61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SEED] SeedCoin | Buy/Mine SEED & Grow Coinbase | Mining Period Started on: October 05, 2014, 11:47:44 AM

exactly - sorry about your experience on Betarigs - I have rented from them also in the past and it's hit or miss - especially with the one's that say "they're monitored' then YOU have to tell them their machine is down and not mining. My experience has been that most of the renters there will give you extra hours but that does not make up for lost opportunity when the difficulty was low when mining started. I grabbed two blocks in the first 5 minutes before network hash skyrocketed. IMHO - the value they have set on the coin right now warrants about least 80 to 100 Gh/s to make it much harder to get - but that's the investor in me speaking. My pool miners are thrilled the network hash is as low as it is because people with 4 and 5 Mh/s are still getting a piece of the pie.

ps: I got in very early, but it's still painful to see people accumulating coins with such little hash.

Ah no worries mate, I have rented heaps of times with Beta Rigs it is normally pretty good, and so far if there has been a major problem they have generally taken care of it, it is just waste time though.  When I first saw seed it was in the first day but I thought it may be cheaper to mine then to buy so I waited.  Not so sure that was the best plan but we shall see if I come out further ahead or not.  If you got in when the ICO first opened I think it would have been pretty well set with out the hassel of rental mining.  But either way hopefully SEED will become successful!

1) are miners the luckiest people in the world right now with this coin

or

2) did I (we) pay way too much for this coin during the ICO

I ask because I got in on the ICO and I am also a mining this coin right now.

In 12 hours mining with 260 MH/s of mining power I mined the equivalent of what I paid $275 for during the ICO.

and of course to put that in perspective - on a good day I would make $60 mining other coins with my 260 Mh/s --- so to think that I just made $275 mining SEED with my 260 Mh/s of mining power is very troublesome to say the least as an investor in this coin.

I never imagined it would be so easy for miners to mine the equivalent of what I paid so much for and we're only on block 880 right now....

this is not looking good...

Was block 880 a typo because both the wallet and the pools I looked at said 855?

We're on Block 856 now

I think that makes his point worse as there is more blocks to come, however to answer I think it depends when you bought in... the first day or the last day.

Also depends if you rented a rig, A) how much you paid per GH and B) if it produced.  One miner I rented on Betarigs was a 300 MH Rig and it was offline and never produced any hash so mining isn't without its complications.  However Hopefully they will refund my money but I lost the opportunity and had my bitcoin tied up.

Anybody know what the final ICO price was per seed?  Was it 0.94 btc per seed?

Big props to all the Pinkcoin Devs, after reading everything I can only say Thank you for continuing to develop new features for the community!  Whether or not it is appreciated by others or not I think the majority really appreciate everything you guys do!

Just a quick note on Developers "profiting" on leasing technology, Just a quick reminder that not only are they donating their time, effort and skills into developing new projects but domains, hosting and servers all cost money to keep maintained.  Please don't expect the devs to pay for EVERYTHING both with time and money, as I highly doubt their is much Net profit after all the expenses!
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SSD] Sonic - 1st TOR with functional anon send - Steganography based Anon App on: October 03, 2014, 07:36:08 AM
Pretty awesome coin guys!

A question about the Steganography, will it have to be a picture/file that is sent between two parties or could one person post an Encrypted photo on say instagram or Pin it or any classified site and as long as the receiver of it has the private key and know which photo it is they can go and retrieve their coins?

Thanks

The instagram angle might be a fun novelty for some.  Twitter bots and Reddit tips have already broken the social media barrier...no one has tried Instagram.    Not sure how many people in Crypto use Instagram but...just a thought...

Not just a novelty though it could make it much harder to track payments if you don't know what site they are going through, and when sites have millions of photos loaded everyday it would be tricky to find one that also has some money in it!

Although I could see the novelty in taking a photo of your food and funding the encrypted photo so you can literally pay for your food with a photo of your food lol.

it could probably be able to be setup like that. as it currently is though there is a time element to the encoded transaction.

I like that idea though. Using a .jpg for cold storage could be an interesting idea too.

Hmmm... interesting.

It would likely be really sensitive to corruption though, right?

What about using a program like stealth files to hide the address, test the photo or video for anomalies and as long as none are found fund the address, as that would not only hide the address in what ever media but allow you to password protect it as well.  Can it still corrupt or would it be safe?

Thanks for the answers so far, if SSD can get this side of the Steganography working across all social media platforms it would definitely be a top level anon coin completely different to all other anon coins!

And then the wallet will be release so we can start staking? Smiley

regards Anoxy

You got it Wink

Does the staking begin as soon as the wallet is released or is their going to be a mining period as stated in the original post (or will it be both POW and POS at the same time?)

Is Cryptzo the only developer or is their a team behind you? (Doing the actual developing for the coin, not including the Pink coin dev team)

What's the plan for the coin?  Other then trying to be a fair distribution what will be the selling features of the coin?

Will there be mining pools up when the POW mining phase starts?

Thanks

Wow $4 each lol I hope by then it doesn't cost $100 for a loaf of bread!

Anyways taken a bit of a break but to the Pink Coin team keep up the Exceptional work fellas!

Words

I did not mean you in general, just the fact that the rake feels too high means there are some negative feelings. And anyone that knows me, knows that I dislike anyone feeling negative due to anything I have done.

[EDIT] The freeroll last week was 100,000 and this week it's for 50,000 PINK. We will also, hopefully in a few hours be adding a bunch more tournaments, which will include a daily freeroll, probably between 1 - 10k. [/EDIT]

And trust me when I say "I appreciate" the feedback. Like you said, it is BETA, and this requires your feedback.

[EDIT]
We added a freeroll tournament for every day.
You can now turn auto muck off = Lobby -> options -> table settings -> auto muck on/off
You can now send chips to other players. = Lobby -> Account -> Transfer chips

[/EDIT]

I figured as much just wanted to make sure  Grin

http://playpoker.pink/ update

The rake on our heads up ring games has been decreased to 1.5%.

We have added another 24 freeroll tournaments for 100 PINK. These new ones are all Pot Limit Omaha. So there are now freeroll tournaments every 30 minutes. No buyin, just register, play and win some Pinkcoin.

We will continue building tables, tournaments etc..
Just let us know what everyone wants and we will get it done.

Thanks for all the feedback so far.

Awesome! Now as word spreads I can't wait to see everybody online

Also Great work Devs on the Sync partnership love to see more and more happening!
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Revamped PinkCoin (PC / PINK) PoS | Multipool | Fundraiser | Anonymous on: September 09, 2014, 01:10:23 AM
I did a bunch of reading up on rakes last night. 2.5% seems to be the lowest rake out there by any site, so we thought we were doing everyone a favour as per the usual #pinkway. However, I did see quite a few things and systems that did change the rake depending on the size of the table, and the amount of players. Which makes sense, if there are only 2 people playing, even a low rake of 2.5% adds up quite quickly.

I have definitely been looking at different system setups, some with rakeback, others with VIP groups. So I appreciate your suggestions here Beecoinfan, gives me a little more of a narrow gap as to what I should be looking at here.

We are Pinkcoin, and by no means do we ever, ever want people to feel like they are on the wrong side of a bad deal. Luckily we have some poker players on our team, and even more poker players in the community, so I have no doubt once all is said and done, we will be the most fair poker out there. This is just how we do things here at Pinkcoin.

Keep letting us know your opinions, and suggestions. We will keep developing and working on this until everyone is so excited about it that you invite your Grandparents to play a couple hands with you Wink

Definitely don't feel like I am on the wrong side of a bad deal, just since we're in Beta thought some constructive feedback from a different point of view might help to improve pink poker  Grin

Overall though LOVE, LOVE, LOVE all the work you guys have put into making it a reality and it seems everyday there is more and more people trying it out.

Maybe once people realize that there is a freeroll where they can WIN FREE PINK coins just by coming out to play there will be a lot more!  (Once they play they will be hooked and have to get some pinkcoin lol)  Just out of curiosity how much is the prize for the freeroll, I couldn't find it in the tournament info?

75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Revamped PinkCoin (PC / PINK) PoS | Multipool | Fundraiser | Anonymous on: September 08, 2014, 04:23:38 AM
Just played a few sessions...and is it me or is the rake insanely high? Especially given the fact that there are a very limited number of PinkCoins in existence. If the site ever becomes big, the rake is going to soak up all the coins.

Hey guys I was playing poker with cryptoholic11 in 250/500 and it seemed to us the rake may be a tad high.  Not sure if this will change with more players or if you guys are working out an awesome frequent player points program.  I know its only 2.5% but maybe lowering it incrementally from the higher blinds as its quite a bit of pink to be losing in one hand when chips are just going back and forth (even though its larger amounts).

For example with the 250/500 generally the minimum pot to start was 2000 so the rake takes 50 chips

where as the 5/10 generally starts at around  40 so the rake is 1 chip

So with only 2 players at 30 seconds a hand before even betting the flop its minimum 6000 pink an hour where as the 5/10 is only 120 pink an hour.

As more players start playing I think it could be good to lower the rake on the higher tables so their is a bit more incentive to play at the higher tables longer.  Just my opinion (although I do really enjoy the poker, just need more players online playing!)

Also would love to see a feature where you can send chips to other players in game! (not sure if its possible, so if somebody needs a few more chips for a tourney buy-in we can help them out!)

Thanks for all the positive feedback on our poker everyone. We will definitely be continuing development to allo custom avatars and other settings adjustments for each individual player.

Are you guys interested in trying to join the super network?

I have read up on this, but am quite confused by it. You are not the first person to mention this, so if it is something that the community really wants, we will ovbiously take action.

Poker looks good so far, just waiting for somebody to come play so I can actually try it out lol

Got to play a bit, Very nice work gentlemen!

My thought with the Pick'em style is that it takes the full management out of it. You pick games each week for the winner and get points. Allow anyone who just likes to watch it play and not have to dedicated life to fantasy =)

Maybe We will do both! As we have just under a couple weeks to sort it out.

count me in! what are the stakes?

What about 10k pink entry; then prizes can be split depending on entrants like 90/15/5 or 70/20/10 for the winner at the end of the year.

For tipping I was thinking between 1k-5k a week and have just a weekly winner so when you submit picks then you can win that week (so if you go on holidays or something you can opt out for a couple weeks)  Also thinking that we could do it where there is an extra 50 sats on the entry fee example 1000 + 50 where the 50 from each fee goes to build a pot so at the end of the year whoever has the most correct picks wins the "Jackpot" to encourage/reward those that play all year.

Also for those interested in doing fantasy would you prefer draft or auction style?

and Lastly for the prize money I came up with three options (assuming you guys want me to run the comps):
1) I hold it and distribute it out to the winner
2) I hold the amount and distribute it but also I send a dev an amount of pink coins as collateral that I get back at the end of the comp (say we have 20 entrants tipping at 1k and 10 entrants in fantasy at 10k I send a dev 120,000 so everybody knows their is collateral for their deposits)
3) A dev holds and distributes the prizes.

As it can take up a bit of time and I want to minimize the amount of work on the devs I think option 1 or 2 is the best but will go with whatever the community wants!  Let me know ASAP and Will try to start getting it all set up! (note I'm not a coder so I can make anything fancy will probably be using NFL.com to register the fantasy league and have a couple Ideas for the tipping)

Lol anybody???

WOW!

SUMGYE ,TRANZIUM, FAYOLING,  CRYPTOCAYCE,  SONYSASANKAN,  OWL,  BOXXA and the rest of the Pink army!

You guys are amazing, I can't believe how great you have made and continue to make pink coin.

For any new investors reading, do some research read the thread I have yet to see a more fun, innovative, honest and happy group of Devs!

I can't wait to use all the new features (I had a bit of a break and a few computer troubles but downloading the new wallet now and should be enrolling for pink millionaires club soon)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now I know you have been super busy but I was wondering how Pay with Pink was going (if it is still happening)?

Who runs the blog daily pinkcoin? (I Wouldn't mind helping out writting a few articles to be posted if I had limited access as it hasn't been updated since June and I don't want you guys to have to waste time repeating the same info in multiple places!)

Any PINK NFL fans? Interested in a fantasy league or tipping competition?

I could play some FF for some PINK or to get more people involved, a weekly pick'em game that is played with PINK. Each week we have a winner and the most points at the end of the year.

Anybody else interested? won't be to much fun if its just Boxxa and I
