Friends and Crypto believers!

ORCA Alliance is having a panel discussion in the European Parliament about the future of cryptocurrency in the EU, the meetup is taking place on the 7th of December. We are currenty on the lookout for representatives from the crypto community to share their expertise with the Member of the European Parliament.

INTENTION
Evidently cryptocurrencies are the most revolutionary financial and technological innovations of the last decade. Legal ambiguity and lack of clear regulations remain the biggest issues preventing widescale adoption of cryptocurrencies and the overall growth of the industry. Legal and regulatory systems are struggling to catch-up in the European Union. How can cryptocurrencies reinforce EU financial ecosystem? Should Europe bring this 250 billion Euro market out of the background into the economy?

The event aims to present and discuss the cryptocurrency development, use cases and future adoption of cryptocurrencies in European Union. During the panel discussion we will cover cryptocurrency regulation, user protection, legal, security and protection challenges currently arising in the market; we will also address the demand for a concise regulatory system in the EU and the need of a recommended governance model that would be suitable for the implementation of safe and sustainable conditions for the wider public adoption of cryptocurrencies in the EU.

ORCA Alliance is gathering together blockchain developers, cryptocurrency enthusiasts, professional investors, finance analytics, parliamentarians and all like-minded supporters. Assuring that crypto activists need to take an active role in shaping the future of European financial and regulatory landscape.

If you are in Brussels or somewhere near and want to share your thoughts or ideas during panel discussion please contact via DM or https://t.me/ORCAalliance to book a seat.

Disgusting BTC making me insecure !

I think some western traders already cashed out for Christmas sooner than previous years lol. BTW, according to what I read, some whales tried to create FUD (Binance office raid, China ban more crypto exchange..etc..) to accumulate more BTC. Besides, some China ponzi organizations sold on Huobi and Okex leading to this severe dump.

This is normal since the introduction of leverage trading. When you could only sell in anticipation of the dump the market was more stable but now every move can trigger an avalanche of bot sales and liquidated shorts. That fast move up and down looked like a short squeeze attempt.

Somebody wanted to liquidate people so he bought a lot of coins to pump the price but it didn't go very far and he saw that and sold everything he bought minutes earlier.
Perhaps you mean 11/12/2019 (November 12, 2019)
I'm sure he meant the above and that he was writing the date in the european style, which I'm also not used to.

Disgusting BTC making me insecure !
You sound like you might have more invested in it than you can afford to lose if these price swings are driving you crazy.  Maybe you should reevaluate how much bitcoin you own so you can keep your sanity, because this past week hasn't been any more crazy than a lot of other times in its history.  Plus, this kind of volatility is going to be a part of bitcoin and altcoins for the foreseeable future.

I wasn't into bitcoin in the early days, but by looking at the chart I can see that those were probably the most insane times imaginable, right up until Mt. Gox crashed.  And I do vividly remember 2017 and how wild the market was then.  It was going up, so everyone was euphoric but it can also go the other way too, and just as fast.

I agree, it's full of swings and roundabouts and that kind of turbulence should be expected to continue. I've no doubt that Bitcoin is the most solid investment to be made still (Ethereum not too far behind) but its not for everybody... ive seen a few guys already lose their shit with every dip.

Bitcoin is known for its volatility. There nothing crazy about it. Historically Bitcoin has been more volatile than what it did on Nov 12th. If you go back and check the price of Bitcoin for the last two years, it has outperformed.

The current price of Bitcoin is $8800. If you. Heck the price in the last two years it was:

2018 12th of Nov - $6371
2017 12th of Nov - $5950.

There is an increase of  $2850 if I consider the price of 2017. Therefore everything is going in the right direction. Stay positive..

You said it right. Bitcoin may go up or down 20 % in a mater of few hours.

Yep. Totally agree with this also.
We could even see higher percentages than that on average as the commercial banking world gets more and more involved in trading.
