1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] 🚀🚀🚀 DOPECOIN : LAUNCHES SMOKE EXCHANGE ICO 🚀🚀🚀 on: October 02, 2017, 02:02:16 AM
Exciting day folks!  Grin
Here are some instructions on how to participate in this ICO:
https://smokeexchange.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/Smoke-Exchange-Instructions.pdf

With all the beauty that is happening I expected the price of Dope to go up instead of down. Although that gives the real supporters time to buy extra dope at a nice price, it makes me wonder why the price isn't going up. Any ideas?

I've been with dope since the 130sat range but my guess would be mainly because you can't buy into smoke with dope.  Most of the people that want dope to do well and think smoke exchange will help are already real dope supporters but mainly hold dope.  Therefore in able to participate in the ICO they need to sell their dope in order to buy Ethereum in order to participate.  There could also be the belief that since the developers are focusing on Smoke Exchange instead of DOPE at the moment although it should benefit dope in the long run the smoke token probably has a higher chance of short term gain so some people would be shifting out of Dope short term expecting a drop to probably 500 sats or a bit lower before it starts to gradually come back.  That's my idea of what's happening.

Just out of curiosity is anybody else having trouble staking?  Been trying for about a week and haven't been able to stake:

Wallets unlocked for staking, have over 23,000 confirmation and my staking weight fluctuates between 50%-99% of the network weight but still nothing...

I'll ask the obligatory...'do you have the latest wallet?'

Yes, I am on the latest wallet.  As well the seeds the fayoling sent me as falling off the tree have staked but my big chunk of over 40k still has not.  If its stuck, anyway to bump it without losing all the confirmations?

Is your wallet unlocked?
Is your reservebalance set in settings > options > main tab?
Is staking=0 set in your seedcoin.conf file?

Yes I unlock the wallet for anywhere from a couple hours to a day when I have tried to stake. The 4 seed Fayoling sent me staked but not a block of 46K, its a single block that now has over 27k confirmations
Reserve balance was never set and is currently at 0

Can't seem to find the seedcoin.conf?  Maybe have to make a new one? (I can still send and receive coins and my little block stakes just my big block isn't staking)

Seed is all about staking and growing.

Right now I see the #1 wallet as a large lonely tree out in the middle of a field. There are some medium trees around it, and a field of small tree surrounding that.

So the large tree in the middle, is at max capacity, and every stake it receives is a new seed that falls off of it. These seeds will land randomly throughout the field and medium trees.

All the seeds that the #1 wallet creates will from now on, land within other staking wallets. Right now there are approx 80 staking wallets. And the #1 stakes around 300 coins in 24 hours. We will send out transactions once a week for now, but if Cryptzo could incorporate something into the wallet, to make this a part of how Seedcoin works, I think it'd be great.

Right now,
(we have transaction history for about 48 hours)
We have given 759.31020000 SEED away.

The top #5 wallets that the seeds have fallen into and the amount of seeds they will be getting.
#1   sU82EE5JeS1wHL4WZimk2V58WTKEG3peGU   17.67000000
#2   sK6kP8HUPrvRYQQ2sdHNzmqpW1tQTy34Zj   17.67000000
#3   sckWwFNQ74BYWitBvVvnCk4aYnDc3q6KPh   16.95000000
#4   sXktftnjns5yt4qQAYsS2uMEQ53Vpobovw           15.02000000 <- This wallet has 50 coins. is getting 15+ more
#5   sWATgKLBVexD3zizvdV8BTQUHmHHTdY8Fh   14.99001000
* You can view the whole list and totals here. http://seed-coin.com/forest/

The full idea, would be to have each large wallet that drops seeds, to drop at something like a 75/25, or 50/50 chance they sprout a branch (keep the stake) or drop a seed (lose the stake). With less than 200 wallets staking, only the #1 drops seeds at 100%. Once there are 200 wallets, now the top 2 wallets will begin dropping seeds. 500 wallets, top 3 drop. etc...

Would love for Cryptzo to pipe in on this one.

EDIT: I am not going to dev too much. This is a pretty simple script, that requires me to manually send transactions at the end of the week. I said my wallet was off the market, and that I'd fund bounties etc.. But nothing has come up about bounties, giveaways, so I thought this idea would be better.

For a moment I thought the idea of giving away 90% was about to take shape... you know, to be able to create a (small) community out of nothing; some value, real value, out of nothing.

But, of course, I was wrong. Another idiotic scheme to try and keep engaged a few losers still believing in this piece of shit... while inflicting the ultimate strokes into Pink coin at the same time.

Masterful, Fayoling, you are a genius indeed.

Such a genius that you are going to have the dubious honor of driving to the ground two coins at the same time.

Congrats in advance.

Weren't you saying that they needed to be destroyed? Personally this reads like you want to buy cheap and then have the top holders destroy all their coins and give way the rest so that you would control the majority.

Why should he give away all the coins to people who will most likely just dump them when he can use them to reward anybody who stakes. More incentive for people to get into Seed and start staking supporting the coin to get a bonus then to just give them away to dumpers.

As has been stated many times if you have no interest in Seed why continue to strategize and post? (Yes you supposedly have a large stake of Pink but judging by you dissatisfaction of the Devs in the Pink thread why don't you just stop the FUD storm and do something that makes you happy in life)

Just to clarify a point I made days ago regarding that I saw "a slight opportunity when (not if) markrt cap goes under $10k..." That statement was made under the assumption that, long before now, fayoling and his four co-holdrrs of 60% of thevtotal coins would have already donated and burned 90% of their coins...WHICH IS THE ONLY POSSIBLE WAY FOR SEED TO SURVIVE. If 10% of those 1.7+ million coins are donated for future projects and ghe other 1.5 + million are destroyed, then there' a small, remote chance of survival for SEED. Otherwise nine whatsoever at all.
Reason being, obviously, a supportive community and a distribution that makes fair and logical sense.

Any chances of that happening? I'd say slim to none... but i have been wrong before...

One thing's for sure though: the parties have nothing to lose if they do it and potentially quite a bit to gain; not diing it is losing it all for sure.

growth period was finished, there was more sad and less happy moment. coz every one won't get that exact 269% of stake, ( included me coz i also cant get that much stake, i try to stake from day 3 WITH small amount of seedcoin) wahtever its a experiment and had fun,, i love it and suppoet this coin,

my question is , why no any word from dev?  where is he and what he doing for forther development of coin? whts the future roadmap of this coin?

Plans for further development and roadmap have been updated in the first post of the ANN

but here it is for you just to keep it easy:

Edit: Saw this in OP: So, how much was raised during ICO & what would the buy wall be at then?
What happens here depends on the success of the ICO. If a minimum of 500 btc is raised during the ICO, 50% will be used to support the price of the entire coinbase. That means that if there is 1,000,000 coins, and 500 BTC was raised, then 250 BTC will be used as a permanent buy wall at 0.00025 BTC. All coins sold into this wall will be destroyed, thus setting a permanant floor that can not be breached for the forseeable future.

There was only around 8 bitcoin raised so there is no wall
who cares about your info that is 110% wrong they got alot more then 8 bitcoin i gave almost 0.50 of a bitcoin myself so you are saying only 16 people invested in this coin i think not and you do not even know how many bitcoins the dev of this coin got him being elusive like bigfoot like he is i do not believe only 8 bitcoins tell i see proof

Just answering his question, if you don't know the answer how do you know it is 110% wrong.  Also you are saying only 16 people invested based off your investment. Some people might have spent 1 bitcoin some might have spent 0.001btc

So half the question was will there be a wall no......100% correct, the other half was how much bitcoin was collected a variance of up to 20% off  So my answer was 80+%  correct at 50% of the question so that would be 90% correct. (That means you are 200% wrong by the way)

There was only 67.8566045 SEED sold in the ICO and the majority were all around the 0.1btc mark,  All the rest came from people mining.  And just because you want to hear it from the dev:

From post #319 on page 16 of the thread

It's complicated. It really depends on when you got in on the ICO at this point, and how many you got. Everything aspect of SEED is designed to favor those that got in early. We realized early that the ICO was not going to be as successful as we anticipated we tried halting the price increases, but early investors were less than pleased. We had a quick discussion and it was decided to continue on as planned, basically shooting ourselves in the foot for money. The ICO raised less than 10 BTC. I guarantee the mining rig rental community as a whole is getting paid more than that right now to mine SEED.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SEED] SeedCoin | New Road Map on: October 18, 2014, 08:51:47 AM
What time does the 7 day Growth period end or has it already? So now its 16% anually halving yearly for 5 years? I cant imagine holding for 1 year much less 5!

So here's how I did. Mining only produced .023 so I bought .52 from bittrex sadly at .0677 ouch!.. but at that point it was low, it kept fluctuating up .08 to .1 BTC the previous days so seemed like a steal at the time. With that .543 SEED staking from Friday 10th, when I updated wallet Saturday to 1.0.5 I received 2.26 SEED shortly after, so I bought 2 more from Bittrex that to my dismay only cost .0035 each! So with the 4.8 staking (I realize the 2 I last bought req 24h before staking itself) now I have 960 SEED! Which is nice, however the price on bittrex now is 3k~4000 sat, which honestly means I'm only breaking even from my initial & subsequent investment in this 269% daily venture Huh

So the question I pose is do you think it will rise or crash from here for those holding for 16%? Hold or Fold?

Do you suppose it would be just as advantageous to regularly regroup chunks during the next phase where staking gets you 16% a year? How often?

Yes might as well combine everything into 1 so it stakes faster (doesn't really matter now if you lose a day at 16% per annum)
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SEED] SeedCoin | 10/11 MANDATORY UPDATE on: October 17, 2014, 02:29:18 PM
Lol call the crypto police. Noobs lost more money than they could afford and now they are crying.  Roll Eyes

It blows my mind that you operate a pool and are acting like this. Grow a set, you're gambling on altcoins not buying savings bonds.

actually - it takes balls to complain pal  and if you mined on my pools you'd know that I stand up for myself and my miners and I don't take shit from anyone.

I've been around here for a long time. Your infantile response doesn't surprise because again you fail to understand the point of my complaint which is simple so since you apparently have the reading comprehension of a 5th grader so I'll spell it out again.

the VALUE of the coin is irrelevant to me and has nothing to do with my complaint. I've said that over and over - my complaint is that the staking process is flawed and I did not get the number of coins promised in the OP - it's as simple as that - you must be a democrat because instead of responding to my complaint youo attempt to change the subject and call me a 'noob' and somehow infer that I'm concerned about losing money - I knew the risk when I invested because I've invested in lots of other coins....my complaint is that the staking process did not work as promised in the OP.

it's as simple as that. I've tried not to use big words that you might now understand.

I believe what they are trying to point out is that, using the same softwares that are made public to everyone, they were able to stake and get their rewards. Staking also is very similar to mining... in that the number of coins is equivalent to your hash rate. The more the hashes are getting into a coin, the more the difficulty is going to be in getting the rewards. It cannot be assumed that the dev is responsible if two people download and use the same software and and followed the same instructions, and if one of them get it right, you cannot disregard that information and say mine did not work. There could be any number of things that you might have occurred from your end.

I think the extra heat you are getting from the others is because you are also a pool owner. It is generally assumed pool owners know the ins and out of how pow and pos all works, etc. If relative newbies are able to get it to work, and a few weren't, then its not the dev who has to shoulder the blame. That is the akin to saying the others who got it to work did so with secret non public software or something to that effect.
I would have to say i disagree with your statement here cause that is wrong

Disagreements are usually followed by a reasoning. Otherwise it is nothing more than a preference. Like I disagree with people who say that apples taste better than an orange. Cant really debate something like that if you know what I mean Smiley "Because that is wrong" is  not an argument either... that is simply circular logic (coke is better than pepsi because pepsi is worse than coke, etc).

Your wrong!  Mangos taste better  Grin
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SEED] SeedCoin | 10/11 MANDATORY UPDATE on: October 17, 2014, 01:46:03 PM
that's the whole point - it's not random and it says this in the OP - the gains were supposed to be even for everyone depending on how many coins you had at the beginning of the staking process and people have been ripped off through the incompetence of the developers.

People who are owed money are as follows:
1) People who invested in the ICO
2) People who rented miners for the initial mining
3) People who used their own mining equipment for mining

in the above order.

So your mad you didn't get your full stake... No body really did except fayoling and most of his coins are going to bettering the community.  Don't forget if everybody got full stakes we would have 10 million+ coins so its fair because we all got probably around 15% of what we were expecting.

No body is owed money especially people who rented mining equipment ( you could have sold right away and made some cash)  If the coin soared would you be telling everybody to give all their money to the Dev because he made an awesome coin? ( and yes I hired miners to mine the coin)

We are not even finished the distribution phase, the dev is still here he has fixed everything lots of factors along the way that he can't control.

Can't believe you run a pool, at least I know why I stick to supernova and such!

you really need to go back and read the OP my friend - there are promises made there and they were not met - it's as simple as that. I speak not only for myself but dozens of pool members who feel ripped off by this whole process,

my complaint has nothing to do with the value of the coin - that was a risk I was always willing to take. My complaint is simple - the staking process did not work as advertised in the OP - that is my complaint.

trust me when I tell you that it gives me no pleasure whatsoever to complain - this was a coin with an ROI promise - not a lottery...

Where does it say the Dev guarantees your return on investment?  All I read is that its 269% daily interest which theoretically has the possibility with a wallet staking all the time to potentially receive 1000 coins from 1

The staking process works, maybe you didn't receive what you assumed you would.  But many people overestimated what they would get (including myself, although I still got more then 1000 to 1 so the staking process was as advertised).  In relation to the actual coin supply you probably ended up with the same percentage share if you did everything correctly.

You understand there was risk, there was opportunity to profit, and your complaining about your stake before staking even finishes.

You then go on to bash the coin saying its a shit coin, while asking the dev for financial compensation for you and all your miners???
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SEED] SeedCoin | 10/11 MANDATORY UPDATE on: October 17, 2014, 10:28:23 AM
I've started a thread here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=826318.new#new

for people who should be offered a refund on their ICO investment

Whether everyone knows it or no0t this entire staking process has not been fair at all and is riddled with problems.

below is an exchange I had this morning with one of the miners on my Pool (where we offered seedcoin)

I've also Posted about Seedcoin in Scam Assusations

Quote
Travis72682-ECHO (about 2 hours ago):
I started with 3.85 and have 16k Tongue But its looking like Im gonna miss the last stake by a couple hours so i think that is my final total

ninja-HBN (6 minutes ago):
this morning I'm up to 5586 seed from 4286 about 9 hours ago

ninja-HBN (5 minutes ago):
Tavis - I can't believe you accumulated so many seed from 3.85 - this just show how fucked up their process is.

ninja-HBN (5 minutes ago):
I started with 3 times that amount you had and will wind up with about 1/3 of your final tally.

A lot of people have been ripped off and I want my ICO Investment Back.

It's random as always, so you cannot really blame them I think. Only if you can show it was intentional, you've got a point.

that's the whole point - it's not random and it says this in the OP - the gains were supposed to be even for everyone depending on how many coins you had at the beginning of the staking process and people have been ripped off through the incompetence of the developers.

Thank you, this is just the sort of thing I need.

More exchanges could help, but getting on bittrex was key. If there was higher volume this might be a big deal, but right now there's not a lot of incentive to trade. This should change near the end of the week as the coin finds its floor;)

Twitter is an excellent way to spread the word through social media. For a lot of people Twitter is their go to place for information, and as new coins trend people there really start to take interest;)

Completely agree all the rest would be great as well;)

Obviously some of the things on the agenda are Mac Wallet (we'd have one by now, but my dev pc took a dump last week. I'm actually doing everything with my laptop now. No I didn't lose any code.), android wallet, etc. I'm planning to completely overhaul the UI design for *user friendliness*. Yes that means I'm not going for resource heavy bling, or awkward custom bordered wallets. I want easy to use.

In the long term (6+ months) maybe doing something cool for people that missed this growth period. Celebrate with a 10% growth day or something. I don't know. Depends on the community sentiment for the idea.

I'm going to go back and make the shadowcoin messaging system easier to use and more intuitive (it does work, after all) and fix the stealth address issue, providing the a reasonable option for anonymous sending and receiving.

Something I really want to get into, but wont happen for quite some time in light of all the issues that we have previously faced, is redesigning how the blockchain is stored and managed across the network so that it isn't just so heavy on storage resources, and for compatability purposes, I'd look to have both versions fully compatible with eachother and able to run side by side.

Another thing I want to do is look into eliminating change addresses as the default, and instead make transaction change feed back into the address it came from, similar to what happens when coins stake (they get sent to their originating address). This design would make wallet portability and backups much more dependable and allow coins stored on paper wallets to send only a portion of their coins at a time.

I'm also looking at things like 2FA, USB authentication (to allow the option of unlocking your wallet by, say, plugging a usb stick that has a special key on it, or your mobile phone), and multi-option authentication, so you could possibly set your wallet to only unlock with both a password and a usb key, or even set both, but only require one or the other. Obviously each would have its advantages and disadvantages, but I like providing options, and not everyone likes having to use a password to unlock their wallet.

Another thing I'd like to add is the ability to share coins with other devices that you own. For example - suppose you could go to your main wallet on your PC, and set up an address in it called 'Mobile Phone', and any coins you sent to that address still remained in your primary wallet, but were also accessible from your mobile phone. And what if all you had to do in order to load that wallet onto your phone was to load it via a qr code that you could only access once you had properly authenticated?

Building up funds for an exchange buywall that functions the same way, or similar to how it was described in the ICO is something else I'm heavily contemplating. The possibility of backing the coin with resources that have stable value (I like the idea of seeds!) is awesome I think. I'm also very charitably minded, but I believe we need to build value for seed before we can build resources that we can afford to donate to charity. Like my grandfather always told me growing up, you have to be able to take care of yourself before you can take anyone else.

I have lots of ideas that I plan on working on. I'm going to spend the next day or so putting some serious thought into how long they would take for me to implement, test, and introduce through a reasonable alpha-beta-release cycle. I plan on having a Roadmap together for everyone to look at on Tuesday or Wednesday.

All suggestions are welcome, and I'm happy to take them on board.

At the end of the day my primary expertise is in development and customer service. I'm not a big advertising guru, nor do I have much experience in design or multimedia. Having a logo contest sounds like a great idea, I love contests;)

For everybody saying the Dev has no plans after growth....

Hi,
what does it mean when it says "you dont have mature coins"?
i bought some from bittrex and put them in a wallet.

will they mature?

I asked the same question 4 days ago and the answere was the same as in the previous post: Wait 24 hour and you'll get your stake.

They mature in 24 hours you still have to compete to stake that's just when they are eligible to start staking.

My guess is with all the new seeds its taking a lot longer to find blocks now.  I started the day with 600 seed and have only managed to stake 4 times so far about 30 seeds worth (with between 1500 and 3000 confirmations).  Its not automatic 24 hours then you get your stake, its 24 hours then you get to compete to get a stake and its a bit sporadic.  Will be quite interesting to see the total at the end of the growth period!

Also you think Wagner and Maxwell injured cost us the game?

I think it most definitely did,  wagner is the heart and brain of the seahawks D. losing him was a huge blow.

I thought so too a lot of holes they got through was all spots Wagner normally is although a lot of outside runs get shut down By Maxwell instead of picking up 10 yards.  On top of that with Chancellor playing injured is making me a bit nervous this season.  I think there is something there keeping quite about Lynch as well.....

Oh well cant say i am happy, not just the price falling to near nothing already but being i put in the same amount as the PINK guy

He apparently got 10 seeds at 0.1 = he now has 3600+
                   I got 10 seeds at 0.1 i have about 250+

Seems like a total scam now, it looked good till the dev let the pink guys own the coin and get AMAZING staking advantage, as day ago one of the fixes was to make sure his first day 900 held down so we caught up wasn't it?

In the real world this would be insider trading and possible fines or jail time where i live

Shame i think we all just wasted time and money now with the new race to the bottom well on its way.

The DEV even admitted that 5 or so people had told him what they would do to manipulate the staking days before it was out, and he forgot to tell all the mugs? (mugs = all of us that will lose)

I can BS on all levels now, from scam to insider trading and no TESTING!! or maybe testing in the PINK guys advantage, i just cant see how i brought the same amount and guys have 10 times+ what i do, its call BS, BS on all the different wallets and do this do that, BS for people that didnt stake at all yet as they brought in and still have no idea what a load of shit has been going on.

Good lessen but, stay the fuck away from PINK and SEED both seem to be scammers, but one day they get whats coming, karma is a bitch

I understand your frustration, I had 15 seed that is now "only" 350 seed- I was the # 6 wallet b4 the growth period, I'm now the #22 wallet. here is my address sb8nTWouADNjBHQpViGH8gpZ7rPcDrgTiu -- I know that barrabas says this isn't "proof" that I may have more wallets, but I do not. I have just this 1 wallet, just this 1 address. you can check it  on the block explorer under largest wallets tab here https://chainz.cryptoid.info/seed/#!wallets

I take it that you, like me staked a bit during PoW to try to cut down the overall supply of the coins
all I can say is some people did their research and played the game better then I did, I can't be mad all I can say is that Fayoled played the game very well and kept the info from his research to himself to better his position, which was the best thing he could've done imo.
we are all here competing against eachother to gain the biggest market share of the coin. had he shared his info he wouldn't have had the advantage he does now, there would be MANY more coins in the supply thus dilluting his share.
