1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: First time scammed , very frustrated on: February 24, 2021, 01:39:29 PM
That's a hurtful experience, I'm sorry for your loss, all I can say is get your ass up and don't give up, learn from your mistake and never ever let such happen again, before engaging in any fundraising ICO or other make sure you are taking the right step, may the lord be with you
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 400$ per GTX1660 Ti on: February 21, 2021, 07:06:34 PM
Honestly all I can smell in the air is the fear of bears  taking over the market while you are still mining to recover your invested money, I get it peeps but if you aren't ready for the bad side why are people taking the risks to build mining rigs right now? It would have be so better if you build in January 2021, could be very close to ROI already as per my calculations but still when bears will return is still a misery
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you get mad when the price of your cryptos go higher after you have sold on: February 19, 2021, 01:43:32 PM
I have been investing in cryptos for some years now and i always have to fight a battle with myself whenever i sell some of my cryptos or close my positions in a trade and the price continues to go higher.

Sometimes i regret selling, while sometimes i just try not to look at the particular crypto anymore to avoid having regrets.

Do you also encounter this? And how do you deal with it?
Yeah this can happen to anybody, everybody wants to make profit and not just any profits, I'm talking about big profits and the thing is from my own side of my story I have lost more than I've make in crypto space so I'm not ready to keep taking some unnecessary risks instead I prefer to take my profit and never look back, it is that easy
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto mining is weird at times on: February 19, 2021, 12:54:23 PM
There is nothing weird about all this friend I'm very sure that having two separate mining rigs I have nothing to do it the rewards you are getting, although it's better to have higher hashrate in one place than two because the bigger your hashrate the better you solves shares better most especially if you are using PPS pools
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Using 8pin to dual 8/6pin to power 3070 on: February 19, 2021, 11:58:32 AM
Yes it will work, I am currently using an extension power connector with 6 and 8 pin plug and it works very well for me with no issue if it's not going to work I'm sure they the manufacturers won't build the cable in the first place
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU Fans not spinning on Riser on: February 19, 2021, 07:53:44 AM
Im interested to know whats going on here.

Ive heard of other people having this issue lately. Could it be new firmwares that are being made to stop miners ? Since the older cards never had these issues, it seems it only happens on newer batches of cards.

What new firmware you talking about? That's on RTX3060 and OP is using gtx1660s, I'm also mining with 6x gtx1660 super here on risers and no issue with fan not spinning or something like that, it can be issue with power supply, riser or motherboard, if OP have spare parts he can get to the bottom of this faster
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / SRB miner performs better on rx580 on: February 17, 2021, 09:49:50 AM
Looking for 29MH or 30MH on your RX580 without bios modding? I have a solution for you, get SRBMiner, it performs well on RX580 than phoenix miner and lolminer, put CClock @1171 and Memory clock @2114, even if it's the hard Micron memory you will still get 29+ MH, don't forget to say a thank you
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We should not buy outdated and overvalued coins on: February 17, 2021, 08:03:33 AM
Tron, EOS, Cardano and BCH are all good altcoins to me, this is your own decision OP and I believe everyone is free to make theirs, all these altcoins you called outdated are better than 90% of altcoins that got into crypto since 2018, well the choice is always yours
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Epic Cash -- The Most Profitable GPU Mining on: February 16, 2021, 06:10:14 PM
Had $6800 24hr volume yesterday at $12k volume today.  But only on 2 super sketchy exchanges so no...i wont waste a single hash on a coin with little to no volume....and no real market.  The claim of more profitable than eth is entirely false as ETH has market.  This little coin has nothing but hopes and no traction.  Barely in top 1000.  👎
It's the same problem with new pow coins out there right now, they have too low volume on exchanges, it shows that lesser people are buying the coin, why mine such coin when it can be real hard to sell?
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How do you find good low difficulty coins to mine? on: February 16, 2021, 05:33:38 PM
Low difficulty pow coins are not worthy to mine because it's too risky, how many new pow coins are real projects this days? Ninety nine percent of these coins are complete waste of time, you could probably end up wasting all your efforts
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Stupid mistake on: February 16, 2021, 09:13:27 AM
Are you sure the card is dead? Find another PC and insert the card but insert HDMI display cable on motherboard instead of the card itself, if your motherboard don't have hdmi use vga and go through gpuz or msi afterburner to see if the card is detected
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is It Still Profitable To Mine Cryptos In 2021 on: February 12, 2021, 10:59:46 AM
Think deeply about the cost of electricity before you start planning on building mining rigs, also know that it's not a good time to buy graphic equipments because they are too costly, you can use the money for gtx1660 today to buy two pieces of gtx1660 months ago
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Stay away from new POW coins on: February 12, 2021, 09:26:45 AM
Back in 2014 you had maybe a dozen or so coins to mine. LTC was the most profitable but from time to time there was Dogecoin, Darkcoin (now DASH), Maxcoin, etc. And every week or so there was 3-4 new coins released that you could mine for a few days with low difficulty, then usually in a few days they almost always got listed on some exchange. And usually sell for a large profit when it hit the exchange.

These days thanks to ETH and their ERC20 tokens. Most projects go straight into an ICO. You need to pay for the tokens, you can't mine them. Hence ETH is the most profitable for GPUs and XMR for CPUs and if there is some other coin out there the profits will more or less be the same since there are bots which hop from pool to pool based on profitability. So these days just save yourself the hassle and just mine ETH.
Well said, why look for a new coin to mine when 99% of new projects today are going for smart contract? If POW algorithm is still a big thing like that of 2016 we will keep seeing new PoW coins almost every day, stick with Ethereum and make your ROI back faster
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Rejected shares rising in number on: February 12, 2021, 06:39:50 AM
Are you using any RX GPUs? For years I had issues where they would mine fine for a few days, then all of a sudden some GPU starts getting rejected shares. It would keep going up to like 10% rejected and the only way to fix was to reboot the rig. Usually fixed the issue. No idea why it happened because it would mine for days without rejected shares and then all of a sudden get rejected shares. I tried reducing memory clock or increasing voltages but it didn't seem to help.

So just keep rebooting and should fix the issue. If its a problem with the pool then obviously its not your GPUs fault and you just need to switch pools or wait for them to get it fixed. My advice is just use a miner like PhoenixMiner and use a pool like ethermine. There are guides on how you can easily get paid directly. Nicehash is great but there are issues from time to time.
This issue has nothing to do with memory clock or core voltage, I'm sure it's the pool that sucks, even if temp is too high it won't affect shares unless you overclock too high, the solution is to switch to another mining pool
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 4x 1660 super or RTX3090 on: February 11, 2021, 05:09:13 PM
All depend on price....? how much is 4 1660s and 1 3090?
If it is same price of course 3090 better, alot gpu means alot headache.
Alot of headache and more money to spend on risers too, probably even power supply, a single RTX3090 don't need two but one PCIe x16 slot and one motherboard too, very easy, go for the RTX3090
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RTX 3090 Hash Rates & Settings on: February 11, 2021, 04:46:48 PM
why the 3090? the best out of the buck is definitely the 3060 ti, or i'm missing something?

trolls are desperate, you cant find a 3060ti, now there is just the 3090, so the fomo make them buy. Profitability can crash anytime to negative and then they will never get their money back, the 200 days will become 9000 days, just like 2018 ehhe
Over exaggeration, since bear took over the market in 2018 and we are in 2021 that's 1000+ days, those who mined and kept their Ethereum still end up making huge amount of money, If bear comes keep mining and keep your ETH, crypto space is already a circle so market can't keep surging forever
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which stablecoin is best? on: February 11, 2021, 03:48:39 PM
USDT all the way and it's good that USDT isn't available on Ethereum only, this present gas fee issue would have been a big mess for someone who like storing funds using USDT on Tron network, also I believe that centralized stable coins are better, some might say no to this but not me, SEC can go after these centralized stable coins easily
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what you think about injective protocol on: February 10, 2021, 02:11:54 PM
Injective protocol isn't bad at all, I will like to add this to my other DeFi coins like Polkadot and Avalanche, the team behind the project are damn serious and ready to lift the project higher, about the ROI I'm sure this project is capable and will keep rising, still it's better to do your own research
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RTX 3090 Hash Rates & Settings on: February 10, 2021, 06:21:49 AM

i never tried RTX series before, for me i'm still mining using
GTX 1660Ti Super, i can mine about $2-4/day with these GPU..
100% power fan 80% PSU 340Watt

i really concern about the electricity cost, it turns out, i still can earn much after pay the cost,
i wanna buy RTX series too later, i hope i can mine with that GPU too.
If you care more about your electricity cost why are you using 100% power for gtx1660ti and super? That will draw up to 100 watts or over, you don't need that max power to get your gpu going, reduce the power draw to 65% and reduce memory clock and core clock to zero, you will get 31 mhs at 80 watts
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Always take a burned odor seriously on: February 08, 2021, 05:32:38 PM
All this burnt happened because you are drawing too high amp from the wall and the socket can't withstand the high current, it's better to go with 10amp minimum, I used to use a 5 amps socket and this was what happened too

I could smell the foul odour from a block away, glad I caught this real quick, the wall sockets also took some damage

It was 16 amp rated connector with 20 amp rated electrical cable and I was pulling at most 10 amp
The multitap is also rated 16 amp...
I'm not sure which one burned however but it could also just had been bad connections causing frequent sparks.

Trust me, I was not pulling too much for what it was supposed to support... I was pulling too much for what it could deliver however :p
It held 3 years and just started recently to burn.
Just bought higher quality connectors rather than the cheap one I used and in any case, I wont be pulling more than 7A once I have splitted my rigs.
Little sparks can cause burnt on any wiring even if they are gigantic amps, you can't always judge base on what your wiring setup is, it's better to be safer than sorry, always stay around your mining equipments from time to time and be sensitive to smells and odours, it's the fastest way to know that something is wrong
