81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Did fixed rate system ever saved your money? on: October 03, 2019, 06:50:43 AM
Yes, this fixed rate system is ideal for everyone who doesn't want to lose money and get affected by the market's volatility. I encountered this issue whenever I try to transfer to my local exchange since it takes so long to transfer from my own wallet to theirs. However, it's great to hear that Changelly has that option since I've been using it to exchange fellow coins. A bit similar to what alternative IEO's are doing as it has the same goal for traders to buy low and sell high, no one wants to lose money anyway so systems like these where it protects our money is really helpful.

You may feel bad if the prices go up and you used fixed-rate but that's the thing about crypto, you will never know what will happen and just be glad that you're not on the losing end.

I love how their games are kind of old school looking. It brings me back to childhood feels and makes me want to try. The screenshot above looks like Galacticus, if I remember it correctly. Do I need to buy PIXL in order for me to play?
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best time to keep investing? market is crumbling again on: October 01, 2019, 02:58:59 AM
I'll be more than happy to invest in BTC at 8k, it has been doing a good job staying at this resistance point and not drop to 7k for a very long time. This may actually be the dip before the real bull run starts. As for alts, the best one to go for is ETH and other startups that already has a huge user base behind them like a big shopping mall in Korea. In that way, you won't have any problems as to where you will get users for your platform.

It would be good if BTC atleast drops to 6k, that's where everyone will start buying and start a small run from there. Do you guys think that it will get to atleast 6k? or will it stay on 8k~7.9k?
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: your patience is being tested on: September 30, 2019, 06:08:09 AM
I just don't panic at bearish times, at all. And you have to understand what level are you willing to lose and when to play smart. It is definitely scary if you invested at 10k and you're here at 7k with not knowing what's gonna happen next but just rely on TA's. There's a lot of things that you can still do, like still invest and go for startup coins that already has en established company behind them, similar to the biggest wholesale market in Korea that entered crypto and will be giving their coins as a reward. Those things can definitely help with mass adoption and little by little, get crypto being known globally. We can also do bounty/airdrops to get additional income, though it will require you effort.

Our patience is definitely being tested during these times, the long-term hodlers will not have any issues at all and we've seen the potential and why BTC is the best-performing asset ever.
85  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Investing on cryptocurrency is too hard for others on: September 28, 2019, 12:52:05 PM
Very good points. I think ung number 1 issue kung bat d pa ganun ka well-known ang crypto d2 sa pinas is ung lack of knowledge. Once na malaman ng mga tao ung benefits and how they can get rich if they know how to play it right, I think madami maeenganyo na magtry.

Other companies should try na iincorporate btc/crypto rin, kung ttgnan nyo sa US and other countries, ung mga big establishments like AT&T tmtanggap na ng BTC for payment, same with Starbucks and BAAKT.
86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New investors are too impatience on: September 28, 2019, 12:46:36 PM
Most of the investors that we've seen in the cryptospace are all after quick buck and not long-term development of the technology. This attitude has been exposed since ICO became hot 2~3 years ago. If these investors are really after fast profits, then they should consider looking at Micro token offerings since they let you buy coins that are already in the exchange for a private-sales like price. These investors just don't have the patience to wait for the startup they invested in to grow and deliver their promises in the roadmap.

We need investors who are in it for the long-run, blockchain and crypto is still on its infant stages and imagine once we get the entire world to back it.

88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoiners, don't give up yet. Bitcoin can't do it alone. on: September 26, 2019, 01:16:42 PM

What's your take on this, do you think the industry can survive without altcoins that's just bitcoin been the only currency in the space.

Totally not, ETH is leading by example and is so focused on platform development which is ETH 2.0 comparing it with BTC which has been stagnant for so many years but is still the King. There are alts in the market that are aiming to help mass adoption to get cryptocurrency/blockchain in a better place. Korea's biggest wholesale will already be utilizing blockchain to level-up their payment system and is better as it provides transparency. But at the same time, we can't blame people to give up on alts because of how many scam projects that participated since 2017.

The community just have to be patient in terms of the project's progress and at the same time, the projects who are well funded should do their part in maintaining a good reputation and delivering their promises.

It's very rare to see actual Founders interact and share updates here in Bitcointalk for their project. This is the kind of leadership and transparency that we wanted. Keep it up!
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how to invest safely in cryptocurrency? on: September 24, 2019, 11:24:11 AM

5. the project we want to invest has been running for a long time (if I personally never invested in a new project), because investing in new project has a greater risk than we invest in old project.

Point number 5 is one of the most important things that some investors don't look at. The idea can be good and all but there has to be someone behind the project that already has a proven track record. More big players in the space are now starting to pick up crypto, like Korea's giant telecom that will create something like a system that will act like a universal sim basing on crypto/blockchain. On the other hand, Libra doesn't have that much of a good reputation because of Facebook running it.

Yep, same question. I can't find any info about where they're listing. Better go for exchanges with large volume.
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sign of ETH price revival! on: September 22, 2019, 06:56:04 AM
Ethereum is definitely growing a lot and it's quick jump from $180 to 220ish, with BTC just sitting there doing nothing is a good sign for the coin itself. It's kind of showing signs that it's separating itself from its elder brother. There are also startup projects that are building something amazing in the payment platform space for shoppers, and other areas that are using ERC-20/Ethereum blockchain to build on top of.

I think this upward trend will continue on with ETH 2.0 possibly going live early 2020. It's a good time to be an ETH holder.

94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's stopping crypto from mass adoption? on: September 21, 2019, 06:28:26 AM
I would say that there are 2 areas that is somehow slowing down mass adoption. 1st one would be companies/big players in the market. I can't really blame them but they're not yet seeing the benefits that they can get by utilizing blockchain/crypto into their system. There are startups that are using crypto as a reward system in their payment platform which would open the public eye into knowing more about cryptocurrency as a whole.

Second one would be the Government, simple things like them banning it from their country may spark the curiosity of the people but of course, they can't contribute to adoption since they can't own one.

96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How do you find good ICOs? on: September 20, 2019, 12:22:48 PM
You can generally find good projects or ICO's on top listing sites, but be careful as they're similar to Youtubers where it's a paid review. So you always have to do your due diligence of studying the project that you will invest on. I always go for startups that are providing solution to ongoing problems with the use of blockchain. A full telecom service that has entered the scene is planning to utilize blockchain to get rid of single carrier dependency, this telecom giants are killing us with fees.

One thing that you also need to look at is their roadmap and team. Everything has to be realistic and not just full of fake promises.

98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is the best coin buy now? on: September 07, 2019, 11:42:46 AM
Best coin to buy now is still BTC ofcourse, it has the most potential and some people are saying that there's only once crypto and its BTC. Though there are some coins that has a lot of potential and good use case, it will be good to determine them through ICO scores that were averaged by listing sites to help you determine which cheap coins will come out on top. If you got into a coin which is on its private, pre-sales, and that coin turned out to be like ETH, LTC, etc. Then you're one lucky man.
