1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Promote Bitcoin..... It is for "us" on: January 15, 2020, 07:04:34 AM
I dont think we still need to promote it. There are many services that you can use Bitcoin even paying your bills right now depends on the country  and they are many online store accepting bitcoin mode as payment . What kind of advertisment you still want to see?
this might be true, but don't we all dream to see bitcoin fully adopted by all?
If yes, I think it's the best to promote bitcoin, because there are people who do not know about it, trust me

3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: They want your Bticoin. Don't fall for this new scam, it's too real on: January 08, 2020, 08:15:14 AM
The rate of desperation in the cryptocurrency industry is really hitting the roof.

I decided to take this medium to enlighten users to protect themselves and their assets against a new scam in town.

A guy by name "Allen Stanley" messaged me on telegram.
He said he wants us to make money together.
I told him to go on, he said he works with Betxloot.com,a crypto betting site.

He said he could make anyone he likes to win the bet, that he can proof it if I want, but I had to create an account on the above site and bet with at least $70.

He said he would have done it himself, but the team already knew him and his wallet address, so he wanted to make another person win and share in the winning 50/50.

I told him I didn't have such money, so he insulted me, after which I told him to bring the $70 for the betting, then he will take 60% if he makes me win.

He told me to give him my username on the site, which I did, immediately he sent $70 to my dashboard.
He told me to place a bet, which I did, when the bet which lasts about 2mins was up, he made me a winner.

I won $4998, he dropped his btc address and told me to withdraw and then send his 50%, to me it was too good to be true.

So I attempted to withdraw to my btc wallet, and a message popped up, it read "because it's a new account, your assets are frozen, you will have to deposit about $100 - $170 to unfreeze your account.

When I showed him a screenshot, he pretended as though it was random, he started persuading me to deposit $100 to unfreeze the account,so I could withdraw the huge sum I had won.

I believe by now you too have come to understand that it is a scam site, Allen Stanley is working to get people deposit $100 to get a winning that is not real.

Even other members of the platform were chatting of a game that doesn't exist, making it seem like a normal activity, which we already know they are all part of this scam group.

Please do not fall for this new scam betxloot.com, they might want to entice you with huge winnings, but a they want us your btc, don't give in.

A lot of people in this crypto space are just looking for ignorant individuals to scam them. Once they realize that you don't really have enough knowledge and understanding on how the entire crypto space operates, they take advantage of you to scam you off the little bitcoin you have in your wallet.  And greediness of people make them vulnerable to such scams...
Honestly, all the explanation said by the OP i dont think this is an act of scamming ignorant individuals because the scenario was pretty cool and even the most smart person in the wirld may fall for it before understanding the whole scenarios.
@OP, it good you share this situation but i think the forum still need you to provide the screen shot of you conversation with the scammer for proper evidence.

That's for those looking for the screenshot of our conversation.
 Everything is made available there.

I decided to dedicate myself to this so as to make sure anyone doesn't fall for this.
I didn't fall for the scam, but I played along so I can get all these info about them
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: They want your Bticoin. Don't fall for this new scam, it's too real on: January 08, 2020, 07:48:32 AM
Thanks for sharing this, if one will message me regarding this and deposit money for sure I will think it's true too because of they money that you won. Anyway, good thing you remind us here, it will be a great help for all of us not to fall into this another scam scheme.  Scammers are really clever and will do anything for people to believed them.
that is very true, they keep advancing, so we all have to buckle up

yes it's very clear of fraud, You must make this thread in the scam section: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0 hopefully there are no victims, I also really hate scams, You must provide the fraudulent sitelink or deceptive profile, so we can find out the person or site.
I will do that, to avoid people from falling into it

this was an obvious scam I bolded the reason why.

It is easy to create multiple wallets multiple emails and multiple accounts on most any website.

When he said he had an account and was known by the website and needed a new account name to hide from the website that was a red flag.
In fact If he could win anytime he wold just make a different account and wallet to do so.

take a look at my signature and realize that he simply could have 2 or 3 or 4 or more accounts.  I have multiple accounts here.

Well you only lost 100 bucks  lesson learned fairly cheaply.
I didn't lose any, because I never u froze the account, I refused to do it, he is still persuading me

I've never had any dealings with anyone in the Telegram about money before.Any message from someone even indirectly hinting at making a profit, immediately forces me to send this person to the ban.Alas, it is a pity that You fell for such a trick.
I didn't say I fell for it buddy, I just decided to play along. If I didn't play along I wouldn't have gotten this much info an UT thrm to share at the first place.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: They want your Bticoin. Don't fall for this new scam, it's too real on: January 05, 2020, 07:26:36 PM
I am not sure whether this is perfectly fit for scam accusations bored but I believe everyone should aware of this kind of scams and we should not believe the telegram messages and direct personal message on this bitcointalk board as well.
we need to analyse the project and trustworthiness of the person who ever contact you.
It is already obvious, you can check the site out yourself to determine whether it's scam or not.

They are looking for people who can't control themselves when the see huge money proof, and then can do anything afterwards, to get it.

I only shared this so a lot of newbies and users can learn to overcome this.

To prove it, another contacted me this afternoon for exact same thing, that isn't a coincidence.
When I accused him of scam, he deleted the whole account.

It's becoming too rampant, the telegram name doesn't matter anymore, as they can easily create a new account.

Another messaged me some mins. after I dropped this topic.

The main point is that we a need to be on the look out, this is a new wind, don't fall into it.

Definitely it will, it might take a while, but it will get there.
Btc has come a long way and the journey has not been very smooth, but one thing is certain, it always triumphs
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: YouTube admits error over Bitcoin video purge on: December 28, 2019, 06:47:03 PM
I knew it. It seemed a bit random.
I knew there was no way YouTube could exempt itself from the revolution that crypto brings
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why YouTube Bans Bitcoin &Crypto Videos? on: December 26, 2019, 07:55:37 PM
From the information you provided, I don't really think it is only crypto related videos that are affected, others might be too.
Crypto is here to stay, lol
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who holds the most bitcoins? on: December 26, 2019, 07:39:41 PM
I think, this is very difficult to determine.
Knowing the person with the highest number of Bitcoin in my own opinion, is impossible.
 At least at this stage.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best ways of bringing Bitcoin to non-crypto users on: December 21, 2019, 01:28:19 PM
I believe to achieve this, we need to show them the unlimited benefits of bitcoin.
With the evidence, they would want to enjoy the benefits too
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DID I MAKE A MISTAKE INVESTING IN BITCOIN? on: December 21, 2019, 12:55:45 PM
but those who bought back when it was still $100 only are busy enjoying the entire game.
Pretty sure those people have already sold their Bitcoins at 2017 when the price was really peak at that moment. There is no reason to still keep it on this bearish market, unless those Bitcoins are frozen or stolen.

Now that the price of Bitcoin has been hovering in a trough, gossip says that some institutions have started investing in cryptocurrencies.
You shouldn't believe to gossip lol, it doesn't make sense to believe to gossip because everyone can make one as well you too.
So you saying that it ain't smart hodling btc at the moment?
I believe a lot of people will disagree with you
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin isn't just an investment, it is the future on: December 13, 2019, 04:38:10 AM
bitcoin is a future that cannot be valued with money alone, I am a person who doesn't care about the price of bitcoin going up and down until now, always relaxed and patient, staying focused on the development of the community to use crypto currencies so that more and more adoption, since 2012 I gathered a lot of people and a large community for bitcoin in my country to date, many of my communities are in this forum to learn more, well we know that bitcoin is not just an asset to invest in the short term sometimes bitcoin can be said to be the best investment in the long run long, bitcoin can never be controlled by the government so just develop your community all in your country
Yeah, you are right, with great level of development and of course time, Bitcoin will become unbeatable
