72 hours work for most surfaces, but not for all. On different surfaces the virus lives at different times. For example, on stainless steel and plastic, it can live up to seven days. This is the latest information I read.
222  Other / Off-topic / Re: Share Good Movies Please? on: April 08, 2020, 07:30:02 AM
Given the current pre-crisis times, I think a good choice would be The Big Short (2015).
223  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Time to learn on: April 05, 2020, 09:06:25 AM
Judging by the quality of some of the topics in the off-topic section, some would really do well to start learning. For some authors, there is a clear lack of basic knowledge about the structure of anything.

Why is illiteracy gaining popularity in this world? how ashamed I am to read about all this.
225  Other / Off-topic / Re: Protein puzzle game called Foldit turns up 99 promising ways to confound corona on: April 05, 2020, 08:54:33 AM
So I guess, this news doesn't matter that much.We will have to wait for a year or two before an effective cure and a vaccine against coronavirus are successfully tested and launched in mass production.

There will never be a vaccine.

SARS has been around since 2002. We have no vaccine for SARS in 18 years. Corona being very similar to SARS.

Anything said about a corona vaccine is false hope or a cash grab imo.
Well yes. But herbal essence will certainly help us in this fight. Sure.
226  Other / Off-topic / Re: Protect yourself from various covid-19 conspiracy theories on: April 05, 2020, 08:47:28 AM
I do appreciate the heads up to different threads and the warnings about covid-19

But i want to contribute; from my own observations, social media marketers, some influencers etc have decided to feed people with an unimaginable amount of bullshits that can be justified by pairing together random events; in a bid to gain more followers.

And i am sure one way or the other, you have had people send in different audios, articles and video clips to you revealing conspiracy theories about covid-19. This is done just to cause panics.

1. If there is indeed a conspiracy, there is nothing that can be done by you, so you have nothing to worry about than to stay safe and care for your family.
2. If anyone were so informed, then the pandemic would have been stopped before the outbreak, so i reiterate, save yourself from any unnecessary podcast spreading fear, be concerned about your own survival.
3. There are rumors and videos  spreading that facemasks are not save anymore and that china did that intentionally, still you cannot change anything,

All you have to do is stay safe, focus on the nature of the problem, ignore peoples version of the theory. and STAY SAFE.
You canít imagine how tired of all these theories flowing from everywhere. I am glad that I am not alone in this. Nice tips.
227  Other / Off-topic / Re: How can you help on: April 03, 2020, 11:58:26 AM
Yes, that sounds rational. After all, many of us are sitting at home, we spend less calories than usual, so we can safely share our "one serving of food per day" with those who need it now for any reason. Itís so simple. We are all one.
228  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is your Satoshi theory? Deceased or alive & well on: April 03, 2020, 07:44:38 AM
Theories must be based on at least some facts. They need a foundation. It is unlikely that we have anything here except speculation.

But we can freely speculate on this topic. I think that he is now reaping the rewards of his brainchild and living a good life.
229  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you read about crypto? Favorite sources? on: April 03, 2020, 07:35:39 AM
I mainly learn news from Reddit, CoinDesk and this forum. Practice shows that almost the same news is published everywhere, so I just choose the option which presentation I like more.

I just started reading Reality Transurfing. I highly recommend it to everyone!
231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: A problem with ETN exchange on: April 02, 2020, 11:43:08 AM
I personally would not recommend using etn, since this currency is really not so widely used at present. As you say, many exchange problems can arise. In this case, when you use a popular currency, you can always exchange this currency without any problems on any exchanger convenient for you, as you said, such as coinbase or changelly. Personally, I use changelly, although there are other similar exchangers.
232  Other / Off-topic / Re: Dating thread on: April 02, 2020, 07:01:31 AM
Online dating is no worse than classic, and in some aspects even better. For example, you will know some of the information about a person in advance. Even before the first date, itís already possible to make a superficial opinion about a person and to approximately understand whether this person will be of interest to you, well, and then no one will forbid you to transfer everything into live communication and real dates.
233  Other / Off-topic / Re: What are you doing at quarantine? on: April 01, 2020, 08:06:55 AM
You know, during the quarantine, I became a superhuman. I know how to do everything in my house. But the ideas to make myself fun are starting to end.
Share who's doing what's interesting at this difficult time.
Use Duolingo to improve your knowledge of foreign languages. It provides a theory in a very convenient and pleasant form, which you immediately consolidate in practice, gradually improving your skill.
234  Other / Off-topic / Re: What Series are you seeing currently? on: March 30, 2020, 01:47:38 PM
my friend recommended that I watch friends. what are your thoughts about it ?

This is a classic series that is always fun to watch!
235  Other / Off-topic / Re: Corona self-awareness on: March 30, 2020, 04:05:58 AM
How can a regular website be at least somewhat similar in terms of performance to a real test? Do not mislead people. If you want to test yourself, consult a qualified doctor.
236  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to identify fake news on: March 30, 2020, 04:02:16 AM
Reasonable advice. Now there is a lot of fake news everywhere, so these tips can come in handy for many people to distinguish a fake from a good article.
237  Other / Off-topic / Re: Tips for Working From Home During COVID-19 on: March 30, 2020, 03:58:39 AM
All in all, helpful tips. True, many of them have been spoken out many times in many sources.
238  Other / Off-topic / Re: Weed or cigarettes on: March 30, 2020, 03:55:31 AM
None is better. The question should be "which is worst?", not "which is better?". Or "which is less damaging your body?".

In this case I'd say cigarettes are less nocive. Being a drug, weed is worst, damaging your brain cells. Cigarettes are bad as well, damaging your lungs, but I think they harm you less compared with weed. Cigarettes are a social drug (similar to alcohool), an accepted one, while weed is entirelly considered a drug, and it is accepted only in a few parts of the world.

I'm with you, man.

The use of both of these doesn't pass without consequences for the body. So I see no reason to look for the best among the worst.
239  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trump the Coronavirus USD killer on: March 29, 2020, 07:14:45 AM
Trump thinks by printing more money he is helping his economy all it means is long run bigger financial crash which = bigger bitcoin success and digital currencies.

Everyone to him is just another stat on his list
Trump is not the first person to start doing this. It seems to me not fair to blame only him on everything.
240  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which crypto pair do you swap most often? on: March 29, 2020, 07:08:31 AM
In my opinion, the number of exchange pairs still correlates with the quality of service. Take, for example, Changelly. The service has a rather impressive number of exchange pairs, for most of which it also offers good rates. These things not least affect the usability of the service by the client, as all the coins necessary for him are collected in one place. As a result, a beginner can easily handle the swao. I think this can be considered a sign of quality service.
