It would be great to get some feedback on an idea we've been thinking of.

We are planning on introducing a new token which is mined by betting.

This token will not have an ICO and will have no pre-mining.

Every time you make a bet you will mine some amount of tokens, from an Ethereum smart contract.
Each week the difficulty will increase.

Every 24 hours we will take a percentage of commission from the bankroll profit and distribute to token holders who stake their tokens.

Token holders will be able to use their tokens to claim bonuses, pay for fees, unlock special features and trade.

The site would use a percentage of it's profit each week to buy back tokens and burn them. All tokens used to pay fees and claim bonuses will also be burned.

I think these ideas could be a great way for players to get rewards for playing and also a way to slowly build up trust and a bankroll.

What do you guys think?

Looks like barely any people play on this site anymore? Is the site about to die?

What's the long-term ambition for BTCDice in the fact of such strong competition?

True, it has so low number of players because it has just came back few days back after several months of inactivity. There were some players when they had wagering contest but now there is no attractive things that makes potential players come or even makes their early players come back.
They said that they have some big plans for the next few months, but it seems that their plans will be depending on investors. I think that their plans wont be done if the site get low investors only.

Our last investor backed out and sold their Bitcoin. It seems impossible for a new site to get investment so we will likely have to close again.
We had planned to release a new MoneyPot like service to allow people to open their own casino apps but that can't really happen with no bankroll for the apps to use.

Hi everyone
We are putting the site back online.
We have some big plans coming over the next 3-6 months with new games, features and a new casino as a service option.

In the mean time we have put the https://btcdice.io site back up and are looking for new investors in the bankroll and to allow the site to attract a community while we work on the new features.

You can invest Bitcoin for now though in future we will add other currencies.

First of all welcome back, it seems that there was no buyer who are willing to buy your site when you tried to sell it months ago.
What's make you decide to run it back again while you said that you were going to focus on other project? (No need to answer it if it is a secret reason).
By the way, you need to prove first that it is worth for investors to invest their money on your site. At least try to build your reputation first so investor wont be too worry to invest.

Thanks

We didn't actively try to sell it. We just put it in a post for anyone who may be interested but there's not really a market for people buying dice sites today anyway.

The main reason for coming back is we have plans for unique things we can do that will stand out in terms of features and games.

Why dont you bring the wagering contest back as well? Frankly speaking, that was the only reason for me to play on your site in the past.
Probably you need to do your plans as fast as possible, the competition is getting tougher every single day.
If you cant offer something attractive, no one will play on your site because there are many other sites out there that offers something back for their players.

Hi, we would like to do the wagering contest and other promos again but we need to find new investors first. Our last investor has moved on from crypto.
We wouldn't be able to run promos if there's not an attractive bankroll to play against.
4  Economy / Gambling / Re: as moneypot is closing who is next decent bankroll provider? on: February 04, 2020, 04:03:09 PM
We launched a new dice site at https://btcdice.io

We are planning on a bankroll provider and casino as a service provider similar to what MoneyPot did.

If there are any app developers who would like to be part of the new platform pm to discuss. We can work together on porting your old app or help with new ones.

90% of investor funds will be kept in there and 10% used to process withdrawals.

9  Economy / Gambling / Re: Would you play on a new dice? What features would it need for you to switch? on: December 18, 2019, 07:18:59 PM
We actually have an idea for a new game that combines traditional bitcoin dice with another classic casino game and think it would be a lot more entertaining with a lot of side prizes and social features.

It would take some time to finish development and we would need to have an invest feature like we did on btcdice.io before.

Will post updates as development gets near the end.

Thanks

10  Economy / Gambling / Would you play on a new dice? What features would it need for you to switch? on: December 17, 2019, 07:42:53 PM
Hey
As in the title, would you play on a new dice site?

What features would you like to see that have not been done already?

What features would it need for you to switch from your current favourite dice site?

If you answered no, what games would you like to see done using crypto that haven't already?

Thanks

Do you have access restrictions by countries? I can’t log in from my country and get error Error 522. I also wanted to ask you if you plan to block the possibility of investing in a bankroll in the future? In other casinos this happened.

site already closed down .

If anyone would like to buy the software and domain you can pm your offer.

What?? Well, that was fast. Guess you really underestimated what it takes to be successful in this industry.

We didn't underestimate anything. The plan was not to grind away for 2 years to build a dice site.
The plan was to release an alternative at the right time that people could invest in considering there were a few sites like yolodice closing bankroll and bustabit changing commission structure.

It was the right time to launch but no one was making the switch so we closed and moved on. If people had switched then we would have focused on running the site long term.

We are willing to sell the software to people who do want to spend their time focusing on marketing and growing a successful dice site instead of code.

PM offers.

1 hour and 45 minutes left of todays contest at https://btcdice.io

15  Economy / Gambling / Re: BTCDice.io - LEADERBOARD, INVEST -New dice site, fast rolls, instant withdrawals on: September 27, 2019, 01:11:45 PM
The rewards are lower because the contest runs and pays every day instead of once a week.
We can't give out the weekly prize every day if all that is going to happen is players wait until midnight and bet 1 satoshi to win the prize.

As traffic increases we will increase the prizes. Also the more people that wager the higher the prize is as it is progressive.
Just keep on spending that money on marketing instead of competition and you may actually get some people in here but considering they are spending investment money it might create a challenge. At one hand if you spend investors money but manage to get a bunch of people then they will make a profit on gamblers and will be able to recoup that investment, on the other hand if they fail then they won't be able to pay investors back.

Hence, it is a big dilemma what to do, maybe they are doing the correct way, maybe they are not doing it the right way, nobody can really know. Maybe you guys should hire a consultant who is known in bitcoin casino world so you can get some pointers from them and do what they say since they already done it and managed to run a casino.

Both competition/contest and marketing are needed for a better result. Competition without advertising or advertising without competition wont be effective way to make the site survive for long time. So it is better if they can do both at the same time. There are many advertising strategy by using social media (twitter, facebook, telegram, discord, etc) and I think it is cheaper than signature campaign, at least they should spread the word as much as possible in this online world.

Almost all dice sites and gambling dapps have poor social medial presence. It isn't that effective. It only works for a few already big sites who have a large following already.
If we start a twitter, facebook and telegram profile we wont bring players with it.

The "marketing" we are doing is giving daily contests, which are always +ev by the way. Look at Primedice, yolodice, stake and bitsler. All with daily or weekly contests and the prizes are NEVER plus ev yet people still play them. I don't see why people wouldn't also play on ours.

This forum used to be enough to attract people to a site. All dice sites from 2012-2015 used this forum exclusively and grew from that. That's why I said previously there obviously aren't many gamblers left here.

People could support the site by inviting others to join with their affiliate link. But they won't because then they have extra competition in the leaderboard. They don't think that it would actually benefit them long term because then the prizes will be bigger and the site grows.

How do you know if you do not even willing to try? Sorry to say but you looks like so pessimistic person for your own site.
What I mean by marketing is something like advertisement not competition/contest on your site. I call it as promotion, advertisement is a way to make your site noticeable for new people. Indeed there is no guarantee that it will be effective but as an owner you should do your best.
Many other old and big sites are still doing advertisement till now to try to get more and more players. If there is no more gambler in this forum, those old and big sites would have stopped their promotion and advertisement in this forum. Wondering, if you do not want to do social media advertisement and you think that this forum is not useful anymore because there is no more gamblers left then how and where would you promote your site?

Word of mouth and users using affiliate link.
We are not marketers. If we can't grow with that then we will close the site and sell the software.

18  Economy / Gambling / Re: BTCDice.io - LEADERBOARD, INVEST -New dice site, fast rolls, instant withdrawals on: September 26, 2019, 08:32:30 AM
Only 9 users in 10 top wagered gamblers!!!
Seems that the gambling website has not been successful to attracting gamblers.

Too early to judge like that, it was their 2nd wagering contest and it was the first contest with lower rewards. Not surprising enough if there were less players compared to the first one that has higher rewards. Bear in mind that it is also a new site dice site, it is not easy to attract gamblers because there are so many other dice sites out there. Give the site more times and lets see what they can do to attract gamblers.

The rewards are lower because the contest runs and pays every day instead of once a week.

Just under 1 and a half hours left of todays daily leaderboard. Current rankings are shown below

We will keep running daily leaderboard contests until Sunday.
If we don't see an increase in volume or players by then we will close the site and return any investments or balances.

Good luck
20  Economy / Gambling / Re: BTCDice.io - LEADERBOARD, INVEST -New dice site, fast rolls, instant withdrawals on: September 25, 2019, 07:00:20 PM
When you do a contest you can put a lag in there or a latency, doesn't have to be because of the internet connection or anything, you can put a latency in the results, so you can actually gamble let's say at 14:59 but your bet still may not be considered in the contest that ends at 15:00 (times are just for example) hence if you actually put that in there then people will have to play even earlier to get away from it and if they play earlier than their opponents they are racing will see it as well and at least it will be a fair race, however if you don't put it there then someone may come in and do a huge bet on the last minute without anyone noticing. That's how you can eliminate the last second snipers, you just have to put some small latency like 30 seconds and it will be fine.

Actually we don't put latency on bets but the actual leaderboard page only updates every 15 minutes. So even if you do try to snipe the 1st position right at the end you won't know excatly how much you need to wager to do so
