Should get even better once the inflation comes to a full stop, which at an average vote of now 2 will be very soon  Grin

Last 2117 blocks in limit phase we have avg vote 326, in sustain phase avg vote is 0-8 so if we take 8 avg vote we have (2117*326 +1483*8 )/3600= 195 HVC
It is not big difference if we take 0 avg votes, than next block reward will be 192 HVC.
So from block 136 800 to block 140 400 we will have max 3600*194=698 400 coins

I took this from the wallet client when doing my calculation, it showed an average of 300 for 827 votes = 248100, leaving (3600-827) votes at a guesstimated average of 7 = 19411, resulting in a total of 267511, divided by 3600 votes = around 75. But if the client's display of 827 votes was wrong and it were much more then of course my calculation is wrong.

My guess for next block reward is 75.

What in the world is going on?  I thought HEAVY was supposed to be totally done with PoW phase in the next day or two?

So what is the new target - over 100 million coins?

Looks like the 8 vote limit kicked in later than specified, not at the end of limit phase, but only at the beginning of sustain phase.
So we entered sustain phase with a block reward that was still normally voted on with 1024 limit, and apparently the current block reward voting also was not limited to 8 at the beginning, but now seems to be, so the average vote constantly goes down, but due to the blocks still being voted at the 1024 limit at the beginning my gues is we'll end up at a block reward of 75 for the next round. The round after that should be max 8 then for real, or rather 7 as at least I will continue voting 0. On the other hand all what's going on now shoulen't change total supply anymore, only the length of the sustain phase.

Well it is a clear violation of the specification there is no doubt about that!

It clearly says " The second phase (Limit) allows a maximum vote of 1024 HVC for the first 59,876 blocks, but 8 HVC for the last ~3,600 blocks so it can transition into to the last phase (Sustain). The Sustain phase allows a maximum vote of 8 HVC."

We are now almost 3,500 blocks into those "last 3,600 blocks" and I STILL see an average vote of 327.

If it was paramount to stick to the original specification and keep allowing people to vote high throughout the limit phase, when it was already obvious that a system that only allows miners to vote, is not working, then FFS stick to the specification now also and stop this high voting AS SPECIFIED!

More than 3.000 blocks now mined at 300+ block reward while it should have been 8, and even the votes are still at 300+ when they should have been at a max of 8 days ago.
Mumbly is a fix coming for this?

4580 blocks until the end of limit phase (about 6 days)

Actually the block reward should go to 8 tomorrow already if the specs are correct as there should be a vote limit of 8 for the last 3600 blocks of limit phase, and that will happen in ~850 blocks.

They could have at least waited until Sustain phase.
This comes unexpeted for me because while HVC certainly wasn't the most traded coin there there were a lot of coins with lower volumes.

Shocked So.. from you message, it seems to be a really dead coin. No positive actions at all!

and you seem to be a troll, the mechanics of the coin and why the price is currently low were explained numerous times on the previous pages.

Agree with that.
The current block reward vote already determines the first block reward in LIMIT PHASE, so everyone VOTE 1 to get the max supply as low as possible!

As biggest share of hashrate now on zhpool I wanted to check it out, but it seems you must sign up there and registrations are closed, but available on invite? Or are they not even available with invite at the moment?

It's not a fixed amount, the voting determines the end supply. Once the mint phase ends (~10 days) there will be 53 million HVC. Limit phase starts and voting determines the supply during said phase and the duration of the phase is almost 3 months (~88.1 days). The max amount that can be added to the 53 million from the limit phase is almost 65 million and the least is 0. So you can have 53 million all the way up to 118 million after limit phase. Last phase sustain will add another 10 million at a rate no more than 8hvc/block.

The 65M stated on http://heavycoin.github.io/ are incorrect as it misses the voting limit of 8 for the last 5 days of limit phase, which lowers the total amount of coins possible in limit phase by about 3.5M to ~61.5M.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [HVC] Heavycoin - Ultra-secure, Decentralized Block Reward Voting, Fast on: June 07, 2014, 01:53:13 AM
So now many coins will there be total when mining ends?

And when will mining end, completely?

Thanks!

In the end there will be between 64M and 125M coins, it depends on the voting in the soon to start limit phase.
53M when limit phase starts in ~10 days, between 0 and ~61M in the limit phase, and 10M in the sustain phase.
The last coin will probably be mined in ~5 years, but ~90% of the coins will have been mined in around 3 months.

My guess would be an average vote of 256 during limit phase, considering many but not all will come to their senses with the high voting. But I could be misjudging that. Initially the vote was around 500, later it moved up to 700 after it was seen that it wasn't possible to get the vote lower, so many supporters of low voting started voting high to get over the minting phase as soon as possible (minting phase coin supply is fixed, by voting higher you make the minting phase shorter).
So this would end us at around 15M coins in limit phase and a total supply of ~78M coins at the end of the sustain phase (68M at the end of limit phase).

Hello, can anyone tell me why this coin had fallen to the ground? Any fraud or bad news?

The main reason is that miners keep voting very high, so the block reward has been keeping very high, so the supply of coins is very high driving the price down, because there are always lots of miners having a big supply of coins that they dump immediatly. Not all miners do that, but probably a lot of them.
The minting phase will end very soon however, in around 10 days, and the supply of new coins should get much lower then. In about 3 months time the daily supply of coins will be at 1/100th of what it is now, the voting limit will drop from 1024 to 8 then. But you can expect a much lower voting when the limit phase starts in 10 days already. It's almost certain that a few people will start a "vote 1" campaign here as soon as the limit phase starts.

Whether it works or not but such an anonymity functionality could be an excellent marketing vehicle, I completely agree.
