1  Economy / Gambling / Re: SurvivalBet: casino with surviving game.🎲 Play without deposit 💰 +Slot +Plinko on: June 19, 2020, 02:42:56 AM
It is kind of sad when this platform called survivalbet.online is going to shutdown when the problem is not solved. They only have 1 month to find a solution to make their platform up and running and if not the site will shutdown. I'm gonna miss playing this kind of game though It did not survive very long.

Agreed.  Very innovative, just couldnt make money.  If you find something else similar, send me a message.  Smiley
2  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: SOLOCHANCE.COM - Made this for solo miners! - Ver 1.3 on: June 07, 2020, 09:27:01 PM
Hello,

The page is no longer showing stats.  Maybe due to the server updates that were recently done?  Just wanted to let you know.  I use the site often.  Thanks.

Thanks for posting. Do you mean stats from ckpool? I just checked using manual entry and it worked.

Edit: Just checked someones address and it appears so. Will look into the update and see if I can fix it.

Appreciate it.  I have your page open all the time in a tab - great resource!
3  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: It is 2020 time for a new diff thread. on: June 06, 2020, 02:04:25 AM
Ill set it up and see what it can do as is and report back.  It is packed up now as we are moving around the middle of july to a new house a few minutes up the road.
4  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: It is 2020 time for a new diff thread. on: June 05, 2020, 04:11:28 PM
HAHA well then nevermind.  They are actually a combination of 2 - 50 watt and 1 - 100 watt renogy panels.  Had them for a few years.  I think I purchased them on Amazon.  I tinkered around with it a bit but solar is so limited for a hobbyist - unless I want to charge my cell phone or run an LED light.
5  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: It is 2020 time for a new diff thread. on: June 05, 2020, 02:15:22 AM
[...]

Amazing story - I had no idea this was a thing, let alone widespread.

I have a very small solar setup, 300 watts of panels and a deep cycle battery.  I keep it charged up for emergency use and for a hobby.  Gonna try to put one of those S9 space heaters on one and see what it does.  Probably need to put a few more panels on that thing.  But something to try.
6  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 2% fee solo mining 256 blocks solved! on: June 04, 2020, 10:50:54 PM
People have asked me how long the miner who solved the block has been mining for.  I don't know exactly since their hashrate may have fluctuated over that time. However, assuming they always mined to the same address, they currently have 2486021304645 shares. Dividing that by the current difficulty of 13732352106018.34 that means he found the block at about 18% diff, so in less than 1/5th of the expected time for the current diff.  If they've been mining with a stable 70TH all along, they've been mining for a very long time here.

It was not always 70 Th) sometimes there was a rental of about 1PH.

Congratulations on the find!
7  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 2% fee solo mining 255 blocks solved! on: May 28, 2020, 02:06:09 PM
If your intent is to win a blockfind "lottery" you're likely fine.

Pretty much, just playing with them at the moment. Had all sorts of internet problems, non related, that's put me off. Basically ran a hard cable now into the garage and I'm up and running again.

Just be mindful of electricity costs vs. chance of finding a block.  S9's suck up quite a bit of electricity.  Good luck!
8  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you consider or see yourself as a Prepper (before, now or not yet)? on: May 25, 2020, 02:23:49 AM
I am by no means a hardcore prepper.  But I learned my lesson during the April 2011 tornado outbreak.  We were without power for 9 days.  Since then, I ensure we have plenty of the following on hand:

Non-Perishable Food
Paper Products
Water
Batteries
Gasoline
Ammo

We are a family of 4 and stock up at Sam's Club.  We haven't had to buy toilet paper since COVID-19 happened.  We just grab a pack ever other trip or so.  I get batteries at Harbor Freight whenever I am out using a coupon.  For water we buy the gallons and store it in an extra room.  Gasoline is stored in the shed and I put the date when I fill and use Sta-Bil.

Okay I got paid  I am running 1 unit over night for

vickersja

will run second for him tommorow.

I will ship him two  2 board miners and 2 psu's on Tuesday via fedex I think.  I like to use fedex the clerk is hot. Wink

I have three 2 board miner's left
you can go as low as 280-290 watts
as high as 500 watts for these miners

If you are in USA and want a psu let me know.

they are about 70 plus shipping  without psu.
they are about 90 plus shipping with psu.

3 miners as heaters left.
only 2 psu's

FedEx should make that a commercial.  Wink

I wanted to give others the chance to purchase, but if there are no other takers, consider them sold!
10  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: I will be making some s9 space heaters. on: May 23, 2020, 07:44:00 PM
Thanks!  Just sent a PM.  Ill take 2 with the PSU's

Can you share the voltage and proper settings for the best/max with the quiet fans?  I think you mentioned customizable voltage in a previous post.

Yes I will set it all up and test run it over the weekend then ship on Tuesday. due to holidays.

 Please send me btc

200 usd worth to

https://www.blockchain.com/en/btc/address/146UJM5kgzLVUV23CXCf33KQKHckoX1gx3

146UJM5kgzLVUV23CXCf33KQKHckoX1gx3

Send me a pm.  and give me a btc addy to mine to on solo.ckpool

I will get this set up asap

please send me payment details and give me the btc addy to mine to>

If it hits it would be cool.

I will show the screen shots of the 2 units test running.

THIS unit below would be yours.

volts are        8.05
freq is           300
fans set to 60%  that gives a steady 1860 to 1960 rpm
watt meter says  360 watts

hash rate =  4.273

360/4.273 = 84.24 watts a th   but it will flux.  since hash rate drops to 4th and jumps to 4.5th  as hashrate does flux so you can run from 79 to 87 watts a th at this setting.

Awesome Thanks!  Sent via PM.  Looking forward to them.

Cant wait for the 2 boarders to be ready! Smiley

Phil, will you be making any more single board units or are the dual boards more efficient/quiet?
13  Economy / Gambling / Re: SurvivalBet: casino with surviving game.🎲 Play without deposit 💰 +Slot +Plinko on: May 19, 2020, 09:42:55 PM
no idea what i'm doing.    I just signed up.   I have some lumber, a bottle of water, some lemonade and a pitcher of water.

does this mean I win?   Cool

no clue..  but I'm intrigued.

HAHA.  Not quite, but that pitcher of water will help you survive, so you are well on your way.  The goal is to survive.  You do that by securing food and water through bets or map locations.  Daily bets increase with every level and you get paid in DOGE, SIN, or XLM daily after surviving for 3 days.

Chat is great too - good group of people playing the game.  Ask away and we will help out.

Dashboards have been moved to server with higher RAM. 600M on free GCloud micro instance was not enough. There was about 20 minute downtime between 15:00 and 15:20 UTC, new address is http://35.192.6.83:3000/

Any chance to add the current bitcoin price in the Bitcoin Network section?
16  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: I will be making some s9 space heaters. on: May 16, 2020, 12:31:42 AM
Thanks for the update.  Like ok sitting in the same room with your quiet?

Man  right now I am running two 2 board units. 892 watts.  and 10.3 th.  that is with volts at

8 and freq at 380 0 hardware errors.

fans are at 2100 rpm + 2100 rpm on the loud one  Grin

the other one fans are at

1260 rpm and 1800 rpm.

really quiet.

Now to be fair the psi is a corsair 1500 watt titanium  so that 892 watt reading may be  910 on a aw3++

I realized if I do them with 2 active boards and the low noise fans.

I can include the old loud fans in case of a price spike  these can become a louder more powerful miner.

so  they range from

a low of 450 watts and  5.15 th

to 800 watts and 9 th you must swap fans to go fast.

This is a nice project. So far so good.

Had to use braiins +  could not get bitmain firmware to play nice.

Did FIRST VIDEO  youtube it is  flooded with users so it will take 1 hour to up load it.

Video link

https://youtu.be/U-tLR6sEVQs

Looking forward to the video.  So to confirm, these units have a low power and high power mode but to achieve proper cooling in high power mode the fans have to be swapped out?

I personally would want the lower power and hash rate for less sound.  But good to have the option to make this more of a work horse.

EDIT:  Just watched the video.  Thanks for putting it together!  Certainly interested in using these for mining and as supplemental electric heat.

18  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 2% fee solo mining 255 blocks solved! on: May 15, 2020, 06:05:42 PM
curious - why would the miners have to pay to have the pool open?

Nobody HAD to.  They decided to pay for updated hardware.  Read back in the thread as the answer is quite clear.

this I get - but why should the pool miners pay for updated hardware vs the pool operator - who should be the one to do so, or am I wrong?

For me it is no different than pool owners/operators (or anyone else) asking for donations - except there was never an ask made.  This was grassroots to support a pool and programmer who has done a lot for miners.

There was never an expectation or ask - just a collection of funds from supporters of a pool.

I am going to donate some of my free time, instead of satoshis. Currently I am working on dashboards for CKpool.
You can see current progress here: http://35.226.27.67:3000/d/_afS1cRMk/ckpool-home

There are two dashboards:

It is in development state, so there can be some downtime. If anyone have any suggestion, if there is something missing, redundant, or some bug, feel free to tell.

Very nice.  Added my address - very sleek design.

Got an S15 in low power mode mining solo.  A shame this machine is no longer profitable with the halving.  Maybe when Bitcoin skyrockets.  Smiley
