4  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Profitability of Mining + Excel Workbook on: April 13, 2011, 08:29:45 AM
Hi!

just one note:
over here I pay 30 cent per kw/h power. A 300 MHashes/sec GPU consumes 300W. 3hours mining is roughly 30 cent.
8 times a day are 24h are roughly 2€ per day power costs.
A 300 MHashes/sec at current diff (83.000, will be 92.000 next week) will give me 3.6 BTC per day. Even at a rate of 1 US$ per BTC thats only 3.6 US$ or 2.5€ per day. Which is roughly 50 €-cent per day on plus side.
30 days a month are 15 € per month. For a 300 MH card I pay 330 €, which will be 22 month of mining with current difficulty until card is payed (and power).
Somehow something does not fit here. And difficulty does raise.
So, how will you gain 6000$ per year with investment cost, raising difficulty AND power costs?

6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: setup a server to connect to in I2P - how? on: December 14, 2010, 10:48:57 AM
Moin

I2P builds up direct tunnels to a special destination.
E.g. a client in I2P needs to setup one tunnel to each destination (server) it wants to connect to. And need to connect the client to the tunnel-entry (local IP 127.0.0.1 port XXXX).

Which results in mostly only one connection possible.
Point of concern is on howto get bitcoin client forget about IPs and not to connect to the IPs.

7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / setup a server to connect to in I2P - how? on: December 13, 2010, 11:05:21 AM
Moin!

I think about running a bitcoind in I2P space for others to connect anon to it.
I know nodes need to connect to other nodes.
Now my question:
Is one connection for bitcoin clients enough? Or do I need to setup at least 2 clients as "proxy"?
How do my node act as a proxy? Looks like my node needs to connect via usual internet and should accept connections via I2P.
Does a bitcoin client with the -noirc option not connect to usual IPs?

thank you.

8  Economy / Marketplace / Re: I2P now accepting Bitcoin donations! on: December 12, 2010, 07:50:35 PM
Hi!

First: SORRY for all problems.
I just did not know the fact of different IDs generated by bitcoin pointing to my account
I just clicked "copy ID to clipboard" and entered that one in my contacts.
Current state is 200 coins - I guess all arrived here so far. I just know I mentioned at 3 different IDs.
On 1AZSQqST...  I received 44 coins.
On 1JHYGshG8... I received 106,27 coins
On 1HkJCceXf... I received 56 coins yet and 100 witing to be acked.

I will now only publish the ID 1HkJCceXf7of1sTNRVJbXiZHfDTLL71Siy in all mails, forum, webpages I use.
I even changed it on echelon.i2p.

Sorry again for all the problems, tricked by the technical department.
and I hope this clarifies some fuzzle.

P.S.: yeah, I dated some entries to far in future ;-) changed, to.
