41  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Global Warming Real? on: November 24, 2019, 07:40:42 AM
Anyone can say it's not real - or real. But it does not matter.

Sometimes you go too deep into the question till you realize you're not going anywhere.

Either it's real or not, if we can do things that are good for both us and earth, why not?
Why wait till it went worse?

For me i think, blockchain technology is one of the world's mass solution to reduce things that caused global warming. If you think global warming is real, or not (yet), imo you guys should start knowing and learning about this kind of knowledges. There are a lot of ways of course, but here in case you want to know the brief explanations of how tech like blockchain can help :

There are indeed a lot of room left to see about what is going to happen, but i'm not sure and i would love to know about your opinions. Bitcoin dominance is indeed high right now, but how do you think it will be around 20 years in the future ?
i think this must be in speculation section that you can find here

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=57.0

better transfer this for more appropriate answers.

Thank you!

anyway for me?the domination of bitcoin may have a chance to change in that 20 years because there will be another currencies that may prove its capacity to serve more the cryptonians and maybe the supporters will change hands when the time comes.

Awsome, thank you for the answer Cheesy
43  Other / Off-topic / Re: How does you estimate the current situation of crypto market? on: November 22, 2019, 04:21:17 AM
There will be many cryptocurrency will emerge, but I think Bitcoin will continue to dominate even though there will be many cryptocurrency that claim to be better and more sophisticated than bitcoin, but the situation will not be much different as it is today. Bitcoin will stay on top.

How can you be so sure about that? :/
44  Other / Off-topic / Re: astrology on: November 21, 2019, 04:28:24 AM
AI cannot explain to you how astrology works, but it does

It's not the astrology that works. It's simply faith.

Consider placebo effect in healing. Tests have shown as high as 33% healing rates through placebo effect. It's all about faith.

What this means is, if anyone actual believes in anything, it will work for him to some extent. That's why the atheists have strong faith in atheism. They want it to exist, so it exists for them, even though they don't realize that it is like a religion, and that it is false.

When one REALLY believes in something that is real, the results can be fantastic, way beyond placebo effect. That's why the early Christian church had so much success with healing and miracle doing. Not only did they believe, but they believed in God Who is real.

Cool

Yes omg i can relate. It's science, it's all science. If it can't be proven scientifically, it's not real - but i think it does not matter anyway.. if it helps, good!
45  Economy / Economics / Re: Can online platforms like Youtube and Facebook really be decentralized? on: November 21, 2019, 04:16:13 AM
It would work with no one having full control of the content platforms, which means that they wouldn't be able to regulate their platforms unless everyone would agree with the moves.

Wouldn't it function like Wikipedia? So it would work that people require permission from everyone in order for things to be changed (so it would need permission from everyone in order for content to be taken down).

That's the way it should work - single companies don't need this much power.

But rich can pay people to spam the network with same point for it to be change... Anyone with money and power can change the truth and it can be centralized in some other way...
46  Economy / Economics / Re: Can online platforms like Youtube and Facebook really be decentralized? on: November 21, 2019, 03:56:32 AM
I think it is possible to decentralize everything, even the likes of youtube and facebook. I cannot go on the specifics because I am not a programmer nor a coder myself but there are apps that are decentralized, popularly known as DApps. I think an app similar to youtube or facebook which is built on a distributed ledger is going to become a decentralized one.

I think not, it doesn't mean that if you observed something that decentralize, all of the things around you can also decentralized. They have different levels of standard to be able to achieve that.

For example, let's say Youtube, it is a powerful and broad social media platform and nothing can influences it easily. You need to achieve those standards.

Absolutely agree.

I think both decentralization and centralization system have their plus and minus. Not all thing can and should be decentralized, for Youtube and Facebook i think it's better that way- centralized (but not too obvious/ much) . Different for financial transactions i believe decentralization will be so much better..

But do you think we can trust the system much more than what we have trust yeaarsss ago from bank? I mean, it'll be hard to be the part of something different from what's already in mind..

The bottom-line point is, talking about global warming does 2 things:
1. Provides for fun conversation;
2. Doesn't change what the weather will be.

Cool

Lol yeah but also it's really good to speak out and raise awareness which can impact the weather in the future.

So our current project, ZooBC from Blockchain Zoo have just created our V0.2 Whitepaper Draft here :

file:///C:/Users/BCZ-Associate/Downloads/Telegram%20Desktop/ZooBC%20Whitepaper%20Draft%20-%20V0.2%20(4).pdf
I think your white paper might benefit from being hosted on a web server of some kind instead of just being stored on your hard drive that nobody else has access to, because that sort of mistake doesn't exactly inspire a lot of confidence in your development team's competence. Undecided

Hi, yes i am sorry for that- sent you the wrong link. It's been edited now

Here is blockchain glossary to address your questions, i found it very helpful for beginners like us :

https://blogchainzoo.com/glossary/

A better glossary/terminology is presented in the forum which is best to me. I have attached the link below. In the bitcoin.org website, I found some glossary which is far better than the link you have attached. For your info, there's no much better guideline/resources/suggestion etc. than bitcointalk forum. It's full of the legend. We are lucky to have a lot of legends around us here.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=126798.0

Checked! Thank you Cheesy

I would love to give you my feedback but unfortunately I cannot access you local disk!
If you don't have such knowledge I am afraid that you are not able enough to launch a blockchain project, where more technical parts exist.

Hello, i am so sorry - my bad! And yes, i'm new to this that's why i join the discussion, to learn more. It's not me who launch the project, the founders are experts and very professional, i collect feedbacks to help them but yes forgive my unprofessionalism send you the wrong link  Sad , here is the link to check out in case you're curious about the project https://zoobc.com/

And here is the link to the wp :

Some people believe that global warming is just the conspiracy to control the development of industrial country. Sometime, I think so. What about you?

Well,  global warming is indeed real. Like, man open your eyes it's everywhere. Could you elaborate with the words "conspiracy.."? Though we have reasons to be skeptics, the argument must be clear.. for me, i stand between agree and disagree.. but it's not the matter, the effects are real. ...

Care to explain what it is you see that is so "real?"

I live in Indonesia, where the forrests are burning everywhere and the temperature now is not as good as the old days. It's getting warmer and warmer. However we humans did not get impacted too much for now, the animals are dying and for long term it's not going to be good for our ecosystem, for us. https://www.wwf.org.uk/learn/effects-of/climate-change there you go, link you to what i said is so "real".

Here is another evidence from nasa's sights https://climate.nasa.gov/evidence/

Now care to explain what it is you see is not so "real"? Cheesy
59  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Global Warming Real? on: November 15, 2019, 06:43:13 AM
yeah, It is real. becasue mankind was killing the Earth

I have a quiet unique sights for this.. Mankind killing the earth? I don't think so.. Theory of evolution by Darwin, only the strongest one could live, we humans try to survive but not all of us can survive. Earth is balancing itself. Human annoyed the mama, so mama earth make a strategy to get rid of humans.

Also, i think the earth is always and will stay balanced. Climate change is real, but it's not going to kill the earth, it's going to kill us. How old is our earth? How old is human being? There's no way the earth could die because of us, that's just silly. The possible ways earth can die is because of large space objects, the death of the sun which is billionnnnnsssss years in the future, etc. We underestimate the earth too much,

Sometimes its funny ,we talk about climate change and how earth is dying.. in fact it's climate change and how humans are going to kill theirselves.

By the way, it's just a thoughts of mine... i hope no one feel offended or something Smiley

Lol.  That 'insight' is not at all unique.  It is the standard doctrine of some of the eco-centered religious sects.

Handily enough there is nothing especially wrong with aligned 'wise men' helping the process along.  It doesn't fundamentally conflict with the idea that Mother Earth evolved means of getting what She wants/needs.  Their high-priest class is just the a tool in her tool kit.

It's pretty universal that religious sects develop philosophies which happen to be convenient for the leadership class of the sect.  It might be that people give a 10% of their wealth to God (by way of the church's coffers.)  Or it might be that the herd gets culled periodically (and if She uses the scient-priests that She created then that does make inherent sense as a way to "get 'er done.")

lol okay. I was replying to a comment "Humans are killing the earth." I think it's just too hypocrite to say "Earth is Dying" "we must save the earth", i was just saying a logical fact. And yes you are right, it does not matter anyway. What is matter now is what we can do about it. I've contributed through small scale, from myself.

Speaking of it, because we're on the bitcoin forum, i think blockchain is an amazing technology which i found can help the climate change on a big scale. I'm still learning though, was interested because of this website https://blogchainzoo.com/climate-blockchange/

I'm wondering, what do you think about it? I mean, the correlation between blockchain technology and climate change..
