1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Careful With Your Slot Activity! on: July 07, 2022, 05:31:56 PM

I am not at all surprised by this story as I personally knew two people who were also reckless about gambling. They were friends and liked to play slots with a mug of beer. Very often on payday they would lose all their money at the casino. Sure, they would win big money, but most times they would come out of the casinos empty-handed. This went on for a couple of years until they got into debt.

Such stories remind us that you should never gamble with borrowed money because it is likely to end badly.
Exactly, this is common issue, just to remind all of gambler especially newbie to be careful if he was doing any gambling
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Careful With Your Slot Activity! on: July 07, 2022, 12:20:53 PM
Long time not online here and i'm back just wants to share a new case around me that related with gambling, especially slots.

My neighbor is in debt of $9000 just for playing slot games. This is bad, considering the amount of money in my country is enough to build a house.

History:
- His friends share the winnings from slot to him
- He is interested an trying to play
- He's being addicted
- Lose and owe to his friends and bank to play more but so sad he is loss again till his owe hitting $9000
- Hard to pay his owe, he finally ran away and now his family need to pay all of his debts.
- AFAIK, his family wants to sells their land to pay off the gambler's debt.

So, careful with your slot activity. make sure you are staying away from any loan just for slots. Actually, this case not from gambling sites just playing android games named "Higgs Domino"

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / [Discuss] $OCT - Octree Token on BSC, LP Lock 6 months, Audited, Deflationary on: March 08, 2021, 03:19:52 AM
This is not financial advice and not asking you to buy!

So, lets begin!

OCT is one of great project I find in BSC, the price of course being Pump and Dump scheme, it's normal in crypto and DEX. But, the development of this project look good. The price changed from 100 to 500 just in few days. Why it happens?

1. Deflationary tokens, burning 2% in every transfer
2. Auto farming with 1% to all OCT holder in every transfer
3. OCT DICE is now live
4. Farming will begin soon
5. More transaction, more decreased the supply
6. Liquidity Locked for 6 months with Cryptex
7. SC audited
8. DEX and Vault in near future will coming.

6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Accessing an ETH wallet from 2017? on: March 08, 2021, 03:06:07 AM
Maybe you can try to ceck the electrum version, sometimes it happens because need to update. You can try to use another way using seed phrase or even using private key if you have it. If updating electrum failed to load, and you doesnt have the key or seed, sorry to say, maybe you are losing your ETH.
7  Other / Beginners & Help / Why I Don't Think Using Paypal For Bitcoin Tx Is Needed, Newbie Need To Know on: October 24, 2020, 08:50:49 AM
Paypal adopted Bitcoin, this is very good news for the Bitcoin community. Because, Paypal is a payment media provider that is most commonly used throughout the world. Their bitcoin adoption made Bitcoin easier to use. However, there are some things I think why it is better not to use paypal even though they can now receive and send Bitcoin?

1. Disputes issue
The first thing you should remember is when you have a dispute. We can indeed track every transaction made using bitcoin. However, we must remember that there is a mix that makes bitcoin transactions difficult to trace. From here, when there is a dispute, it will be difficult for us to defend. Even with bank data we have, we can lose a dispute and have to return the money we receive. if you are lose on disputes, you need to refund the payments made by buyers. Or, if the sellers won on disputes, you will never got your money back.

2. Privacy concerns
If you really prioritize privacy, then making payments using bitcoin via paypal is a way that is not recommended. You are required to do KYC to make a certain nominal withdrawal.

3. The withdrawal process
I am no longer as paypal user, but from my experience, to withdraw money (fiat) it takes 1 - 3 days to be accepted. It is possible for bitcoin withdrawals to also go through a verification process and so on, which incidentally using an exchange will be easier to withdraw bitcoins than paypal. (I only speculate on this, because I do not use the service, if anyone uses and wants to add / correct please leave your comments)

4. Additional service fee
Make any payment directly between seller & buyers just need to pay network fees, I don't think Paypal will not ask additional service fee. So you need to double your fee (network + paypal fee). If the seller known as trusted seller, why we need to pay BTC via Paypal?
