One thing too... I think everyone should take an oath of secrecy, if they do give into the temptation and peel, do not share the results!  Since no one knows the winning coin, let's keep it that way!  I am not peeling mine, but 5 years down the road, I won't fault anyone who does; however, do not share, that is all I am asking.   Yeah 0.001 Funding is the way to go and not totally rekt at all...so gotta agree with 2stout on that.

Would like my coin to have bits on it so I can treat it as a loaded coin and thus it will remain so in my collectables

I know I am bit late to the game, but wanted to share my comments.  I think krogothmanhattan summed up my thoughts.   I honestly won't peel my coin, as I want it as a collectible if it has any value at all.   To me it's not about finding out if you are rekt or got lucky (maybe that will change in 10 years... lol).  However, for now it's just another piece of the Bitcoin history as shared from this group, I love it!
6  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Interest Check - Bitcoin version of Risk? on: August 30, 2023, 01:03:43 AM
Yes, Currency Conflicts!

And I want to make it somewhat educational...  I was thinking of each current having a special feature:
Us dollar - fractional reserve attack - basically the idea to create extra armies out of thin air for one attack, then have them disappear after, one per game
Brics - some extra defense since the currency is backed by gold, once per game allow an extra defensive dice.
Bitcoin - either proof of work with a bonus for each country conquered, or borderless transport to allow reinforcements anywhere.
Ethereum - proof of stake, sacrifice a turn to stake your eth, get a percentage bonus of armies.

I'm still thinking of cool ideas.  Any contribution is ideas is appreciated!
7  Economy / Collectibles / Interest Check - Bitcoin version of Risk? on: August 29, 2023, 08:27:22 PM
Thanks for everyone who participated in the poker chips that I did earlier this year, they turned out great!

I was thinking of what else I could do to contribute to the Bitcoin collectible community and thought about a Bitcoin version of the game Risk.  Here is what I thought of so far:

Game mechanics cannot be copyrighted, so using the Risk gameplay ideas should not be a problem.  We just need to make sure names and graphics are unique, should not be a problem.

https://www.boardgamesmaker.com/  allows for custom boxes, cards and boards,  prices vary based upon how many copies.

I was thinking of making the 6 armies being:

Green - US Dollar/banks.  Game pieces would be ¢, $ (5 units) and a bank (10 units)
Orange - Satoshi/Bitcoin   Games pieces would be Satoshi symbol a Bitcoin symbol and a round Bitcoin for 10 units
Blue - Ethereum   Game pieces would be Ethereum logo and ?
Red - BRICS     Game pieces might be small gold bars?  and a bank 5 units?

I need advice for the 5th and 6th army, as I am not really into any other crypto...lol   I am a fan of Elon, so maybe Doge (yellow) might be an option.  Maybe XRP (which for the record I totally despise),which would be a great villainous black army!

Countries - I would want the map to be updated to avoid any copyright concerns and would want El Salvador to stick out.  I was also thinking of making a "home country" for each as a variation.  For example, in Risk if you own the country when you trade in cards, you get 2 bonus armies, I was thinking of making that 4 if you own the country and it is the home country of your particular currency (El Salvador for Bitcoin, Eastern US for dollar/FED, Russia for ETH, China for BRICS, etc.).

Cards - I was thinking the same overall concepts with the cards, except rather then the soldier the horse and cannon, we could have an ASIC, a pick (if we go with gold) and a printer for the money printer go brrr.

I believe Slumberjack is interested in doing some of the artwork.

As for the game pieces, I was thinking we could get MM to 3d print the pieces, I have a 3d printer and will gladly help.

This would be similar to my Bitcoin Poker Chips where I will not make any profit, just looking for assistance with the design of the game.  I would like to ensure that Slumberjack gets paid for any artwork contributed (his work is awesome and I think is a necessity.

Think of the glory of winning a game with Bitcoin dominating the world, game theory at it's finest!

Please reply with any interest and or volunteer interest with the design.  Thanks!

All I can say is wow....  I am terribly disappointed, but not surprised with what happened with SBF today.   However, I am still interested in this coin when it becomes available.

Thanks!

I understand your position....  I just wish there were inspirational people included too, perhaps Nayib Bukele and or one for El Salvador in general being the first country to make a Cytpo legal tender, etc.  Something new for the Bitcoiners would be awesome!
14  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [ANN/INFO] CARDSMITHS - CURRENCY SERIES 1 TRADING CARDS on: July 14, 2023, 12:24:26 AM
That is sad about series 2 coming out and being even less Bitcoin centric...  Add my list to the names of people likely not interested in the next series.
15  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Burnt Hair Perfume on: July 12, 2023, 05:04:09 AM
I ordered one for my wife, it just arrived today.   I agree with OG, the smell is definitely burnt hair; however, even though it does not smell "bad", I would be hard pressed to say it smells good.   Ironically with the Arizona heat, as soon as we opened the box, we could smell it!

Overall, I think I am going to have a hard time to convince my wife to try it, so it's likely going to stay a collectible.

I just wanted to add my praise here as well and confirm I ordered one!  Thanks!

It looks like that link is not working anymore....

Sorry, the page you are trying to access is not accepting submissions at this time.

Hopefully a good percentage of those stickers ended up in the hands of Bitcoiners . . .

Well, I got 4!  I signed up with my wife, my nephews and myself...lol    Best of all, it cost Greenpeace 12.5 cents each in postage for this blunder.   This has to go down in history as their biggest mistake (overall, I support Greenpeace in most causes, this was completely misguided).
