1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Bitmain X5 on: December 02, 2023, 08:52:39 AM
I currently have one Bitmain X5 but the machine is crippled to monero only. Are there currently some development for an alternative firmware for it. Any info or teams working on it. Every info is welcome.
 Best regards

Arthur
2  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S17+ hashboard error 64 of 65 chips error on: November 18, 2021, 10:57:03 AM
Thanks for your answer. I reflashed eeprom already with my tools. I worked around 5 hours on the board and have more information now.

The RO signal from chips 65 and lower is 1,8 volt and is fine. The clk signal is fine till chip nummer 61, this is the first chip in the last voltage domain. The voltage of clk is 0 v on chips 61 and 1,8 v on chip 62 0v on chips 63 1,8 v on chip 64 and i am unsure on chips 65. When the board is heating up the clk voltages are changing to 0,9 volt sometimes.I replaced al the 5 chips of the last voltage domain already but nothing helps.  I think the strange issue with the clk voltage is connected but i do not know how.
3  Bitcoin / Mining support / S17+ hashboard error 64 of 65 chips error on: November 17, 2021, 05:50:48 PM
I have a problem with 2 s17+ hashboards having this error. I have medium knowledge and can repair 60% of all the s17+ i see my eyes on. This one drives me crazy because i tried everything what i know off.

I replaced  chip 64 and 65 3 times and chips 63 one time. RO signal is 1,8 volt  and the clk signal is ok with 0,9 volt. All normal values as i know.

I replaced the voltage regulator and little part around chip 65 as a last measure. No result. Anyone has a tip or advice what to do?
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 5.7b: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux) on: October 20, 2021, 10:57:24 AM
Thanks for your quick response. Appreciated. Not sure how fast HiveOS implements this in their software but i will looking forward to test the 5.8c version.

Hello,

I have a Nvidia CMP 170HX card which is fanless. I want to use it with phoenixminer and HiveOS but Phoenixminer gives an error that it cannot get fan speed infomation back. Any advice how to solve this problem?
We will check what can be done, perhaps to report this once and then just report 0% as fan speed without further errors. As we are making some fixes in Linux version of 5.8b for some unrelated problems, we will include this in 5.8c, which will be ready in a day or two. Note that 5.8b for Windows has no important issues so far, and will probably be the release version soon.

When should we expect new release? Can you please give us ETA so we don't panic next time when you disappear from the forum for some time?
Before the end of the year. We are monitoring the forum all the time but will only react if something extraordinary happens. It's just not possible to answer every post with questions.

I guess I'm one of the happy miners today.
I did the upgrade to 5.8b yesterday. My speed increased from 166.25 to 166.683 MH/s
Not a big gain but it is an improvement and I like it. No issues at all so far.
Been running 24 hrs.

Thanks Phoenix

Well, that's better than in our internal testing. Probably because of the more extreme timings on your cards - we keep our cards on fairly conservative timings to be sure that when something goes wrong, it's not an overclocking instability.

I bought 2 cards for $3900 dollars each from a reseller (akminer) in China. i have got them running with ethminer in hiveos currently. I always use phoenix miner for all miner other rigs and this mineris my favorite for eth. I have got them running at 440 watt at 304 MH and very stable. They need cooling so i had to place them in the air wave of my cooling system. They run at 70 degrees on this temperature with a power limit of 220 watt. Standard PL is 250 watt. The 30 watt lower costs only 4 MH but they run lot cooler.

hello,

I have got this problem with the 5.8B version.

Hello,

I have a Nvidia CMP 170HX card which is fanless. I want to use it with phoenixminer and HiveOS but Phoenixminer gives an error that it cannot get fan speed infomation back. Any advice how to solve this problem?

The exact error is Error GPU1: unable to get fan speed - Not Supported (3)

Thanks

Wow, congrats on that card. Where did you find it and for how much?

If I had this card, I would try to turn OFF the fan control from the top menu in hive os and will use these settings in the TUNING section:

Code:
-tt 0
-fcm 1

Also, you can find more commands and options for fan control and hardware control in the readme file.

If none of these options make it work, I would try with a different miner or with a different OS.
I would experiment with every single option until I made it work. Good luck.

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Memory upgrade plan Innocilicon A10 Eth miners on: July 04, 2020, 06:23:11 PM
Question guys, i am looking for a way to memory upgrade the Innocilicon A10 Eth miners. Current memory on the sold A10 Eth miners till March 2020 is 4 GB In September  the Etc dagger file will bw bigger then 4 GB and 3 weeks later the Eth dagger file have the same situation. This means the A10 miners will stop working on these coins. Anyone have knowledge about these miners?
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / INNOSILICON A10 ETHmaster 500 MH pro vs non pro on: July 03, 2020, 02:41:13 PM
Hello,

I have got 4 A10 500 MH ethminers deliverd in January 2020 When did Innosilicon decide to add the 5Gb ram to the model as the specs  of the current A10 pro model are the same as my machines. The Powerdraw is 860 watts with 500 MH hashrate. The 485 MH A10 model seems to be the old model after they upgrade it to an 500 mh Anyone know where the ram on the hashboard is located on the hashboards?

Best regard,

Arthur Verboon

Hi Chipless,

I have a dead chain in my Bitmain z11 miner. It sees the chain but it counts 0 asics on it as I studied the kerner log when booting. The other 2 chains are fine. Any tips what to do? I tried reflashing and put back al the connections already. I used your firm version 1.8 on it but i tried the original one also.
Thanks for your great work.

Best regards Arthur

Great looking forward to it. Hope to see some work on s17E models as well. Wink

Hi,
My settings of the s17 pro are: 16,3 volts on all the 3 chains. With frequenties used: #1 390 mhz #2 400 mhz #3 395 mhz tuning on chip does not work for me because red chip are moving around the chain. This means when you lower frequencies on red chips they are moving to another after reboot. And so this repeats etc.

After a 10 hours of tuning. I have got around a nice 32,5 watt a TH This is with a working temperature of 8 degrees. Looking forward for auto tuning.

Hello,

Is there in your firmware any difference from the bixbit firmware that is available? They ask an 3% developer fee and can also overcloch and undervolt the machines. For example can you tune the chips seperately in bitmain  S17 pro? What settings did you use to to get the s17 to 30w/th ? Thanks for your answer.

Hallo,

Arthur
