61  Economy / Economics / Re: Coming Changes Bitcoin will be backing USA dollars on: December 27, 2019, 01:10:35 AM
That doesn’t seem very likely to me, a more likely scenario is those countries who are trying to be detached from US dollars will put more gold or Bitcoin into their reserve, I don’t believe this is happening now either but seems more likely to me.
62  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | The Honest Online Casino | Daily Presents + $5000 Christmas Raffle on: December 24, 2019, 02:28:23 PM

Can you explain honest how? Is your casino fully decentralized?
63  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC to GOLD on: December 24, 2019, 02:22:15 PM
I wonder why this post is so popular, the conversation between gold and BTC has been around for a while, why does this continue to interest people?
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Lottoshi, The Global Lottery Is Now Live! on: December 24, 2019, 02:09:51 PM
Wow. This is the first time I heard about a lottery in the blockchain community. I saw that you only accept ETH, do you plan to accept other currency in the future? Also, I agree with some of the comments here, the UI of the websites needs to improve.

So far it’s mainly ETH, we still believe Ethereum to be the most decentralized protocol, many others compromises decentralization for scalability or speed, we understand that’s important, but we don’t want to build anything that’s not truly centralized, it defeats the purpose, so to your question, in the short term we’re not planning to accept other currencies, ETH should be widely available enough for now.

Yes we agree the UIUX has room to improve, we’re kicking off that part of the improvements already.
65  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🏆 Crypto Dice Site of the Year 2019 on: December 22, 2019, 05:42:41 PM
When will the result come out?
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Lottoshi, The Global Lottery Is Now Live! on: December 22, 2019, 05:30:21 PM
Agree in general with comments above. Lottery is still one of those very difficult areas that crypto has not yet been successful in. My idea to you, make it 0 fee/commission to the house, or even try to make it slightly +EV by just adding to the prize pool from your own funds. OR give away free tickets you pay for.

Just for the beginning. Otherwise impossible for lottery sites to start!

Thank you, at some point we might, we’re still at the stage of making sure every thing on the experience part works perfect, but your suggestion will be on our list of action items.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Lottoshi, The Global Lottery Is Now Live! on: December 22, 2019, 02:03:32 AM
i think you should move this thread into the correct section which is Service Announcements (Altcoins)
i just saw that your website offers an investing program but can you explain what is the advantages of your token?
Edit: i just saw the benefit of invest in your website on this thread

Thanks for the suggestion, we’ll consider it.
The advantage of the LTS token is simple, first of all LTS holders get 12% from all later investment by share of LTS, also 17.5% of the prize pool will also always go to LTS token holders as well. Basically LTS holders gets paid in dividends.

How would you compare Discord and Telegram, our project is trying to decide this now
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Lottoshi, The Global Lottery Is Now Live! on: December 22, 2019, 01:49:11 AM
It is indeed great about their idea but I'm not amazed by the site. I agree with the post above to let people know if it's ETH only for playing your lottery game or people can choose which cryptocurrency they would use to play whether ETH or using LTS for the lottery game. In your thread and this is what I have read "Play lottery with ETH anywhere in the world".

Yea we’ll make that a little more clear in our next version, thanks for the tip!
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Lottoshi, The Global Lottery Is Now Live! on: December 22, 2019, 01:48:05 AM
After seeing this kind of Idea of a lottery it seems great but I think the UI needs to be in a crips design so many people would surely dig into your site and are this ETH only or you can choose what type of coin you would make a bet, I think this should have a coin changer for you to pick what coin you would like, but again I like the idea of an online Lottery but as a new site this needs to be reviewed first so I will keep in watch.

The Lottoshi team will continue to optimize its experience, so far we’re pretty happy with our progress on making it transparent, fair and decentralized, UX is our next step.

Yes for now it’s ETH only.
71  Other / Off-topic / Re: Anyone playing here an e-lottery / e-gambling / e-casino / e-games on: December 20, 2019, 02:15:45 PM
I started looking into these.. as much as I want to try my luck, I don't know how to do this. though this has been an interest for me.

In crypto gambling I am playing Dice a lot.
With fiat i gamble on e-casinos and playing roulette. I am not profitable in neither occasions. However, I enjoy the process and I play with small amounts of money so I am not losing a lot of money.

There's one here posted Lottoshi I'm currently following https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5211183.msg53393879#msg53393879

Thanks for helping get the words out, we’re pretty proud of the fairness we can deliver with a fully decentralized mechanism, if anyone run into any questions please let us know we’ll take some time to optimize the experience.

73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Lottoshi, The Global Lottery Is Now Live! on: December 20, 2019, 02:08:23 PM
Welcome to bitcointalk. You guys are coming up with an interesting platform for them who love to testify their luck. Although i think my luck isn't too wide to win lotteries either its online based or offline Smiley. Basically for a platform like this you guys have to be 100%+ fair with your platform users to establish your business on another level. Hope you will serve honestly with your lottery purchasers and most interesting thing is that you guys have a choosen a nice name for your platform. I have already visited your website and it looks nice & clean to me. Although keeping whitepaper link on popup like  isn't so professional where users need smooth entrance to take a visit on your website. Maybe others have different tastes about this.

Due to lack of time i haven't take a deep look but maybe others gonna do that for sure. Its not a big thing to create good looking website but its important to be fair and honest with service.

Yes you’re right, we are proud of the fairness Lottoshi can deliver because anyone (participant or not) can contribute to the randomness of the drawn numbers by committing a secret number, it’s very much like shuffling, creating true randomness is not yet possible yet, for any CS majors out there it’d be common sense, instead of faking our randomness, we give control back to the users with our methods.

Thanks for the tip, we are still optimizing our UX, we’ll learn more from the users and make adjustments.
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Lottoshi, The Global Lottery Is Now Live! on: December 20, 2019, 02:02:46 PM
It's not really working for me when I log in to invest.

It's redirecting to MetaMask. Is this normal?

Yes this is normal, the bets are placed directly through your wallet, so as you can see this is fully decentralized.

77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The use of stable coins or no? on: December 18, 2019, 07:09:08 PM
Why would you want to use stable coins as fiat when the current digital money is still so convenient, stable coins have no advantages.
Stable coins’ main usage now remains in exchanges outsource onramping somewhere else.
