can i have a downloadable google docs file, please?

See first post third line below the pictures.

Still do not really understand why X13 is not covered more thoroughly (on the cost of leaving out very similarly productive scrypt pools)...  Grin

Started                                 Rated price (BTC/MH/day)    Rent time (hours)    Amount (BTC)    Mining rig rented
Fri Jun 27 21:34:42 UTC 2014            0.00130000                        150              0.20068751    CheapFlatPrice (X13 24.70 MH/s)

Leaserig still rocks sometimes. (Probably you have to be really lucky too.) Above is just off your charts with 0.00537 BTC/scryptMH/d. (Should be 0.0068 BTC/scryptMH/d if taking into account power consumption.)

Also, MiningRigRental does a great job too adding new algos pretty early. X15, Nist5, Groestl. Also with some very crazy rent prices going on there.

I hear ya, and I'll probably remove CoinShift soon, however that won't help much with other algos - I'm using ASICs for scrypt mining so the best I can do is replace one Scrypt pool with another.

As for X13 et al I'll be adding some soon (likely within ~ a week), but I hope eventually most of that mess will be replaced with improved multialgo swithing tools so that we could track overall pool profitability as opposed to having multiple numbers for each pool.

Crazy rental deals however is another story. Might not be easy to replicate so not that useful to someone else. I have some plans in that area too but I need to give it some more thought.

Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it.

I love your work!
I guess I may be similar to other people where they have this question buzzing around in their head: "What should I do with my GPU rig to obtain best profit?" Your thread is answering a little bit more specific question: "Which pool should I choose to obtain best profit with my Scrypt (ooooh, now converted to ... algo) mining rig?" You reply to the latter question very well, there is no question about it. Smiley
(Well, including scrypt.cc is mixing this picture up a bit... Smiley)

May be relevant. I saw this comment in "official" v5 sgminer thread:

Cgwatcher is driving me crazy! Why I can't use it with the new miner? It's overiding my settings and creates ckolivas bin instead the darkcoin bin..

I constantly had the same issue. No matter how well I did my conf file to point to the right kernel, it always used ckolivas somehow. But always tried with Cgwatcher only, never run the stuff from cmd prompt. I am now rented out for the whole day, but suchmoon this could also help you out although you never stated your type of problem with v5.

This is a very messy topic, but you may be able to get out latest essentials for some more speed bump for X11 and X13.
With 14.6 RC driver Gigabyte R9280x now does 4,35 MHs on X11 stable and 3,1 MHs on X13 (stability IDK).
Draws the same power as latest versions. 1450 W for 8 cards in 2 rigs.

This is different from V5 sgminer as I had spent time with it but still no luck.

Thank you for posting this. I've been keeping an eye on these developments but still haven't decided if I want to sacrifice a rig or two to try 14.6.

One of my rig took stupidly insane time to upgrade to 14.6.
Uninstall+Install still left 13.2 as a driver of each card (later seen in Device manager) and kept (reinstalled FFS!) the old AMD package. Yes, I used the 310MB file from AMD 14.6RC link.
Uninstall+Removing AMD folders still did the same.
Uninstall+Removing AMD folders + Ccleaner still no success.
Uninstall+Removing AMD folders + Removing many AMD references from regedit + CCleaner + Uninstalling cards one by one from Device manager did the thing.
I lost one full day almost. These installs take ages...

(My other rig conversion went smoothly to 14.6 maybe due to the reason it was perfectly upgraded (simple uninstall+install) to 14.4 few days earlier.)

Hey, gotta problem with my 5x280x rig. Always, after some time, one card will report as DEAD and then i cant close miner after some trying computer totally freezes. Using latest v5 build. stock clocks. Any ideas? Should update to 14.6 driver?
My 4x r9280x rig did similar with one card too. It did not go DEAD, but stopped hashing in reality while it still showed similar speed as earlier. Temp went down, fan stopped correspondingly.
Lowering the Mem speed of only that given single card solved the issue.

OK, guys, sorry to ask such a recap question but I missed some discussion here for some time:
What would be the fastest combination for Gigabyte R9280x cards in terms of kernel/driver/config/sgminer?
Currently I have W7 64bit with 14.6 driver, 4.1 sgminer and getting 2.55 MHs for each card with below.

"worksize" : "256,256,256,256",
"kernel" : "x13mod,x13mod,x13mod,x13mod",
"lookup-gap" : "0,0,0,0",
"thread-concurrency" : "8193,8193,8193,8193",
"shaders" : "0,0,0,0",
"gpu-threads" : "2,2,2,2",
"gpu-engine" : "1090,1090,1090,1090",
"gpu-memclock" : "1500,1500,1500,1500",

"x13mod" means the 31 kB (older) version.
This newer "X13mod" did not compile with some crazy error message (Some function made error at some specific line during compile.)

I can see people reporting 2.7 MHs for the same card. Can you point me to the right files and examples please?

He didn't really spam it for no reason. Someone said they had trouble registering on the site, he gave an alternative.

Not really an alternative, the referral leads to the same registration page and has nothing of value for the person who had the problem. Spamming is a subtle business if done properly, this was not it  Grin

Anyway, back on topic - forget coinking and everything, RENT YOUR RIGS OUT WHILE YOU CAN Smiley. Scrypt prices are way up. Although it's funny how 0.003 seems a good deal now.
0.003 is actually below my power cost... Sad
Even 0.006xx on X11 algo is getting close to my power costs.

I am preparing to sell off. Anyone interested PM me! R9 280x units on the sale!

Coinking website does nothing for me when I try to register. The Register Now button does nothing. Strange.

That's odd. Try this link (don't)

Oh FFS. It's fair game to have a referral link in your sig. It's uncool to just spam it for no good reason.

Luckily I have a 15+ years old habit of reading through URLs before clicking them... Wink
Sorry if you feel I was spamming (which I was not). I am a long standing member, and someone said they could not get CoinKing link to register. I clicked and checked my link and it was working properly, so I posted it for him.  I guess I could  have said use the link in my sig. and it will work for you, but didn't realize putting the actual link with helpful advice would get people mad.  I know what spam is, like pool ops posting every page. My help was far from spam.
[/quote]

I didn't take that as spam. Anyway, the problem was solved by then. Leaserig and Coinking made some deal and made me a Coinking user because of being a Leaserig provider. Without knowing this I tried to register on Coinking and got no response whatsoever when I wanted to register. That was very strange. Then I just gambled and clicked "Lost password" route and learned I am already a user. Stupid web designer. Also, the inner pages of Coinking are somewhat crazy to navigate.

Mining x13 in www.coinking.io multipool seems to be giving higher profitability then other pool.

Mining X11 coins on this pool is shit, not sure how you think X13 would fair better when I get these results..

I switched over to this pool last night at approx 8pm, time now is 10:40am next morning.

14 hours of mining at approx 100MH has made made approx $10.00

If I mined Darkcoin straight out I would of earned 0.031BTC ( $19.34) that is almost DOUBLE!!!

My rigs were online 24/7, no downtime....

Coinking by its own posting right now only profits BTC/MH/Day: 0.00094150, which is average once you normalize, I believe.

Coinking website does nothing for me when I try to register. The Register Now button does nothing. Strange.
Did you try a different browser?

I did. Leaserig already made me their user. The site did not bother to tell me when logging in. Kind of rude thing.

x13:     /MH/Day: 0.00086495
Scrypt: /MH/Day: 0.00219660

Seems low ... What am I missing?

Take into consideration that gpus hash 4,3 times faster for X11 and 3.44 times faster for X13 compared to Scrypt. (Not to mention 40% lower energy consumption)
I guess above numbers are raw numbers (not converted/racalculated in any way).
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Compare profitability: Scrypt Scrypt-N X11 multipools and hashrate rentals on: June 07, 2014, 06:54:14 AM
so why does leaserig so expensive than any other rent rig site?

where is TMB x13 and wafflepool x11 ?

The theory is that LeaseRig provides higher quality hashrate due to their rigorous approval and monitoring processes.

TMB X13 is in the spreadsheet (scroll down and right):

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1VOAhFX1XRizdaTp71qnYI5pRh9VIZEQ51LHuGUmxri0/pubhtml

I'm not tracking Wafflepool X11 yet as I don't have any available rigs (need to wait for a lease to end).

I cannot notice TMB X13 in the spreadsheet either. The spreadsheet has 3 TMB algos but there is no X13 as I can see.
How can I scroll it? It doesn't want to.

Go to the Interactive spreadsheet link (it's a Google shared spreadsheet). Click on "Performance data" on the top left somewhere. This will be your "worksheet" with raw data. Look for X13 and old data there.

Charts have been updated for today. No major changes.

X11 is doing quite well with the sgminer update and I'd also suggest to check out X13. I have TradeMyBit X13 in the spreadsheet (bottom right) and most rental places including NiceHash are offering X13 now. Also keep an eye on WafflePool's X11 beta due sometime soon.

I've set up my rig on Leaserig X13 and using Nicehash as my primary pool... Wink
Drops connections every now and then, but harvests both of the two worlds.

58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Compare profitability: Scrypt Scrypt-N X11 multipools and hashrate rentals on: June 05, 2014, 07:42:23 AM

I'm leaning towards the opinion that most scrypt pools are within 90-110% of LTC profitability so I might just as well have the single LTC line on the charts.

Add two artificial lines (dotted maybe) for LTC-10% and LTC+10%.
These three parallell lines would be sufficient to show "simple scrypt" mining data.
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Compare profitability: Scrypt Scrypt-N X11 multipools and hashrate rentals on: June 05, 2014, 07:39:10 AM
Just installed the new AMD 14.6 driver for a modest 10-15% boost on X11(darkcoin) without changing anything else at all.

Some people were reporting up to 80% more Hash on some cards depending on the algorithm so I thought I'd give it a try!!!
Seems you can tweak setting a little more as well, so I may be able to improve more with some other tweaking.

Warning: Keep an eye on your temperatures while tweaking with this driver!

This might muck up your graphs a little  Tongue

I've had some bad luck with drivers in the past so I won't be moving off 13.12 anytime soon, not for a 10% gain anyway. But I'm fully aware that my charts can't represent all possible combinations, it's more of an example of what's out there. Everyone needs to do some benchmarking and some math before deciding which pool/service to use.

I did install 14.4 (or was it 14.6? Anyway, it was the version the autodetect software offered) on one of my rig and nothing happened. 4×280x Gigabyte. Cards run on the same speed as before. X11mod and X13mod kernels. Win7 32bit.
Unfortunately the rig started to be a pain a bit on the Wifi side, I switched it off, so there was no deeper testing anyway.
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Compare profitability: Scrypt Scrypt-N X11 multipools and hashrate rentals on: May 30, 2014, 09:33:53 AM
what hashrate u got on 290? and 750ti?

On a 290 I got 2.2 MH/s in X11 and 880 KH/s in Scrypt, so the ratio is ~2.5. This is with sph-sgminer and as Accordus mentioned there is a newer version with much better performance for X11.

I have not tried 750 Ti with X11 yet but from what I'm reading ccminer should yield 2+ MH/s, which is pretty impressive for a card that does 250-300 KH/s in Scrypt.

Six Gigabyte 280x installed in 2 PCs:
"scrypt" kernel = 4.35 MH, 1850 W
"dakcoin" kernel doing X11 = 12.6 MH, 960 W
"X11mod" kernel = 19 MH, 1050 W
"x13mod" (latest version) kernel = 15.1 MH, 1050 W

(Three cards are slightly better in Scrypt mode compared to the other three. The difference is only the firmware version. GA is printed on the PCI connector bar's white area for the faster ones. In X11/X13 mode, they perform the same.)

I hope this also helps.
