1  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where do you get latest crypto news? on: January 22, 2020, 07:40:13 AM
I use Telegram. It's easy and saves a lot of my bandwidth. Here's the news channel that I join in:

- Cointelegraph (english) : https://t.me/cointelegraph
- CCN (english) : https://t.me/ccncom
- News Bitcoin (english) : https://t.me/www_Bitcoin_com
- Coindesk (english) : https://t.me/coindesk_news

I also join several ICO channels that share good news, such as geishafeed, cryptodaku, ICODrops, etc.
Highly recommended to join in.

And this https://blogchainzoo.com/

Best of luck for you!

Hi! Do you know how diamonds go from mining to jewelry, drugs from chemistry to capsules, or grapes from regional harvest to decadent wines?

From product development to distribution, every industry has a supply chain, and decentralized digital ledgers are primed to help increase their efficiency, transparency and real-time trackability.

Find out how, by downloading Blockchain's application in the Supply Chain Industry Infographics, created by the Blockchain Zoo. Check this out:

I just want to say that you are only denying the existence of God. How can you come up with the idea of God? Since you know Him, He exists. Another is that maybe it is your personal experience that makes yourself distance from God. Try to observe your surroundings. Can't you see how beautiful His creation? Well, I respect your view but I am not convinced of it. Smiley

If we can believe in such a thing so much, how can't we unbelieving it in such a thing so much too? As far as you believe God exists or not, there are other people whose opinions are your opposite with probably the most ridiculous reason you have ever heard. But it does not matter, nothing is a matter lol -just live today like its the last day. Pray, do good, be good, don't sin if you do believe in God and scared of hell. Or do good, be good for the sake of humanity and manners, spend time well if you do not believe in God.

Either don't kill because Jesus told you so, or don't kill because it's just simply immoral. Theist or Atheist or Agnostic, find your reason to be a good person.

I have never been minning and I might not be included here. but based on what I read, minning consumes a lot of electrical energy which is certainly not a good impact on the environment. if it is continued, then the effect will be global warming. in my opinion what should be emphasized here is how to optimize the lowest possible electrical energy. so, it doesn't cost a lot of electricity and also has a lot of electricity.

You ever heard about Proof of Participation? It's energy sufficient, probably greener than any other consensus Smiley
https://blogchainzoo.com/proof-of-participation/

Is it fundamentally different from DPOS? I think people who might support DPOS can accept Proof of Participation.
Forgive me do not have much time to carefully analyze.

Yes, quiet different. And nope, i don't think so for DPOS is way more centralized than PoP which is (from my opinion) the best option for decentralized system..

Blockchain is a reflection of a social organization, not just technology itself.
Based on the reality of the situation, POS chain's health arenot very good.
So before the POS is better, I still agree with the security of POW.
Hope ETH2 can change something..

I agree. PoW's security has been proven to be the longest secured track. But i think it won't last for so long, the fact that somebody with more processing power can take over the minority is a risky point for a decentralized network. Also considering the electricity consumption...

In this case i speak about decentralization.

The  important thing  is to have as many random people as possible participate in mining for the sake of decentralization and security  of a cryptocurrency. Bitcoin is not enough!

Yep in order to maintain the decentralize system, but it's also really possible to get centralized or 51% attack (though nearly impossible ya), i just think it's not a good mechanism for decentralization. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0sDtorfzG7w&t=788s

You should read about PoP seriously, it haven't been implemented by many but i am somehow sure it's a future consensus alogrithm for decentralization. Just google, Proof of Participation Blockchain Zoo . it is new but on 2008 bitcoin also weren't as hype and big as now, i'm sure they will find their way to the stars

Cheesy

IMO the fact that the strongest processing system could take over the minority is not decentralizing but cmiiw

12  Other / Politics & Society / Re: can the media be sued for falsifying serious information? on: December 19, 2019, 05:58:56 AM
Can and can not..

Media use words to attract us consumers, false or truth will not be recognized if they're good at playing words. But beside the question can media be sued for falsifying serious information?

here's a branch question for you :
1. What kind of false and truth are you talking about as all truth is a subjective truth and as long as someone able to play victim ,play the words, have a good lawyer with sweet mouth?
2. How can an information be considered as serious or not so serious/ important?

For example you saw a clickbaiting news and it seems like the writter/ media side on the killer. This media is 1 out of 20 who defend the killer and wrote about a case from the killer's side.

Let's say in this case- the reality is, what happened is- the killer is on news is not the actual killer. he became the killer because he's a good victim to be blame on. he's poor, he's on the wrong place at a wrong time, and he have nobody to defend.

Who justified the truth and false? Us who see, but from us who see- what kind of benchmark do we use?

Depends on what is your interpretation of "Decentralize" and "centralized"

Proof of Participation implemented by https://blockchainzoo.com/ i think is a better solution for decentralized mechanism.

No need to explain as i think this video have explained all Tongue https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SALlJhKbNlE&t=3s
16  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why I'm an atheist on: December 18, 2019, 03:24:21 AM
Atheist or not, if we can believe such a thing so much, why can't we unbelieving such a thing so much too? we live in our subjective truth, the world is evolving in our head. it does not matter because no one will ever gets out of this life alive Cheesy

and as much i believe no one will ever gets out of this life alive, i also believe maybe there is..
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What consensus alogrithm you think is best for blockchain ? on: December 18, 2019, 03:12:15 AM
Awsome! Thank you guys so much Cheesy

No one ask but for me i like PoW - i think it have the highest security also longest proven track record but cons are their electricity consumption is a big issues, and the fact with more processing power can take over the minority for me is risky. https://blogchainzoo.com/proof-of-work/

Also i vote for PoP (Proof of Participation)- which i think for now is the best decentralized mechanism. There are of course also some cons but i pick this as my best / better than the other consensus.  https://blogchainzoo.com/proof-of-participation/

Let me know what you think of it..
18  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Global Warming Real? on: December 17, 2019, 04:05:38 AM
Subjective reality.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What consensus alogrithm you think is best for blockchain ? on: December 17, 2019, 03:02:22 AM
Since you mention Blockchain, rather than Bitcoin or any specific Blockchain application, then there's no correct or reasonable answer for your question.

All other protocols are somehow reducing decentralization to increase scalability (which is your concern, although you didn't mention it)

Or have different weakness (e.g. 51% hashrate on PoW and nothing on stake on few PoS variant)

Exactly! I'm not trying to find the "correct" answer as i believe there's only subjective truth.. and it doesn't have to be reasonable, to know something and sharing perspective is satisfying.. and i do survey from various platform so yeah let's see if PoW win or ..PoS ..(which i think is the most popular now :/)

Wink
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What consensus alogrithm you think is best for blockchain ? on: December 17, 2019, 02:54:39 AM
and i did mention decentralized system..

Cheesy
You are in a bitcoin forum.
Ofc most veteran users here will tell you that POW is the best, for numerous reasons. For now, in the opnion of most people here, it is the only way to secure the network while keeping it decentralized.

All other protocols are somehow reducing decentralization to increase scalability (which is your concern, although you didn't mention it)

The trade-off decentralization x scalability is not worth now.

Yes lol i questioned this everywhere... like a mini survey! :p from those numerous reason- what do you think is strongest reason compared to the other? just one.. from your sights..

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nOmbqHkdaxg here i found interesting - why pow is the best mechanism and why it isn't.

That's just an example-from pow.. i expect to hear more though yeah this is bitcoin forum lol
