what do you want for the coin?

and did you keep the bitcoin made from the car sale? that would be epic now!

and I wish I could go to El Salvador for the party - I am sure it will be epic!

Honestly, just testing the water with the coin, I am not really sure.  I thought it was a good way to see if anyone knew of the coin (I have not found anything else online about it and I guess it was 2018 when I got it).

As for the Bitcoin, absolutely!  The only time I ever sold any Bitcoin in my life was 2017, I sold for some gold and silver, most of which I reinvested back into Bitcoin.

If you want to put a face to a name, here is an old video interview from 2018 (I feel like such a dork watching myself):

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ztQWrbZxa8

It was a cool car, I imported a bunch of vehicles from Japan for fun, if anyone ever has an interest, let me know. I would gladly help!  If you watch the video, you'll know why I call myself the short Bitcoiner (not to be confused with the Bitcoin shorter).

OK,

2 questions:

#1  Is there any interest in a Ninja Mining Cooperative coin?   I got this years ago (scratches on on the case, not coin, I can include close up if anyone is interested), I loaded a little about 2 years ago to test it out, it has 0.00099997 on it (I was trying to get to .001, but my misjudged the fees. lol)  The image shows the public key - 18jnYeKAxCgwtEexhNxfgC9JqzF7ZFR1wT   I know I saw some historical posts way back when regarding the Ninja Mining Cooperative, but have not seen anything lately.   Cool story, I sold this guy a car for Bitcoin way back when in the day!

Here is the car I sold, it came from Japan, it was a factory produced Miata to look like an old Lotus.

#2 Is anyone here going to the Bitcoin Halving party in El Salvador?  If so, please message me, it would be awesome to meet some of you in person!

This video claims it's Stellar Lumens... lol:

It does have an interesting review of the article though...

Also, the new auction accepted my $10 offer per coin.  I just bought 3 more.

Hopefully this helps, it looks under 1.5" for sure... Sorry a tape measure is not the greatest:

Well, someone scooped them all up!  I hope it was someone from this board, looks like 18 just sold!

Yep, that was me, the last 15 anyway, many thanks for the tip, not to redeem, but as cool keepsakes/gifts.

AWESOME!! Smiley

I thought it was a weird choice by Which Which to arrange redemption in the way they did. In order to redeem you have to return the coin. From a marketing perspective, seems like you would want people to keep a memorable item with your branding. I'm hanging onto mine.

I agree completely, but that will increase the rarity.  Not that these will ever be a super valuable coin, but it is a interesting memento.  The only disappointing thing to me was how they tracked to the value of Bitcoin. I wish they pegged it to a set amount rather than the formula they used, but I do understand they had to protect themselves from Bitcoin's full potential!

Early on they were expensive, I paid over $15 just to get some.   I think this guy on eBay just did not bother looking to see what they can redeem them for, and likely had them listed for a while.

I am still keeping mine, but tempted to buy a few and redeem them for lunch here locally.

I forgot about tax, so maybe if you do buy some, make an offer less than $10 each.

For those of you who followed the Which Wich crypto box, it's doing well:

https://www.whichwich.com/cryptobox/

I am not going to turn my coins in, I think they are cool, but for those of you who would:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/275329486936?

So, that auction is $10 including shipping, and you can turn around and redeem it for almost $14 as of tomorrow....  So theoretically you have to await a few days to get it in the mail, so the price will change.  But it may be worth the odds.... Smiley

16  Economy / Collectibles / Re: What are your top 3 events in bitcoin history? on: February 07, 2024, 02:20:22 PM
If it's not too late, I wanted to share my top 3:

Casascius Coins - I remember seeing these in 2012, as I was a total silver bug.  I remember seeing them on eBay for $80.  I did the math and thought, $80 for $30 in silver and $10 in Bitcoin, not worth it and bought 2 rolls of American Eagles instead.   Biggest regret of my life.... lol

August 2017 BTC Fork - This taught me a lot about wallets, as copying your wallet to get access to the Bitcoin Cash and then to sell the Bitcoin Cash for more BTC, that was so awesome.  I honestly forget, but I believe that got me at least 20% more BTC!

March 2017 - Bitcoin overtakes gold in value!   This was a big one for me, as I came from the gold and silver world.   To me BTC being worth more than gold solidified it's existence and people started to take it a lot more seriously.
17  Economy / Collectibles / Re: 1hodlclub coins not loaded on: February 02, 2024, 09:24:59 PM
I just wanted to say based upon the prior discussions, I reached out to 1HoDLCLUB directly via the email provided.  I wanted to confirm I got a response within a day and it fully explained the process.

One item I did appreciate, he had provided the following:

"For orders on the website, there's no need to request loading anymore. It is done automatically in batches with other orders for the week of your purchase. The only time you need to contact me regarding loading is if your tracking shows "Delivered," and you haven't received the package."

So, great customer service overall!  I will definitely continue buying his products.

Thanks!

Carlos just messaged me, only 100 will be made!  And yes I ordered one.   He indicates they are about 1/2 reserved already.

Website updated.  Now that makes for a nice collectible!
20  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INFO] Bitcoin Halvening Watch on: January 24, 2024, 03:51:00 PM
I imagine it is an open run until the halvening or he sells out.    That is the one question that I am awaiting an answer on, what  is the max number.  Since the pics show 001/xxx  I assume there is not a set number, but no more than 999 (doubt that many will sell).   So I imagine at the end of the ordering period that will determine the series limit and no more than that will ever be made.

The other special limited editions were 750 and they did sell out of designs A and B, C still has some available.

I did ask Carlos via Twitter about the max number, I will share anything I hear here.

Thanks!
