1001  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] 280x/290x GPUs on: February 21, 2016, 08:51:14 AM
I don't know, dont have the cards but some dude is getting 22Mh/s for his 380 2GB. Which is exactly what my R9 280X does.

https://forum.ethereum.org/discussion/2134/gpu-mining-is-out-come-and-let-us-know-of-your-bench-scores

I dont know if there's conflicting information, but i see some guy;

"check this thread. they report that 380 is around 18-19 MH/s
not as good as 280-290"

Which seem to fit.
1002  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] 280x/290x GPUs on: February 21, 2016, 08:47:33 AM
The 380 2GB gets like 20MH/s. The 4GB model might get slightly more.

Hard to compare since the DAG file keeps changing and speeds vary.

My 380x does 19.5MH/s. Not sure whats up with that, but it is what it so for me.
1003  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] 280x/290x GPUs on: February 21, 2016, 08:37:22 AM

The 380 is much slower than the 380x that is slower than the 280x. He'd be paying 30 more for a brand new GPU that would be a big downgrade.
1004  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB][To Canada] GPUs 7950, 7970, 280x, 290, 290x, 380x, 390, 390x on: February 21, 2016, 07:58:18 AM
This is a pretty accurate graph on how the performances vary per card. So its looks like the best deal on these GPUs is to buy used 280X, (or 7970 almost the same) rather then spend money on the new 380X. Even an used R9 290 is not worth the 50% price premium since its only slightly more faster than a 280X.

<img clipped>

not to be picky, but there are no 280X or r9 390 (just 390X) on this graph.

its there, check again

Maybe i'm too blind but i dont see the 390 either. I do see the 280x tho its 100%, the reference level.
1005  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer S7 negative hardware error rate? on: February 21, 2016, 07:52:48 AM
I have seen a lot of weird stats screen on malfunctioning Antminers Cheesy, but i have never seen a negative value on hardware errors
Rebooted it just because it weirded me out, all is normal now.

Has anyone seen this before? This is a batch 9 S7. What the heck does it mean  Huh this is the second time it has happened to me.

Yeah normal little math bug when the runtime gets too high, it goes a bit derp. You could restart it every week if you wanted but regardless its purely a display bug with the UI.
1006  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTB - Video Cards Amd Any Model. on: February 21, 2016, 02:42:55 AM
People really desperate when it comes to GPUs now. Hijacking other threads

Yes, very desperate. But seemed appropriate since the guy said he doesnt want to sell to OP. But i guess youre right, should of gotten taken to PMs. Regardless, 270x arent all that nice. But yeah. Maybe its time to buy from retail.
1007  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTB - Video Cards Amd Any Model. on: February 21, 2016, 01:38:31 AM
I got some 7950's laying around, but your account is a bit too new...

Well you could use Escrow. If your GPUs are not being used, you could also send/sell them to me. If they mine at the speed they should, that would be nice for me.

I was actually looking at 7990 for fun. 400$ for 50MH/s sounded like fun. The only problem i have right now is i have BTC, not fiat, so i cannot bid on Ebay. =/

Those cards are too overpriced, everybody has a $700-$1000 cad buy it now price on those. The only biddable on is at almost $500 CAD.

There's one at 467$ BIN shipped. It would be an alternative to buying retail 380x.

1010  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Correct me if I am wrong here on: February 20, 2016, 09:56:31 PM
First of all, thank you for your time,
I wonder about the mining opportunity that is left.
Did we not allready lose Bitcoin ?

For some time I am really interested in Bitcoin , I have found mining opportunity to mine at 2 ct. Electricity. Location rent is free. All I need is hardware. I have tried buying second hand miners on the Dutch market. It is very limited and full of outdated hardware. New hardware seems to be made to have impossible ROI. This is my calculation for S7 as an example, the S7 is for now the best hardware I have found online.

Unit (820usd) + decent PSU (100 usd) + shipping/vat. (100 usd)   = 1020 usd

Current monthly revenue is 160 usd per month
If we take the halting into account in 5 months and the difficulty increase, just see for your self if there
Is any reason to mine.
Is there any miners that want to sell of their btc farm? Or maybe relocate? I really want to use the oppirtunity I have.
I want to wait for the 16nm , I am just sure that they will be overpriced.

You have 0.02$/kWh? You should have no problem reaching ROI at all, whatsoever.

The "latest" mining hardware is never the best deal when you have cheap electricity. You have to go for the "outdated hardware". At the moment people are dumping S3/S5's. Thats what you should be buying.
1011  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Solar array starting to look good. on: February 20, 2016, 09:53:51 PM
Nah they would regulate against it.

Kind of the same as having a tall tv antenna and letting your neighbors hook into it.  You need a license as they would say you are a cable provider.

...of course. Regulations to avoid undermining the big bois. That completely did not enter my mind at the time. Ah well. Its not too bad that you can get 0.05$. Though i hope in the near future, things get a bit better for motivating "green power" production.

Do u have any mining performance for this card?

My 390x es get 31.5mh stock. Slight OC to 33.5 though. Better deal than Furys if u can get the 390x at under $400.

Thanks for adding data. I wonder whats wrong with the 380x then.

I guess i can offer 300$ shipped to Canada, then. Considering its brand new it will probably not feel like a good offer. But my offer is there in case, until i find something better. Cheers.

300$ very low.

I understand why you would say that, but you can get more hash rate for 150$-175$, so you can only put so much money toward getting the deluxe card before its pointless. People here are typically miners and do a bit of research before buying, so if you can't sell at miner's price range, you might have to go sell on Ebay or Amazon etc.

However there's not that much pressure for you to sell since your GPU won't devalue super quickly like ASIC does.

How many GPUs are you planning on buying in total.

I currently got 10 and want to expand but don't want to get burnt how I got burnt 2 years ago with the whole Litecoin/Dogecoin GPU rigs. Where it was profitable for 1 month and then went downhill.

Everyone throwing themselves at gpus for ethereum are going to get burned like in 2013/2014 with litecoin. I suggest using what you have, and not buying into more gpus unless the price is incredibly good. But everyone knows how profitable gpu mining is right now, so there are no good deals.

i think/hope that you will be able to sell decent cards  to "gaming" people later on, but don't hold my breath.

Yes GPU's dont lose as much values. I've had these 280x for a long time now and i've sold some at some point and now i can buy them back around the same price i sold them.

I dont know, maybe 6 per months until it not longer feels right.

It should be okay. The resell value of a GPU does not drop nearly as much as ASIC's.
1015  Economy / Service Discussion / Anyone knows trustedshops in Canada that sell used GPU and ASIC accepting BTC? on: February 20, 2016, 09:28:21 PM
The only one i know of is Bitcoinware and the price are really high, also not the GPU's i'm interested in right now.

Basically i guess the best bet would be Ebay, but BTC -> Ebay is a pain.

If i win on Ebay, how long is it okay to wait until i pay? Because i dont want to sell BTC in case i'm going to need Fiat to pay an Ebay seller.

Alright so, i'm now looking for more GPUs.

Things like 7950, 7970, 280x, 290, 290x, 380x, 390, 390x, etc.

Anything in Canada?
If not i'd be willing to discuss if you are in the US or can ship rather fast internationally if the price don't add up too much.

Replies here or PMs welcome.

1018  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Solar array starting to look good. on: February 20, 2016, 09:04:53 PM
Thanks for the reply, this is actually pretty interesting.

For instance electricity in residences here is typically 0.06$/kWh, which is rather profitable for mining. And industrial setups here can get a bit cheaper.
This means that with your solar setup, you're able to more or less sell its electricity at a rate close to what i would pay for mine.

This sound rather fantastic because if your setup last, you can simply stop mining and earn money back from the electricity company. 0.05$/kWh is pretty cool, even though they might make up to 0.1$/kWh profit on you.

Maybe you could connect your neighbors to you and sell at 0.1$/kWh yourself?
1019  Economy / Services / Re: LEGENDARY MEMBER Offering TRUSTED BITCOIN ESCROW services (NO ACCOUNTS, NO FIAT) on: February 20, 2016, 09:01:04 PM
Quick post to say that since the first time, i've dealt repeatedly with OgNasty and the quick service and resolutions has always been well worth the 1% fee.

Just in case anyone wonder.
1020  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Solar array starting to look good. on: February 20, 2016, 08:37:15 PM
yeah some east coast states are very good.  NJ ,MA  a few more.

So for your setup, if you pay (i think you said) 0.13-0.17$/kWh, how much does the electric company pay you back for what you sell off to them? I assume they do it at profit?
