Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What effect will changing the block size from 32 to 5 have on SC?

I don't know how it can be considered a lie. I asked a question. Still thanks for clarifying that the Glorious leader "only" gets 0.9624 SC from the King block while the miners get (combined) 6.4148 SC from the peasant block. So you are right it is "only" a 15% mining tax now. Pretty funny that the only thing going up is the rate of taxation! I mean ScamCoin has only been around a month and taxes have already increased 50%. "It's good to be King" - King Louis XVI And it's 0.6416 total ... or do I need to teach you how to read that as well. Or is that your new defense? Continue spreading filth you hear from other people but you really didn't know you just assumed they were right and you didn't fact check? Asking a nice "bunny" question, where is the repository of all of this information in a clearly set out spot? Is there a nice FAQ saying what the framework is; like the taxes, revals, even vs odd blocks, different versions or even information about the "issuer" of SC? It might then have the 0.6416 number and the % of an individual's effort going as a "tax" (I would prefer the word impost) Most organisations have this kind of thing if they want people to adopt their product/idea.

In Classical Studies at university they touched on the christian bible and to get people to read it they packed it full of violence, sex and all the things that make a good read. Over time the books were selectively weeded out.

As I said, there's also the issue of assuming every one of these free energy things is invented in US, or in a country that supresses them. Competing governments like China, North Korea, or Iran would LOVE to get their hands on this tech just to show up the western countries. Why aren't these inventors selling to them?
The obviou answer is: maybe it's a load of bullshit? The key word is still "Bologna". I'm missing something PG. What's wrong with Bologna? I've driven past it once, on the way to Milan on the only time I have been in Europe, and one of my colleagues did a semester for her international commercial masters in law there - she liked the food.

I sent them (seti) an email back in July when they were doing a fund raiser - never heard anything back.
Thinking about it again, of the 70 to 100 projects out there, some are always after donations. There is a guy Tobias who runs "FreeHal at Home" who always seems to want someone to cover his bandwidth costs - you could try him.

Just curious. Where did you get those figures?
Generation cost number come from my day job - but they are around in various published reports. You local energy regulator probably has them in some form on their web site. The big thing to note is Rossi hopes to have small scale units available for $100 per kW, or just 5% of conventional generation capacity.

470 KWh for $2 million, I guess I will burn coal No, the design was 1000kW for $2M. Coal is about $1000/kW plus fuel costs (depending on currency). Hydro power works out closer to $4000/kW and wind $1500/kW - these are for industrial/large scale installations. Don't confuse capacity and output. Having read the early reports, it's still in the highly skeptical range of devices. First time one gets into the hands of "public" for real testing will prove or burst the bubble.

Joecoin,
Spacy and Psy are both SC fans, so don't worry about them
By now it's relatively old news that RS bans anyone who he disagrees with.
No, I'm not. Point me to a post where I say I like Solidcoin. I think you are confusing me not liking douchebagexpress with me liking solidcoin. Was just pointing out that the OP is a crybaby. Should users banned from Bitcointalk.org open threads at other forums complainting that they were banned? FFS... And why is this in the alt currencies forum? At most it should be in Off-Topic. Having followed this soap-drama for a while I was interested to see this comment about Psy's attitude to SC. While I tend not to read Psy's posts too closely because they have lower entertainment value, they can easily be read as pro-SC. Wasting some of my weekend and drinking coffee I had a look at the post log and they are right - anti-bitcoinexpress, but not pro-SC. More coffee now

Say someone had a million SC and complete control of SC source code. Say this person knows SC is dead. He could implement a "bug" which locks all the wallets and then use that vacuum to sell off his SC before the price drops.
Bingo, it's not a bug and locking the wallets is what he did to me two days after launch. Um, I agree, where is the normal BitcoinExpress? Very odd.

Economists generally agree...
This made me LOL LOL +1 - I work in an "economics shop" although I am not an economist, and the practical evidence is economists don't agree on almost everything. There are some areas where there is aggregation of opinions.

and another happy Gox user finally gets something resolved in public
I dodge Gox as a preference because they don't inspire any real confidence, especially since their hack fiasco. I didn't lose funds or coin, but the delay in transferring money around just smelled too much like they have an underlying problem that I don't want to be victim of. Yes, I did lose 3BTC when they did the BitPLN acquisition because their system could work out the difference between accounts, and they play favourites for some of their users, but they are making some money and if they wanted to abscond with a huge amount of coin, it would crash the value immediately - they'd have to take the cash and that would be real crime. But while this is still wild-west, lawless trading and there are no accounts/records or protections, people lose sometimes.
