I'll throw 10 ltc down to help start your house pool. I checked out the site blog and seen some of the small SEO sites you have done for whatever it is the specific keywords you choose, I didn't check into that, just seen theme and design, respect what you are doing as I just like clean and nice looking things online that still can provide content of some kind, even if it is just linking back to other articles.    Also I like Black Jack.  And good auto carpets Wink

When will the price of this technology drop to realistic levels.  Are there no big big companies that want to push something good for everyone?   So much free energy wasted every day
183  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Get 10x 1BTC for free - Free promotion for bitcoins newbies on: February 07, 2012, 02:03:00 PM
I signed up.  BitcoinPorn.  I have no balance, and I am not sure where the fun games are differentiated from the regular games, which I hope are fun too lol.   Lots of copyright infringement here, I love it.  I would be careful with the connection to a specific exchange though.
184  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Intersango VS Mt.Gox on: February 07, 2012, 01:50:31 PM
It's probably best to open an account with both of them

If anyone is into the trading and exchanges of currencies, you should have an account on every single exchange that you can get on, with low funding in all of them.  These aren't banks people, you are limiting who and when you can trade with if you are only in one exchange.
185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A Complete Guide to (Litecoin too) P2Pool - link on: February 07, 2012, 01:39:23 PM
I am still so interested in P2Pool mining, seems the logical way for a lot of people to mine.  Not for everyone, but I see it as a great tool.   I need a free hour to set up that Linux one, I put Linux on a laptop a while ago, but could never get my wireless card drivers to work properly and hate being cabled in to anything, so ended up never fucking with it again.  Anyways, thanks for posting this, hopefully more users will join.
186  Other / Off-topic / Re: btjunkie.org is gone :-( on: February 07, 2012, 01:32:05 PM
Theymos, I think more of you!  Google is the best torrent search in the world.  Plus with cached pages, you can sometimes get torrent files and magnet links that may have been hidden or gone, but still have seeded files.

You can basically type anything you like, add ".torrent" to the end of the query, and be good.   Still, did not know BTJunkie shut down, sad to hear about that honestly, but let the hydra begin if companies think that shutting down individual sites is going to effect the overall mode of obtaining media that we all have grown to love.

Found new girls, trying em out. Wink

I'm here for BitcoinPorn's audition, too. I wonder which one of us he'll pick.

 Cheesy

On a related observation. Whatever happened to Vladimir? We could start a thread just on MIA Bitcoiners?

He is a wise man who does not accept the risks involved with posting on the Bitcointalk.org forums based on security and other reasons too long to list here, it goes into the owners and runners of Bitcointalk among other things.  I'll always love this place, but there is definitely aspects that people should keep themselves aware about as far as monopolies in the communities go.  Not to answer for the guy, but I remember it definitely was a big motivation to make better forums and more Bitcoin communities, Vlad is the man.

I highly recommend everyone get an account there to have the ability to communicate with more than just the people on these forums.

And for no reason, everyone should always check /r/Bitcoin http://reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/ (modded by Theymos)

Remember to tune into BitTalk.TV with an interview with Bitcoinica founder Zhou Tong https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=57212.0
189  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Monopolies - Exchanges, News Services, Mining Pools, Dir List Sites, ... on: January 17, 2012, 01:34:22 PM
Glad to see the replies, definitely a few things I didn't know and will be checking out.

One big one I forgot, the great Vladimir who started the Bitcoin Forums, also runs with Vladimir's Bitcoin Information Security Consulting Service.  I want to say there is a mining pool as well, but I am not sure if that is still up.

Another big one, the great Matthew N Write https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=24749 of Bittalk.Tv http://BitTalk.TV , tune into it daily Wink also runs with DialCoin https://dialcoin.com/, Bitcoins in 30 seconds, worldwide.  I just wanted to give a quick shoutout to Matt for having two taglines that are not necessarily catchy, but way memorable, as I remembered both those lines right after thinking of the sites they are part of without having to look it up.

DialCoin is and features seal.

Couple of other projects I am exploring - I mean why wouldn't you Wink

I know I did get into multiple things when I had the time, hard not to love and want to make better so many facets of Bitcoin, if I had more time I think I would double genjix' list lol

I read this post and see my Bitcion ticker showing 22.65.  The things that happen when you walk away from your computer for a bit.
192  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin Monopolies - Exchanges, News Services, Mining Pools, Dir List Sites, ... on: January 16, 2012, 09:14:12 PM
Is there a listing of people or groups of people that have investments in Bitcoin in multiple fields.   We are an unregulated decentralized entity here, so I know there is no regulation for such thing, and there is definitely nothing wrong with a person wanting to invest fully in Bitcoin, so then of course investing in many aspects of it only seems natural for overall growth of just Bitcoin itself.  However, I still would like to know if there is a list out there of this.  For example, off the top of my head,

the founder (Flexcoin) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=21002 runs with Flexcoin, the Bitcoin Bank http://www.flexcoin.com/
also runs with http://www.tribbleagency.com/

genjix https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1931 runs with Intersango, https://intersango.com/
He also runs with https://bitcoinmedia.com

I already forget what Mt Gox has bought, I remember MtGoxLive of course, there was Bitomat, but I thought there were others too.

I always kind of noticed the exchanges stuff, but I was just wondering if there is anyone from the Mining Pools that is involved in other facets of Bitcoin?   Same with directory listing sites?   If you own a Bitcoin store, are you also involved in something else completely?
193  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitTalk.TV Interview with Zhou Tong of Bitcoinica.com on: January 16, 2012, 08:59:39 PM
You sure?

Definition of infamous : deserving of or causing an evil reputation; shamefully malign; detestable, having an extremely bad reputation.
I am 100% not sure of the text book definition, all I know of is used around me, based on that only.  I can see the actual one having a way more negative connotation.  Even going by that though, I definitely have seen posts that were too keen on Bitcoinica, but I really feel those were the people who put money in that did not read the manual first to see what they were getting into.
194  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in tv show -The Good Wife - Episode 3.13 - Finding Mr. Bitcoin on: January 16, 2012, 08:56:00 PM
All the major networks do (except Discovery, and I rue them for it).  I often watch shows I am interested in on the web now, instead of on their timetable.  I think the last major network show that I didn't find hosted at their own website was American Idol, and for good reason

Amazingly, even though the download link was ready for The Good Wife right before air, I went ahead and watched it on TV.  So weird, as I'm like you, I've switched to online watching only, with my laptop ready to be docked to my tv and sound system for big viewing of anything on the laptop in the living room.  It was neat to have breaks in between the show, these things called 'commercials' I forgot about lol, it allowed me to check Bitcointalk before hearing the show was back on in the other room.

I still prefer just having shows running non stop on a laptop next to me and I just work and do things around that then it be the focus, but it was very retro to watch a tv show with commercials again.   I feel a shift in the way media is distributed is going to be forced sooner than later, I have already got two friends to purchase TB external hard drives to watch shows off of.  It isn't hard to convince them of commercial free, when you want, just plug it in your PS3 or 360.
195  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitTalk.TV Interview with Zhou Tong of Bitcoinica.com on: January 16, 2012, 08:50:31 PM
Infamous?

Are you sure the word is correct? (I made this language mistake in an exam before.)

I think infmaous is the perfect word.   Your site is definitely known for being attached to Gox and having crazy numbers right away and of course, the site by the young kid.   The more people that know about things regarding your site but probably don't even understand how it works, infamous is a great word.

The fact that you keep pushing through all these little things and keep focus on your project and making sure it is the best service using the tools that are available, will hopefully make you famous.
196  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in tv show -The Good Wife - Episode 3.13 - Finding Mr. Bitcoin on: January 16, 2012, 08:46:49 PM
Apparently the US is hated. It is no longer available.

Watching in another window right now from that link, try again.    I am not sure if I am surprised or not that a full tv show, not just clips, is put online on their own website after the show airs that quickly, but maybe that is a commonplace now in days?   Smart of CBS to do it on their own site rather than cough up money to Hulu I guess.
197  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in tv show -The Good Wife - Episode 3.13 - Finding Mr. Bitcoin on: January 16, 2012, 08:26:47 PM
did we ever figure out who is Robert Taylor who gave that interview to Bruce Wagner last week?  he never actually said he was an actor did he?

I've read his name I think about three times from you, I now believe you are Robert trying to promote yourself  Cheesy   jk, I checked the episode of the Bitcoin Show earlier when you had posted and I did not immediately recognize that guy either, but I will be rewatching The Good Wife tonight.  I didn't hear the whole interview, so I didn't catch his relation to the show or cast or anything, I just figured he might be one of the writers friends and does walk on parts or something.
198  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I talked with Amazon Live Support today... on: January 16, 2012, 08:23:32 PM
I like that letter.   I think ThinkGeek is a decent enough target, though I don't like helping Memory Dealers competition Wink , I definitely would try and swing for the fences making sure the message is understood that though Bitcoin has a market that fluctuates, as long as they use an instant service of some kind to exchange Bitcoin for cash on their end immediately, they will never have to care about the Bitcoin market at all, and get all the other benefits.
199  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in tv show -The Good Wife - Episode 3.13 - Finding Mr. Bitcoin on: January 16, 2012, 03:19:04 PM

also, it turns out he's luke's father

The guy who is trying to stop SolidCoin and kill 'other' coins has his dad involved too?  What a soap opera
200  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I talked with Amazon Live Support today... on: January 16, 2012, 03:05:15 PM
I like the offer of emailing the people who have Bitcoin interest.  I believe that is something they would take note of, as they will want to have a targeted mass marketing email to promote if it were to happen, and the best audience is of course the people who were requesting it.  If you have an Amazon account, ask that they 'note' on your account or whatever it is payment feature request and you would like to be notified when it happens.
