1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [RPC] RONPAULCOIN SINCE 2013, COMMUNITY-DRIVEN BLOCKCHAIN-POWERED on: April 11, 2020, 06:05:55 AM
If anyone is a RPC bagholders here
could you drop me a msg here please...we need to get ourselves
together to see if we can get some form of way forward

We have no driver of this bus anymore...RPC's creator has fled
and set fire to everything on the way out

I think we would need at least 50% of coin holders to bring about
any change to this coin...getting bagholders contact details together
would be a good start

cheers grant

This is most awesome news that the accounting software is done and nearly ready
to be switched on...thanks Kano

I know this is a long time in coming but ultimately this ends up being just a few
cents to maybe a couple of dollars. I do not think anyone has a substantial amount of unpaid "dust"

Well, I have over .3btc in "dust" as I erroneously mined here for over a month
nearly 2 and a half years ago

I have kept mining here ever since then, even though most of the last year it was
costing me more to run my s9's and t9's than I was earning from them after
paying hosting fees in Iowa

When I get it I will probably update the old s9's and t9's to a few s17, but will have to send
them further north to avoid the trump tax in Iowa, BTW is there any demand for a few old s9/t9
units in Bettendorp, s9's running two boards t9's appear all good...all early models

cheers

Mousehouse...check out the bottom graph here

https://siastats.info/mining_pools.html

I got the same huge number of errors last night, it correlates
with the pool and whole systems hashrate falling off a cliff

This has happened to me a couple of times now and also
seems to be at the same time as the other dips in network hashrates

Last night was by far the worse, since this event my miner has run
again perfectly for around 8 hours, with few errors

I have always had my miner running at 400 to 500 since new,

Neo-geo, did you get this issue last night or were you somehow immune

cheers
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [NEW] Bitmain Announces Antminer A3 on: February 04, 2018, 09:12:22 PM
My experience with the A3: Total of 4 purchased direct from Bitmain. All are overclocked by +668, running in a 2-car garage with the door closed and zero ventilation, along with 4 other ASICs and 1080 Ti x16 GPUs. Mining non-stop since January 27th with zero reboots, averaging > 900 GH/s per A3. Have no choice but to give it 5/5 stars so far.

Could be because of the clean power: all are fed dedicated 220V 30A, 2 units are using EVGA 1600W T2, rest are on AW3++. Also keep the units low to the ground where the cool air stays, tho the garage stays around 90F+ (outside temps are 50F). Bitmain says operating temps max out at 104F, so fine solution until Spring/Summer.

Haha nice.

My A3's been acting up ever since day one and I think a hashboard just died on me. Temperatures are really low, with the outside cold the chip temps are ±60C. I see spikes in HW errors on all boards (bursts of 10k's of errors, leading to stale/invalid shares, and the one with the least amount of errors just left the building... Weird!

I would like to order 10 to Australia

I tried to order batch one when you opened the orders for that batch
but after 3 or 4 messages, which you replied to, I never got a payment
address, so I gave up

Are you still handling Oceania yourself?

how do I order
6  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Bitminter bitcoin mining pool - Pays TxFees, Merged Mining, Fair PPLNS rewards on: November 12, 2017, 04:32:41 AM

Holey guacamole batman

All hail Indss

Miner of what I believe is the fatest block ever
in all bitcoin history 13.4btc in transaction fees

Thanks again Dr Haribo for all your work keeping
this pool running.

Hopefully this will bring some more hash power to
the pool, but I am more than comfortable mining
in this lotto pool either way, big or small

cheers

Never seen 13btc transaction fees before

8  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: first bitmain antminer S10 speculation thread (probably) on: November 05, 2017, 07:54:50 AM

I would really like bitmain to bring back a home miner

The world has run out of hosting and you cant run
S9's at home and stay married.

Why cant bitmain keep their promise from a few years
back and make new boards for the old S2's.

Today, I rummaged through the garage and dug
out an old S2, opened it up, blew it out and decided
to run 6 boards in it, to give more space between them.

PSU flashed up nicely, then decided to see how it ran
without the lid on and fans disconnected, it ran too hot.
So reconnected the two intake fans only and put the lid back
on.  It is running great, 50 degrees and very quite considering

Now 6 boards/blades with current chips would work
great, probably around 1TH per board, making this a
true home miner, and could do what the earlier miners
do, ie home heating, you could mine at home and
still remain married

I am sure there would be enough demand for the boards
and they should not be too hard to make, and they would
be cheaper to ship and you could buy a few at a time and
get around customs duties as well

Win, Win, Win all round

Would it make sense to have a payment system in which the user who solves a block for the pool, gets an additional reward, i.e. 0.5 BTC or even 1 BTC?

This way there would be extra incentive to join, being given a shot at hitting a small jackpot without having to to mine solo against astronomical odds, while not taking away too much from the pool in relative terms?

I don't know if this has been discussed or done before, or even is being done... I think it could do well for the dynamic of a pool.

There was a pool exactly like this, called triplemining
It ceased operating 2 or 3 years back

I loved the pool and did well from it, sadly it became
to small and insignificant, but it died brightly, we found
2 blocks in quick succession at the end, a couple of s3's
earnt me nearly 2btc for that last week, those were the
days

Hey guys, can anyone recommend me a good place to buy a bunch of BCH coins so that I can buy some more miners?  Because bitmain only have been accepting the BCH as the payment method lately!  Angry

I have used shapeshift a couple of times, though can take a few hours if your unlucky.
The first time I used them the transaction was almost instant, this last time it took
a couple of hours

I wont vouch for them, but they have worked for me

The problem I have is finding hosting, I would love to buy a
few more, but have nowhere economical to run them
11  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: BEST PRICE Antminer L3+, D3, S9, NETWORK equipment IN STOCK (asic24.com) on: September 05, 2017, 11:17:52 AM
Yeah, right, we are the ones with the credibility issues

We are the one who is asking punters to part with thousands
or many thousands of dollars, for something that you only
say that you have, and have basically no safeguards in place
to protect their money or BTC

Yeah, right,  I am going to post my passport here for you to see

It doesn't matter who I am, my only aim here is to stop
scammers from fleecing unwary people keen to get into
crypto mining.

Anyway, I hope Tommy does let us know how he goes
with the meet up with Sean, but i would be surprised if
he did say anything else here

If i was to review asic24.com I would say it was almost certainly a scam,
and I would be very concerned if I had bought anything from you of
it ever turning up

Hi Tommy, I was going to ask if you would be able to ask you uncle
to go around and see if Sean was there, and if he knows anything about
bitcoin miners, I was going to offer to pay for the fuel and a few pints

But I just noticed that you have only been registered here for an hour
or so yourself, so the answer may be inconclusive anyway

is this site reliable?

spend 5 minutes reading the thread

asic24 website is brand new

He wont prove he has ever delivered a miner to anyone

We cant prove that that he has ever failed to deliver a miner

He says that he has been running a online store since 2011
but wont tell us what it is, or give any feedback from all
the miners he has sold

We know he used someone else's pics for his ebay listing

The Polish address is also shared by a 'Virtual office leasing company'

ebay seems to have removed his listing and contacted those
either bidding or who enquired, over possible fraudulent activity

You decide if the site is reliable
15  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: BEST PRICE Antminer L3+, D3, S9, NETWORK equipment IN STOCK (asic24.com) on: September 04, 2017, 11:31:14 AM

You came here trying to sell millions of dollars of miners

You had no history of selling miners here
or on ebay, which you implied you did

You have to earn trust first

We don't have to have proof of anyone not receiving a miner

You have to prove that you have sold and delivered
them before to multiple parties

You have offered no proof of even selling one miner "anywhere"

The onus of proof was on you...and you failed
16  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: BEST PRICE Antminer L3+, D3, S9, NETWORK equipment IN STOCK (asic24.com) on: September 04, 2017, 10:18:47 AM

Unfortunately scams in the bitcoin world are far too common,
damaging both individuals and Bitcoin itself.

The huge demand and huge prices of miners and the fact that
now most miners are on orders for months in advance before being
delivered to the resellers, gives huge opportunities for unscrupulous
peoples or organisations to scam those looking to purchase miners
of many thousands of dollars, in many cases life savings down the
drain.

I am not prepared to just stand aside when I see something that
I believe is fraudulent from happening.

In your case iminlovewiththedj, I tried to get some answers to
my questions to give you the benefit of the doubt.  You didnt
alleviate my concerns.  I am now almost certain this is a scam

If I am wrong, then please accept my apologies

I'm done

17  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: BEST PRICE Antminer L3+, D3, S9, NETWORK equipment IN STOCK (asic24.com) on: September 03, 2017, 10:49:24 AM

You have 24 hours to offer some proof that your address
is not a virtual office in warsaw

otherwise I will be contacting paypal, as you are
breaching their acceptable use policy by selling items
that are not in your possession

it is simply to late to wait a couple of months to
see if anyone actually gets their miners, you could
ruin many people lives savings and trust in that time

18  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: BEST PRICE Antminer L3+, D3, S9, NETWORK equipment IN STOCK (asic24.com) on: September 03, 2017, 03:20:07 AM

The only facts so far that are evidence is

that someone had an ebay account in england
that bought some items a few years ago, 57 items
from the same sellers....rings alarm bells to me

So, I googled your addresses on your website

the Polish address was right in the middle of
Warsaw, that rent must be pretty steep.

ul. al. Aleja Jana Pawła II 27,
00-867 Warszawa

Oh, I see that there are virtual offices in that building

only cost 199zl a month or thats US$55

https://goldplace.eu/galeria.html

Monthly fee   199 zł * / 240 zł   359 * / 390 zł
Company registration address: al. Jana Pawła II 27, 00-867 Warsaw (no premises or no PO box);
Correspondence service (no limits)
Email Notification of New Mail on Pickup Date

more alarm bells going off

So I have contacted a friend in Nottingham in UK
to see if he could have a look at the UK address
Unfortunately my friend is OS at present for another
2 weeks

the address on your website matches the ebay listing

57 Murray Road
Warwickshire
CV213JN Rugby
England

Name should be  Sean Murray according to ebay

Can you please show us some evidence that you rent
an office in that building in warsaw, and not a serviced
or virtual office

cheers

ok, let me get this straight

You have been selling miners for years, but you cant
give one positive feedback of any sales of miners

you copied the pic in your ebay listing

And guess what, it seems that you picked a really
bad name to start a new website

Look, it looks like there was a website called asic24.ru
from google translator, looks like it was based out of
Kaliningrad in Russia, seems to be a scam from this thread

https://forum.bits.media/index.php?/topic/30547-asic24-moshenniki/

interesting reading though, by any chance might you be

Volkov Alexey Vitalievich, or know him

Is www.asic24.com any relation to www.asic24.ru

Is asic24 a scam ?

You have offered no proof here that it isn't

If asic24.com is genuine, then sorry for putting you through the
third degreee, but as I said in my original post

I am dubious of this site

cheers, and please dont delete this thread, if you want move
it but dont delete it

20  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: BEST PRICE Antminer L3+, D3, S9, NETWORK equipment IN STOCK (asic24.com) on: September 01, 2017, 11:55:06 AM

inlovewiththedj

I have seen too many people financially hurt by scammers

It is really giving bitcoin and cryptos a very bad name

It is very easy to setup a website to sell what you do not have,
the website's can look very smick for very little, and will
fool many unwary miners and newbies.

Its all about trust, you stated here and on ebay of your
unblemished record over years selling, and saying you
"have been trusted for years"

OK, back it up, where have you been trusted.

your ebay rating is 11 from 64 positive trades

All these trades were you buying, there is not one
trade from you selling anything.  57 of these trades
were with the same seller, and that seller sells items
for as little as .99cents with free post and leaves positive
feedback for every trade.

You say you have been trusted for many years since 2006 on ebay,
over 90% of your trades were in the last 12 months,
basically before the last 12months you had no history at all.

Yes it is the same modus operandi as coinsgear.com and
bitcoins-expert.com, ebay is used to get attention to the
website of the seller, to get the unsuspecting buyer to think
that the linked or mentioned site is legitimate, or to give
credence to its authenticity and get traffic to that site

The buyer is then tempted to pay in BTC either by a discount
or in your case buy a premium of 6% charge for
anyone wanting to use paypal

I stand by my claim that coinsgear.com used the same
pic of the S9 sitting on a purple foam mat, with another
brown woven matting underneath that, did you take that
pic or did you copy it from somewhere else
Please answer this question

you say on ebay
Lets check our story on our company website asic24

OK how long has asic24 been running, there is no history
is there, what a week, and when you go to asic24 and check out your
story it says

"We started our activity in 1999. Through this years we were consistently building leader position including new products in our offer. In 2011 we launched our first e-store, and we are still gaining new experience and extending fields of our activity.

Thanks to our Partner, we are offering simple, safe and transparent purchasing process.

Our client’s satisfaction is the most important for us, that’s why we are doing our best to realize orders ASAP, and provide the best quality of our products. Thanks to involvement of our experts the purchasing in our store is pure pleasure."

OK, what was the website you started in 2011, where is the
glowing feedback from the last 6 years of selling miners

I will give you some trust, if you can show me evidence
or proof of actually selling miners on these auction sites
that you have been using for years to sell your miners

What you have offered so far proves NOTHING

It looks like you breached ebays listing policies, you mentioned
but not linked your site, and you cross sold other items being
L3+ and D3

Trust is earned over years, you have come here and said that
you are trustworthy, but shown very little to back this claim up

Prove it, before trying to sell millions of dollars of mining equipment
