1  Other / Off-topic / Mt. Gox bankruptcy claim purchasing on: April 18, 2018, 05:12:49 PM
I received a message from a company buying up Mt. Gox bankruptcy claims. Has anyone else gotten these? Are these for real?
2  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Monetization Idea for Electrum on: January 04, 2017, 07:49:31 PM
electrum2.villocq.com

That's what I thought. Be aware that the donation of 5.8999 BTC was actually a mistake... In general, running an Electrum server is not profitable. I think only a couple of people actually break even, I don't.
3  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Monetization Idea for Electrum on: January 04, 2017, 06:12:04 PM
I would love that Electrum developers get supported the same way server holders are getting quite some lengthy donations as you can see in the picture below which is an address used for receiving donation from electrum users. I am a fan of banner ad too below the last part of the window of the electrum wallet but I see it's not welcome by the electrum developer so I respect him and his idea.

Which server is that?
4  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum server discussion thread on: March 22, 2016, 07:13:48 PM
The fact that there are less than 50 servers scares me quite a bit.
What happens if all the Electrum servers go offline?

If all 50 servers disappear, you can still set up your own Smiley

And with that one I can then send my BTC to a non-light wallet, by making a last transfer from Electrum to another BTC address, right?
Indeed.

OK, thank you Smiley
However, aren't 50 server a bit few?
I mean, I didn't have performance problems up to now, but in the future?

The Electrum developers will probably tackle that if it ever becomes a problem, don't worry Smiley

Can it be that VPN-Server block Electrum server by default? I had often problems when using HideMyAss VPN with electrum but mostly i could simply chose another ip, so another server and it worked again. But today this did not work and i had to disable the vpn in order to access electrum. They otherwise would not connect.

So are serverproviders, where hidemyass is renting servers from, ban electrum ip's? I wonder what's the reason for that if true.

Isn't that something you should ask them?

Hi,

I have just finished Electrum LTC server up and running, but I have" small" issue left.

All working fine when I connected to Electrum client from localhost.
But I like to get work also as public server.

The problem is that, TCP and SSL sockets could not open...I don't know why.

IRC connect is OK.
"electrum-ltc-server peers" -command prints my nick name correctly.
Port forwarding has done to these two ports (50001 and 50002) and iptables should be ok. Also ports 50001 and 50002 are open.

Could someone help me with this issue?

Thank you!

Problem solved.
Configuration problem on /etc/electrum-ltc.conf -file.

Should be:
"host = 192.168.1.33"
not FQDN address.

Also, there's no support whatsoever for Electrum and altcoins here...

I believe I am correctly running a public Electrum node at btc.mustyoshi.com:50001

You server doesn't seem to be connected on IRC... So no, you're not correctly running a public Electrum node Smiley

There is absolutely no support for Electrum altcoins...

The error message from C++ Runtime Library still exists in electrum 2.0.4.

R6034 An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly.

This happened with 2.0.3 too. The error message shows up every time i start an electrum wallet.

I have this exact same message in Windows with 2.0.4...

15  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS] KnC Neptunes + 2 Antec 1300W PSU per Neptune on: November 10, 2014, 12:12:43 PM
I'm selling 2 complete KnC Neptunes (5 cubes + controller board) and 2 Antec 1300W PSU per complete Neptune.

Anybody interested? I'm not sure how much to ask for this...

Edit: I'm getting extremely ridiculous offers on this... I'm hoping to get at least 4 BTC per Neptune (and I'll throw in the PSUs for free then). They are located in Belgium.
16  Local / Markt / Te Koop: 2x KnC Neptune + 2x Antec PSU per Neptune on: November 10, 2014, 12:04:10 PM
Hoi,

Ik verkoop 2 KnC Neptune miners inclusief 2x Antec 1300 Watt voedingen per Neptune. Ik heb geen idee hoeveel ik kan vragen, eventueel verkoop ik ze per opbod...

Enige interesse?

@Inaba

You do realize that none of what you're posting here is helping your company (or cause) right? Instead of trying to improve the public image of BFL, you're only strengthening (in my case) the negative view I already have of you and BFL. You're asking Dogie for proof, but you're not providing any yourself that things are better/different now.

Is it possible to patch the memory allocation bug manually, in the previous version of electrum-server? I attempted to update to the new version but ran into problems, including permission errors.

I really think what this project needs is a release cycle. The version on github is a development version. That's fine but we are going to get frustrated if we try and use it as a production version. I gave up running the new server, if there was a stable tag I would have gone back to that.

I did think of taking a known good version, scripting all setup, and putting it in a docker container. That way setting up a new server would be as easy as 'docker run blahblah/electrum-server' and waiting until it set itself up.

I've been running an Electrum server for almost 2 years now and to be honest it's been running very stable. Yes, there are the occasional bugs, but they are solved quickly by Thomas. You should hang out in the IRC channel though to follow up on the latest developments..

BE == Belgium yes Smiley

I'm hoping to sell this lot in 1 bid...
