Break a couple of dozen desks, and then it will pass when you get tired of buying new ones. Here you have to either sit down and thoroughly comprehend your life and priorities or go to a qualified specialist that will do it for you.
Even if someone in your team is really doing it wrong, then why the hell should your poor desk suffer from this. It didn't do anything bad to you.

Samsung (and any other android) is an open platform. This is a phone that you can use almost anything. Sometimes even as a flash drive when it is not at hand. With an iPhone, this is no longer possible. It will not forbid you to do something with yourself, just because the company does not allow it (I remember how it couldn’t banally transfer photos on Bluetooth. What a shame). Fussing with iTunes in order to download music to the phone and the almost complete lack of the ability to download it from there. Or the song that you put in iTunes simply did not appear in the playlist and you have to restart the phone. While on a regular phone you threw it in a folder with music and it worked without additional manipulations. It got ridiculous. My iPhone did not perceive the original cable in my car and refused to broadcast music, because it considered this cable a pirate fake. And so in everything. At one point, I was just tired of all this. iPhones used to be innovative devices. They had their own distinctive features. Now it’s just the same cell phones as everything else. Yes, iPhones work fast and have excellent cameras, but in this price segment, almost all mobile phones have such characteristics. So choosing between a phone that does not allow you to fully use and a device that is completely open for you at one price, I prefer the second.

I heard that some people (like Elon Musk) sleep for 4 hours in order to have more time to do things during the day. Is it dangerous to health?
Of course, it’s dangerous. The body and brain must at least sometimes rest. Constant lack of sleep will slow down your brain more and more, and as a result, these supposedly saved hours will not help you in any way, because your productivity will be much lower than the prescribed level. I myself try to sleep at least 7 hours a day.

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A game that educates people about Bitcoin
|
on: February 22, 2020, 03:39:00 PM

Hi all, I recently started working on an educational game that informs the player about some of the important concepts about bitcoin and am looking for some feedback. The target player is not an engineer or an economist, but a person on the street that still believes fiat is good and that we are fine with money controlled by the state. The game is designed as a series of conversations between two people, one asks questions and the other responds. The responses almost always include a mini game where the player solves a simple task to understand the concept. For example, the first game is a simple "scratch the screen" game to reveal the bitcoin emission schedule. Here's a list topics for which I am currently developing mini games: - Inflation hedge. Digital Gold.
- How to pay using Bitcoin. No need for Credit Cards or banks.
- How payments work - mining intro.
- Double spending is almost impossible.
- Censorship resistance.
- Fleeing a war zone with bitcoin.
- Keeping it safe. Secret sharing.
- Purity of bitcoin vis a vis gold purity tests.
- Address the fear of losing coins.
- Anonymity and privacy.
- No banks or state or single miner or developer regulates Bitcoin. Essentially, "no one" regulates Bitcoin.
Would love to get any input on the list if topics. Is there something I am missing as the first introduction to someone new to bitcoin? Is there something I should take out? Thanks in advance for any thoughts. This is a great idea. In a playful and informal way, knowledge is transferred much easier. Quite a good list to start with. Although, the last point can be argued. I’m not sure about regulation, but you can definitely manipulate it, having huge resources for that. Be that as it may, I wish you success in your endeavor.

I prefer to avoid online casinos. I do not believe that there is anything to win. Most likely you will leave all the money there.

I worked a 16 hour shift 6 am - 10 pm. But it was not difficult for me, on the contrary, I liked this work! We worked in the reserve almost in the wild! We had a great company of people, we laughed a lot, had fun and worked well. We made trails, river crossings and more. I worked like this for almost 3 months. And I still remember those days with a smile!

Amazon is one of the world's biggest polluters and has absolutely zero interest in preventing climate change, beyond maintaining a facade of ethical concern and accountability purely for PR purposes..
Even if it’s true, why shouldn’t it help in the fight against climate change? From this act it follows that he at least understands what his company is doing and is trying to at least somehow make amends. In your opinion, in such a situation, you have to sit out your ass and do nothing?

And this just crossed my mind now: maybe I'll start also a gang here - the movie-watchers gang. I'm in. A couple of years I am fond of movies and everything related to this. By the way, do any of you know the guys from the Corridor Crew?

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How many coins do you mine? Why?

I'm mining RandomX coins with free miner xmr-stak-rx(0% dev fee). I mine 2 coins at a time one week I mine Monero and Another week I mine Loki. The shitcoins are the ones which are young and have low-market cap right now, they might not much profitable as compare to current price but they are profitable in the long-term.
It turns out that even shitcoins can prove to be good in the future. I understood you. I'll try to look for suitable coins on exchanges. Thanks!

I think we must make every effort to protect ourselves from direct exposure to the virus. Take preventive measures, wash hands after contact with public objects. Do not overload your body so that it has the strength to resist the virus. Examine symptom information and disseminate it whenever possible.

I know one good VPN called HMA. It has a free mode with several countries and a paid mode with a lot of options for countries. It is quite convenient to use.
