are only showing me getting half that amount I was getting on the other pool... I need to switch back unless your number comes up. You realize that the difficulty has like tripled in the last 24 hours, right? It doesn't matter what pool you use - if the coin's difficulty goes up your coins/day goes down.

It appears I already got some proof of stake coins. Is that by design? Yes, the POS is 3.65% Annually for the first 7 days. Actually, I generated coins but they were never confirmed. It says "Generated but not accepted". I wonder what's up with that? This happened to me as well but only once out of 34 transactions. In the transaction details of the "Generated but not accepted" block it says: "Generated coins must mature 50 blocks before they can be spent. When you generated this block, it was broadcast to the network to be added to the block chain. If it fails to get into the chain, its state will change to "not accepted" and it won't be spendable. This may occasionally happen if another node generates a block within a few seconds of yours." I wonder if this is the same as an orphaned block? Tis an orphan. How often are the coins supposed to stake? I only have two POS transactions, one about 12 hours ago and one about 8 hours ago. Neither was accepted on the block chain.

what is your payout level set to?
this can happen until your payout threshold is met and it does take some time for them to be confirmed.
what pool are you on?
Not the pool coins. These are generated transactions from the wallet.

PosCoin, which you have scheduled for Saturday, appears to be a scam (like many people thought it was). It looks like the developer (well, I guess he didn't actually develop anything) made off with about $3000 and never released wallets. You might want to pull it off your calendar.

I'll be 100% behind you, or anyone else who can help prove that there was any crime committed here.
BUT....
The police will still think we're just complaining that someone stole our secret sword in some abstract WoW world. There is no crime here. There never was. The fact is: if BTC is the same as fiat currency, then we have a case. If it is not, and it is a revolutionary way of holding value and wealth, then the established means of law enforcement is USELESS. Learn your lesson. That is all.
-d
The nearly $400M in bitcoin that MtGox lost sure raised a flag for law enforcement. They might be scratching their heads trying to figure it out, but they know it is a big deal. If I lost coins on an exchange, and I believed fraud was involved, I'd report it to law enforcement even if I thought they would roll their eyes at me. Stealing bitcoins is a crime in almost every jurisdiction. Not reporting it just gives law enforcement an excuse to keep rolling their eyes.

I am getting this at the bottom of the screen, even after the block chain has completed downloading:
"WARNING: Checkpoint is too old. Wait for block chain to download, or notify developers."
Is there a new version I'm supposed to have?

So I mined a couple of blocks last night. Came on this morning and the wallets hangs on block 3138 while syncing. I also have a message at the top of the screen warning me that displayed transaction might not be correct. Is this coin already forked?
|
|
|
If this coin is based on the way things work in Nigeria, shouldn't there be a 85% pre-mine that the government keeps? Ans a 25% transaction "tax"?

Can't sync. Any others nodes besides the two in the announcement?

I am trying to compile DigiByte for 32-bit Lubuntu. I followed the instructions at: https://github.com/digibyte/DigiByteProjectEverything went well until I tried to compile the qt wallet. At this point, here is what happens. When I type: ~/DigiByteProject$ qmake "USE_UPNP=-" digibyte-qt.pro I get: Project MESSAGE: Building with QRCode support Project MESSAGE: Building without UPNP support Project MESSAGE: Building with QRCode support Project MESSAGE: Building with UPNP support Removed plural forms as the target language has less forms. If this sounds wrong, possibly the target language is not set or recognized. WARNING: TARGET is empty and then when I type: make I get: make: Nothing to be done for `first'. Any ideas?

If this gets on an exchange, is everyone going to dump? I'm not. I do not plan to dump.
|
|
|
Great work! Will add to the original post! I am not talking to you yet.

Yesss, I just dumped my stupid 888 Octocoins I solomined at launch for a very nice .007 BTC at xnigma. Apparently anything goes over there. They have things I never heard of. I will email them or see about getting Bird added. At the very very least, it would be nice to have a place to unload our Birdcoins.
I just emailed xnigma, too.

So community takeover planned yet or what?
Not planned, but certainly contemplated. I need help though. I have a job, and I can't dedicate myself 24/7. If people are willing to help, I'm in. Actually, I just thought about something. What about the 140,000,000 pre-mined coins? We'd have to overcome that. If we fix this coin (which has mostly been done, thanks to Edric), and get it on an exchange (which wouldn't take tremendous effort), the dev will dump the premine, profit off our work, and drive the price down in the process. Is it still worth it for us?
