Libra is just an opportunistic and centralized startup launched by a powerful company profiting at the expense of its user’s personal information. Most likely it will fail. That is what startups do. They fail 95% of the time. It does not matter if they have been created by top-notch companies. There are so many examples of the later I will not even mention them here. Bitcoin on the other hand has already "established" itself as the most successful investment of all time. Its creation was the result of the collective effort of many individuals. Its original purpose was to empower the unprivileged and allow individuals to transfer money across borders without having to be subject to any centralized institution. Maybe it has become a little centralized and an instrument for a few individuals to rip profits out of inexperienced traders, but is still miles and years ahead of a project like Libra

They are the next step in the monetary system. I think they represent a paradigm shift as big as the Copernican model or the press. Sometimes I am totally amazed by the fact that we, as a species, have not only created something as abstract as a centralized monetary system, but that we are about to trascent it. The new system will be beyond boundaries and centralized institutions and that as abstract as a series of processors repeating ad nauseam a series of algorithms.

You can't blame them. Most altcoins are startups. Startups fail on a rate of at least 95%. Proof of that is that most of the alts in the blockchain space are already dead. People burned their fingers with them last year. Most ICOs turned out to be unsuccessful and represented a total lost for most investors, except for VCs who always tried to buy tokens at the cheapest possible price to latter dump on retail investors buying the ICO or IEO. Teams also pumped their tokens and then dumped on retail investors. We saw great projects with rockstars that were a total disaster. We saw rockstars and top notch personalities create projects to later abandon them, to later create another project that will be eventually abandoned. They collected millions from investors and now the tokens are totally worthless. Even honest projects went down the drain. So, you can't blame them.

Debe haber registro de la transacción de bitcoin que le has hecho. Esa transacción es perfectamente rastreable. Si el estafador ha sacado ese dinero por medio de una cuenta de banco, ahí mismo está su identidad. Creo que la evidencia está a tu favor.

La minería en realidad está muy centralizada. Hay enormes granjas en China donde la electricidad es más costeable. Generalmente se encuentran en el norte del país en donde la temperatura es bastante baja la mayor parte del año y así se ahorran la energía requerida para el enfriamiento del equipo. El enfriamiento puede ser un serio problema en algún país con temporadas de altas temperaturas.

También tienes que considerar que el mercado puede no haber comenzado un nuevo movimiento a la alza. En tal caso perderás tu inversión o tendrás que operar con pérdidas. Toma en cuenta también que la dificultad está aumentando constantemente y eso vuelve rápidamente a los equipos obsoletos.

Lo más recomendable para los que no pueden invertir en grande sea tal vez comprar bitcoin y simplemente esperar unos 5 años a que se genere el nuevo movimiento a la alza.
